This is the 2nd time I've used red oak cleaners and the 1st time I've had a large king size comforter cleaned at a cleaner. It's white and I've only had it for about 4 months. I picked it up and it had yellow streaks/ stains on it in several areas. And the guy said they were already there and I explained that nothing has ever been spilled on it and it most definitely was not there before. He laughed at me like I was crazy. Let's first start with I only used this cleaners because I'm new to the area, and both times I have had problems with the customer service and quality. The first time I used them I had iron marks and black marks on my shirt, And white starch marks on my pants. Saturday I go to pick up my uniform before closing at 4:45 after they told me to come before 5:00, and literally had to beg the lady to give me my uniform because it wasn't even 5:00 yet. Now today I go because my name tag was missing from my pickup on Saturday and Anne the manager was so rude to me I literally lost my cool. I asked her could she just take my name down and give me a call if she found it, she continued to speak very loudly to me "it's not here, your name tag is your responsibility" I told her I understood that, but just take my number down, and give me a call. She continued to speak very loudly and rude to me, I asked her multiple times to lower her voice and talk to me like I was talking to her, she yelled " you want me to do you a favor, and you act like you don't understand what I'm saying, I don't have it". After another few minutes of this lady literally yelling that she didn't have my tag, and me asking her to take my number down, Before I knew it I screamed back "I am a paying customer, and having you call me if you find it, is customer service not a favor". At this point I am over it, and of course she becomes the victim and starts saying why are you yelling at me , when customers start to come in. I Asked her for her name and she screamed "Anne" the manager as if that would make her above a yelp review. I have been coming here on and off for about 8 years. I have tried different places every now and then but always ended up coming back to Red Oak Cleaners. The price and quality of work are the main reasons I keep coming back. Last week I dropped off 4 pants and 12 shirts and I paid around $20. I've been to several other cleaners in the area and was charged way more than that. The quality is beyond superior. I often spill coffee and food on my dress shirts and they can usually remove every one of the stains with no problems. I can't say enough about how clean and neat my clothes is when I pick them up. :) The only complaint I have is that they don't speak English very well and it sometimes takes me an extra minute to communicate with them. I left my woman slacks to replace the invisible zipper this month. I picked up my slacks to discover they did not install the new invisible zipper in correctly. I contacted Red Oak Cleaners and informed them and returned the slacks for them to correct the issue. Three days later I returned to the facility to pick-up my slacks as promised and they had not done anything to correct the issue! The manager start telling me some outlandish foolishness about having to get another zipper from the manufacturer to complete the job. I tried to explain there was nothing wrong with the newly installed zipper other than it was put in incorrectly. He nor any of his workers had a clue about what was required to correct the issue and refused to return my money so that I could get another seamstress to install my zipper properly. I've been a consistent customer at this cleaners for 5 years! Today I went to pick up my Son's uniform shirts for his first day of school only to find the patches were sewed on the sleeves instead of over his heart which was specified on the receipt and also in the system since this is the 4th year in a row that they have performed this exact same service without issue. I asked for the shirts to be corrected and for a refund for the inconvenience, since my Son had to miss his first day of school since he would have been "out of dress code"! The manager refused to refund me my money and has yet to contact me to apologize and rectify the mistake. They don't value loyal customers and it's obvious since they'd rather lose a long time customer over $32! This place does an excellent job with both dry cleaning and tailoring. Their prices are reasonable and customer service has always been pleasant. I was impressed with their dedication to customer satisfaction with one particular dress that I took to get tailored. They wouldn't let me take the dress home until I was fully happy with the way they had fixed it; it took like 3 times for the seamstress to make adjustments to the dress but she never complained to me nor told me it couldn't be done. I live far from this business but would make the drive to get something tailored here because their work is quality. read more

