From my nail tech Hayley, to Marlina at the front desk, to Cella herself, I've had an amazing experience so far. I've only been twice so far, but already know I don't ever want to take my business elsewhere. The first time I got a luminary overlay set with gel polish and the second time I got a fill in with gel polish as well. They didn't chip or lift for FIVE WEEKS. Hayley did the cutest designs, was very meticulous, and is all about the customer experience. The whole salon is, really... did I mention they offer complimentary mimosas?! I cannot stress enough how satisfied with the work they do and their customer service. They're in the process of onboarding some amazing new nail techs as well. When I arrived, they were EXTREMELY busy--there were lots and lots of people there! I did not have an appointment, and the young lady at the front was very nice and upfront with me about the wait. She told me it could be about an hour, or I could come back around 4:00. I decided to stay and wait, and fortunately, it ended up only being about 30-35 minutes, which really wasn't bad at all. I used the time to look through their polish selections and decide what color I wanted. The gentleman who did my nails was nice. I could tell that he seemed a little tired, which was understandable considering how busy they were. He was patient while I tried to decide between a couple of colors and walked over with me so I could show him exactly what I wanted. I do wish the actual service had felt a little more relaxing and pampering. I wouldn't necessarily say he was rushing, but I would have preferred for him to slow down just a little and use a bit more care, especially while buffing my nails. At one point, I could feel some burning from the buffer. He was apologetic when I mentioned it, but I think a little more gentleness and attention during that part of the service would have made the experience much better. With that being said, he did an excellent job with the actual polish! This was my first time trying cat-eye polish, and it is definitely different from what I expected--it is VERY shiny! I'm still deciding how I feel about the style itself, but the application was done very well. Overall, my first experience was okay. Nothing happened that would keep me from returning, and I definitely want to give them another try. Since they were so incredibly busy during this visit, I would like to go back during a slower time, possibly with an appointment, and experience the salon when things are a little less hectic. I went in for a shellac pedicure and a short almond builder-gel French manicure. The services came to $164, and I paid $187 including tip. I was told the pedicure was $65, so the manicure came to about $100. My complaint is about the manicure, not the pedicure. Jennifer was great. During the first attempt, Kimmi cut my thumb. The nails were also different lengths, the base looked clear near the bottom, and I could see white spots through the pink. I raised my concerns during the appointment. The owner stayed late to adjust the nails and added tips to two that were too short. I arrived around 5:30 p.m. and left at almost 8:30 p.m. I waited, talked with her, and still tipped because I appreciated her effort. After the adjustment, I was still unhappy with the finished set. The builder gel looks thick and bulky from the side, the shapes and lengths don't look consistent to me, and the French tips vary. I'm posting photos of the first attempt and clearer photos of the finished nails taken four days later. When I called back, I was told they had already tried their best. The owner said she had asked me how things looked throughout the appointment. I appreciate the time she spent trying to fix them, but being polite and tipping didn't mean I was happy with the result. After four years as a customer, I expected a cleaner manicure at this price.
