Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable to lead you to or point you in the right direction for what interest you have. When I want to walk around aimlessly and read all the magazines in the store without getting dirty looks I come here! This is a pretty huge Chapters or Indigo or whatever the name is these days. It's clean and all the staff are really friendly but not follow you around, in your face kinda friendly. I don't need friends like that. That is what family is for :) I also love to browse all the little gadgets and accessories section. They have some cute Kate Spade items, as well as candles, jewellery, kitchen items. They have some really nice engraved (initials in script form) cheeseboards as well as gold lettered initial mugs. Makes great gifts and gives it that personal touch. I also bought a gorgeous faux fur scarf. I'm in love every time I wear it. I love their huge discount section as I love to read and buy books often. But I also like to pay my mortgage and eat so I can have both my cake and eat it as well here! But I can also go to Starbucks if I really really want some cake too. So technically I can have it ALL! read more

Good selection. Have always been able to find what I was looking for and there's always a staff member around when you need them. There is a large discount book section in the children's area. Was able to get some good books at a great price for the baby shower! Love their gift section. Beautiful and unique. Check out line goes quickly as well! read more

This is my go-to Chapters. There are others that I'll try and test, but I always seem to find myself back here to make most of my purchases. What I love about them is the sheer size and organization of the store. It's HUGE and thankfully it's all one level so it makes browsing much easier. It doesn't matter where I am but I find myself getting lost whether it's in a book, the baby section, greeting cards, stationary, and last but not least their sale section. When they've priced down things their sale section (located near the Starbucks), it overflows and items readily tumble into my shopping bag. If you've got a question, it's not difficult to find people to help you out. It's never really that busy during weekdays, more so on the weekends. There is plenty of parking. It's in the vicinity of TD bank, Party City, Metro, Foody World, and Mucho Burrito. Only issue is that sometimes the line up can get long and you'll only have one person click-clacking away on their register. It takes quite a bit of people in the line up before they finally call for back up. Even so, this is definitely one of my happy places. read more

This store is always immaculately clean and organized. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful every time I go here. This is my favorite location, hand down. I love this Chapters. It's big and it's the perfect place to read on a Sunday afternoon. There is also free wifi, so you could definitely hang out for hours. I never have an issue finding a book that I want or gifts for my friends. There is so much selection. I love the loose leaf teas and tea accessories, including cups, saucers, and travel mugs. They are all elegant and pretty. Prices can be a bit expensive, but there are sales from time to time. All Chapters have a built-in, full service Starbucks. The difference with this Starbucks is that it has probably twice as many tables and chairs than typical Chapters stores have. It does get busy, which my only minor gripe. Even with all those tables and chairs, many folks sit there for hours. As a result, you may need to take your Starbucks purchases and move elsewhere. I like the location of this Starbucks. There are many box stores around Kennedy and highway 401. After you have spent several hours shopping and walking around, take a break at this Chapters. You'll be more refreshed and you can read up on anything as you take a breather. read more

I love to read, and this chapters has to be my all time favourite. Anytime I need a book, and it's out of stock, I can always rely on this chapters to have it in stock. From the warm feeling you get when you walk in to the extensive selection they have available this place is the perfect home for any book worm! This chapters is perfectly located near countless restaurants making this the perfect place to head to after grabbing something to eat. Not only does this chapters have such a variety and friendly staff, they have a Starbucks where you can sit down and enjoy that new book you just bought. Absolutely love this Chapters. I come here all the time to unwind. There's nothing better than settling down with a good book and a delicious drink from the Starbucks in here. It's a great place to have a quick meet up with friends as well, as there is an abundance of seating available throughout the store. The establishment itself is large and spacious & the staff are always extremely helpful. I prefer this location to many others that I've been to. Their discount section always has a large selection of books, notebooks, gadgets etc.(which is great considering that I'm a broke ass grad student that loves to read.) For all you Kate Spade lovers out there, they have a huge selection of frames, thermoses, mugs, stationary, decor items and tech accessories from the brand. So if I wanted to blow some of my rent money on a cute notebook for class (duh, priorities) , I always have plenty of selection to chose from. This is one of my favourite places to go to in Scarborough. It's a pretty big sized Chapters and it just feels so fun and delightful to go inside and look at books. It also has a Starbucks attached so whenever I feel like grabbing a book and Starbucks, I go to Chapters. It's my go-to place for dates and just to get out of the house. I've only ever had one bad experience here- and it wasn't because of Chapters itself. I went into the Religion aisle and I was cornered by a Christian lady for almost an hour. (Me being too polite to decline her gospel preaching. I'm too Canadian.) This Chapters is perfect for just hanging out or picking up a book, as they have a really large selection. I find books here that I can't find at many other places. (Even the Chapters downtown!) read more

Nothing remarkable about this Chapters. It's not as busy as some others I've visited, probably because it's out in Scarberia. LOL. But it has everything the standard Chapers has, a Starbucks, books, housewares, etc. At least the annoying security guard wasn't there following people around with stern looks. read more

I always end up staying a lot longer than anticipated whenever I go to Chapters. This location is obviously not as big as the huge one downtown but very inviting nonetheless . They have a number of chairs throughout the store if you just want to sit and read. The noise level is perfect. There is a Starbucks here but it can be difficult to find a table to sit at during the weekends. Great place to just relax at and browse through a few books. Lots of free parking as it's in the Kennedy Commons plaza. They open late even during weekends, which is perfect! read more

As a Scarberian, this Chapters is the one that I seem to go to the most. I have no complaints about this store. It's nice and tidy, the staff is helpful without being annoying, and they have more or less all the books that I come for. I noticed today that they even had a copy of The Riot Grrrl Collection, which is pretty awesome of them in my book. The store is big enough to kill an hour or two checking out all the different sections. In a nutshell, this Chapters is great to come to because they have almost everything. The only time I'd go out of my way to shop at a different one would be if I was looking for a specific book that they didn't currently have in stock. read more

I went to this chapter many times. I always find it good. All staffs are friendly and helpful. But unfortunately there is one white female staff in toy section is not kid friendly today. I went there today at around 1pm with my 2yrs old daughter. She was very rude to my 2yrs old daughter. She said my daughter is not allow to touch any toy. If my daughter can't touch any toy, how can I make decision to buy it or not. I won't bring my daughter to this chapter anymore. Be careful if any of you go there with kid. She is very rude to kids. read more

Have never really bought anything inside here besides Starbucks. It's a nice quiet location in Kennedy Commons and right off the 401. I have, however, read some books in here and have never been bothered my staff or anyone else. If I wasn't addicted to my Kindle, I'd definitely buy books from here. read more

I love this location way more than the other ones in scarborough. Lots of deals, very helpful/friendly staff, and a huge selection.

I love shopping at Chapters and I've been shopping at this and other locations for almost 20 years. But I will not be returning to this location. I overheard a senior manager (older, chubby) rudely talking to his staff at the cashier section. I cannot support an environment where managers treat staff abusively. That being said, the younger staff are nice and it is a shame that they have to deal with that. read more

This book store has a Starbucks inside and has a large selection of books. It is great they have a Starbucks so when you purchase a new book you can sit down they and treat your self to coffee or whatever, and enjoy a new book. read more