I have been using this cleaner for over five years and have never had any problems. I know that the cleaners was recently sold about six months ago and the quality of service has gone down drastically. I continued to stay and try and be understanding that it takes time to adjust to new owners. But sadly this last two weeks was more than I'm willing to stay and tolerate. I take my husbands shirt in their to be dry cleaned. Last week when I picked up his shirt they had ruined one of the shirts. This week I pick up his shirts and they have now ruined three shirts. The prices are amazingly low. You can drop off by 9am and pick up the same day by 5pm which is very convenient. There is also a 20% discount for prepaid if you have actual cash. Dress shirts are also discounted if you dry clean at least 3 other items on the same order. Customer service has always been excellent for me with low wait times and I have never had an item damaged or lost. My only complaint is that I do not feel they change their cleaning solution enough as you get a dirty dry cleaning solution smell on your clothes pretty often. I let my clothes air out and spray febreeze after pickup but I do have friends that have changed dry cleaners because of the problem. read more

THEY STOLE/OR LOST MY AMIRI JEANS, I PAID OVER $900 FOR THEM !!!! On August 27th 2021 around 12:00 noon, I visited Red Oak Cleaners to make my routine drop off of dry cleaning. Every visit I tend to take a substantial amount of clothes because I no longer live in the area and I like their services. I normally pay my balance when I pick up my clothes, however on this particular day, the clerk by the name Celzuma (cannot find receipt with exact spelling of her name), she was very persistent that I pay in advance, offering me a 20% discount. Personally it felt as if she believe I was no capable of paying for my items but hesitantly I agreed since there was a discount involved. When i returned on August 31st to pick up my items, I was told there was a discrepancy with prices and that I owed $24.35, upset but i agreed and proceeded to pick up clothes with thought of never returning. While I was paying another clerk went to retrieve my items, she seemed as she was having a hard time find some pieces as i was still waiting after i paid again. However i was handed 4 or 5 sets of clothing, which i should have checked piece for piece but because i was a frequent customer i trusted them and don't know them to ever lose any of my items in previous visits. I returned home and like anyone just hung up my newly dry cleaned clothes. Fast forward a week later to September 10th, as I was prowling through my closet i ran across a tag for a pair my jeans that i took to the cleaners the previous week. I specifically remembered where the tag came from because it was too my most expensive pair of jean I own. I also distinctly remember removing the tag before walking to Red Oak Cleaners of August 27th, it was my first time ever dry cleaning this pair of jeans and wanted to ensure it was not damaged for authenticity purposes. After noticing it I immediately went to my dry cleaning I had hung up a week previously. HOWEVER TO MY SURPRISE THE AMIRI JEANS I HAD DROPPED OFF A WEEK BEFORE WERE NOT APART OR WITH ANY OF THE CLOTHES I HAD PICKED UP PRIOR. How could this be? They never done this before? Why didn't they call to tell me I left something? I immediately called them as soon as i noticed what had happen, I tried to explain my situation in the absolute most detail i could & I spoke with a female who seem to have a slight translation barrier but from what i could understand she told me "She would look into it right away and call me back" this was at 9:31 am. After not hearing back from them i called at 4:20 pm for a follow-up. I spoke with the same lady who before but this time she wasnt being very clear at all, so I decided to drive there as this is a very expensive item and it had already been a week of me being unaware they were gone. It took me a hour to make it to their location only for me them to tell me "They dont have them , They gave me everything i brought". I told them multiple times this is impossible , i specifically removed my tag for dry cleaning purposes and i know for a fact , those jeans will show on their camera system because when i dropped them off, the clerk specifically set the jeans aside and counted them pair for pair. So I'm sure the camera can show when she had the specific pair in her hand. However of course they were not willing to review any camera footage , all they could say is we checked and we don't have it. Now I'm not the smartest person ever but if my jeans were only in possession of their care and i never received them back, that means they lost them. I feel robbed , but what can you do when a brick-and-mortar business is the robber? Please help someone , i work to hard for my things and I shouldn't be robbed of my things because a business refuses to take responsibility for their mistake. read more

