Prices are fair and all is good here but don't expect anyone to talk to you in this place unless you're a regular.

Legends has extremely competitive pricing (Games Workshop stuff usually 20% off!) and a very nice selection of board games, comic books, cards, minatures, and geeky merch (I definitely picked up a Rainbow Dash mug on my last visit here.) If they don't have something that you have your eye on, you can connect with them to see if they will order it for you (which they likely will, if they can!) Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. Customer service here is quite friendly. I'd HIGHLY reccomend checking out Legends if you are in/around the Vaughan area to get your geek on :).

It's like Walmart lol you go in for one thing and leave with 10. There's a pretty good selection of board games, both popular and obscure. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll gladly order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. The guys who work there are all very nice and very knowledgeable. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.

They have a children's area which has the material from their old Little Island location. I could imagine taking a nibling in there to go comics shopping and having a good time. Entry requires masking which, well, we're still in the middle of a pandemic so protecting the staff and yourselves is just a good idea. The books aren't cheap but they don't overcharge, so that's good; you need to just disabuse yourself of the brain poison that Amazon has infected everyone with.

Their selection is pretty solid, with lots of titles from smaller publishers and creators overseas already in store, so if you're in a rush for something you thought was obscure, the Beguiling might have you covered! Because they do have a wide selection, and possibly because they are handling a number of orders this season, i did experience a discrepancy between their website vs. in-store inventory. However, the have great online service. When I made an query they were super quick to respond, and they were also very helpful in making alternative suggestions to replace what they didnt have in stock. As for the pick up, they have staff stationed at a partitioned checkout window, so when you arrive you can walk up, give your name and pay for your order safely amd easily. Staff inside also have access to a microphone in case someone's having a hard time hearing. Overall, as they profess, the Beguiling does live up to its claim of premium window shopping. Whether comics and zines are your jam or if you need a zine/comic-related gift for someone else, consider visiting the Beguiling website or strolling up to their shopping window. If you can't visit in person, they also offer free delivery on orders of $80+.

There are some small racks for the weeklies, and a few racks of trade paper backs, and other books. But, this is mostly about buying Funko Pops, and t-shirts, and other things. The prices are not competitive, but I suppose it is the type of place where if you know you want... something... and you need it right now, it's the place to go. It's just not the type of shop for me, anymore.

I saw graphic t-shirts on sale. What stopped me in my tracks were a ton of plushies. It has a good selection of Squishmallows. If you love Funko Pop figurines, you will find a wall full of them and more. It was impressive. I spent a good chunk of time checking them out. I particularly loved the R2-D2 and C-3PO ones. I was delighted to find Grogu Funko Pops. One was a keychain, which I had to purchase. The other was a larger one by the checkout area, on the top left shelf. It looked amazing. I'm sure it costs and arm and a leg. The man at the checkout was friendly and chatty. I signed up for the newsletter. I'm still waiting to see what that's like. There's supposed to be a rewards system coming up. Nice! My Grogu keychain didn't have any tax on it. Sweet! I love it. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. It was such a small item that I put it in my pocket. I thanked the man and left the store and mall, walking a while to get to my car. I will return to this store. I'd like to get the R2-D2 and Grogu Funko Pop figures. (48)

I took a video of me going through the comics, and waited until Tuesday. I called in advance to make sure he was in, he asked what I had and I told him that information was emailed to him, to which he informed me he hasn't looked at that. Ok, sure undeterred I walk down there with a bag of comics and find no comic shop at the address. I call him and he tells me its 3 blocks west, alright cool no problem. When I get in there and start taking the comics out he asks what I have, and I said the best things I have in here are Spiderman 2099 #1 & 2, to which the comic book guy attitude starts up. I said that's ok if you don't want them, but it's still the best thing in this bunch i have here. He offered me nothing. I did check the price of some of them online, and as a musician who uses the internet for gear- I'm used to seeing those prices and realizing thats not what you'll always get, but I knew some of the stuff did have some value. Here's what would've been great- If he had looked at the email I sent, as instructed by the employee. And if you know what kind of comics you will take, maybe share those guidelines. And update your google address. Or dont, honestly you're better off going to another business anyway.
