Easily one of my favourite places to nerd out at. And DEFINITELY my favourite place to nerd out at…read morein the GTA. Legends has extremely competitive pricing (Games Workshop stuff usually 20% off!) and a very nice selection of board games, comic books, cards, minatures, and geeky merch (I definitely picked up a Rainbow Dash mug on my last visit here.) If they don't have something that you have your eye on, you can connect with them to see if they will order it for you (which they likely will, if they can!) Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. Customer service here is quite friendly. I'd HIGHLY reccomend checking out Legends if you are in/around the Vaughan area to get your geek on :).

It's like Walmart lol you go in for one thing and leave with 10. There's a pretty good selection of board games, both popular and obscure. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll gladly order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. The guys who work there are all very nice and very knowledgeable. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.

It was nice to stop and take in what's along Main Street. This street has a variety of shops and services. It's rich in history. Main Street is a hill. At the top of it is Old Flame Brewing Co., which used to be the Old Fire Hall. This fire station was established in 1952 and served the community until 1972. I frequent the lower part of Main Street more. It's where Fairy Lake is. I have been to the Newmarket Craft Beer Festival at Wesley Brooks Conservation Area. You get a lovely view of Fairy Lake and its surroundings while enjoying a variety of craft beer from around Ontario, along with some good local food. I recently visited Ghost Taco. It's puts a unique, modern twist on tacos. It offers two types of birria tacos. It also offers vegetarian options, such as the charred brussels sprout taco. This street has everything from restaurants, to spas and salons. I have Chips & Malt, and The George on Main for fish and chips, and cream soda beer (thanks, Jason), respectively. I also want to visit Replenish General Store, which offers fine foods, personal care products, and more. The Newmarket Farmers' Market started this past Saturday. It typically runs from the first week of May till the last Saturday of October every year, from 8 am till 1 pm. It's a cool place to buy farm-fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and good eats for breakfast or lunch. The activity is reminiscent of how things were in the town of Newmarket as a new market back in the day. There is street parking, but it gets fairly busy, especially on weekends. I recommend parking by Newmarket Riverwalk Commons. There's more parking there, it's free, and it runs parallel to Main Street. Newmarket's Main Street is quaint and enjoyable to check out. I used to spend a lot of time in the area and stopped. It was nice to revisit the area. I hope to drop by more often. (181)