We recently moved farther away and I tried another cleaners and they charged me almost 3 times what Red Oak charges, and didn't starch my husbands jeans like he prefers. I had been for at least 5 years and saw managers come and go, along with staff. The main reason I came was been they were decent, not excellent. I let that slide because they were close to my house. However, since the new management took over specifically the younger Asian couple, the customer service went way down. Not only did they regularly crush the buttons on dress shirt sleeves, they treat their customers like crap. And it doesn't matter if you have been with them for years. I would ask them to fold the arms of my dress shirts so that my shirts would not wrinkle before I wore them, however 9/10 times I would have to ask them to do it or at least give me the clips so that I could do it, every time I picked up my clothes.Keep in mind I have been coming to them for years. I told the so call woman manager and she blame me, then told me that she would not be able to process my clothes for 4 days. Shocked, I ask, do you all care if you lose customers?which she said, no I don't.They are too expensive to give such poor service. Save your money and the headache, find someone who appreciates your business. On another note I don't think this is the case, but I hate it when I go to nicer areas and get great customer service but when I'm in a rougher part of town, the companies feel like they can treat black people any kind of way.And we keep giving them our business. read more

I dropped off 17 pairs of slacks. When I picked them up I noticed two of the pants tags attached to the receipt that should have been attached to my pants. I counted my pants and only had 15 pair. When I again looked at the receipt I noticed that the number 17 had a line through it and the number 14 was written next to it. I returned to the store and spoke to the Female Manager. She told me that I only had 14 and I told her No I had 17. The counter girl and I counted 3 times. She then proceeded to go and look at the store video of when I dropped them off, and came back to tell me that she counted on the video that I "ONLY" dropped 14 pairs off. I then told her I physically took home 15 pairs and that I am only missing two pair. She couldn't say anything. You can't even do the math to help out your lying cover up! Her husband wanted to chime in and tell me that it was double counted because that's what the video shows. Which he did not look at. I told him don't tell me what I know to be true, I know what I am missing! I told them it was my fault for coming back to trust them with my clothes again after one time before this, they lost my whole lot of clothes because one of their employees put them in the wrong place. It took them a day to find them. Before I got too pissed because of the incompetence of the people in front of me, I let them know I will Never do business there again. Yes, they are very Nice until they mess up and lose or damage your clothes and tell you it is Your fault and No fault of theirs. Take your chance!!! read more

I was a pretty regular customer. I would come in to have my work clothes dry cleaned. Normally, things were fine. Nothing special. I purchased three white shirts and wanted to have a "professional pressed look". I had inspected them before purchase and at home before removing the tag to have the items pressed at the cleaners. I dropped the items off myself and picked them up the next day. I inspected the items and found blue dye like lines on the sleeve of one shirt. I asked them about the marks. They said, "Press only. We don't check for stains." I told them that the shirts were new and that it looked like some sort of dye rubbed against them. Then, there was a lot of back and forth of "Dry clean only" from the owner, the guy who pressed the shirt, and the owner's daughter. Eventually, they said that they could refund the money, but would have to wrinkle the shirt. I said, "Fine". The daughter then proceeded to ball up my shirt and crush it against the counter with her full weight repeatedly. Then, she continued to crush and twist the shirt in front of me as I waited for to finish "wrinkling" the shirt. Eventually, I said that I think the shirt was wrinkled enough, took the shirt from her and my two others, and left. I called about ten minutes later after I gathered my thoughts in order to say how poorly I felt I had been treated. I worked very hard to buy those shirts and I (sort of) understand the need to make sure I do not get a "free" press( I still needed to get the stains out some way), but I thought the whole thing was a bit overboard (my refund was $1.48) esp. since I was a repeat and often bring large amounts of clothing there and had never made one complaint before that day. She said that a lot of customers try to cheat them out of money and sort of did the blow off "Sorry" then just hung up on me. It was quite disappointing and insulting. read more
