They also have a beat on some harder to find or newer items like collaborations between Scooby Doo & Transformers or GI Joe & Ninja Turtles. I picked up a latter collaboration which I had not yet seen in the States. Heroes world is a little off the beaten path, it isn't located in one of the busier strip malls but it's close enough. Staff, especially the owner was really friendly and helpful. They can ship your items too if you live in Canada.

The only way to fairly improve it is to provide my honest rating and review of the store. Comic Book Addiction is simply an awesome store. I had moved to Ajax 9 months ago and have since frequently visited this store. The staff and owner (Steve) is extremely nice and knowledgeable. The store offers a good selection of comic books, graphic novels, collectibles, gaming, art, and supplies. They also have a large warehouse (downstairs) of back issues. My pull bin is always updated correctly. I can update my pull list in person or via e-mail and it's always done right. Alex is quick to respond and does a fantastic job of keeping on top of update requests to everyone's pull bins. They even provide curb-side pickup if the customer prefers (call or e-mail info@comicbookaddition.com). Overall, there's only one thing to say about this place. They're one of the best out there! I highly recommend checking them out.

Then when they don't get what they expect they get upset. Here's the deal. Nobody wants back issues unless they are rare and in very good condition. Your comics are basically worthless to collectors. Buy them to enjoy them. They are not an investment. Stop thinking that stores want to buy your stuff.

If they don't have something that you have your eye on, you can connect with them to see if they will order it for you (which they likely will, if they can!) Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. Customer service here is quite friendly. I'd HIGHLY reccomend checking out Legends if you are in/around the Vaughan area to get your geek on :).

It's like Walmart lol you go in for one thing and leave with 10. There's a pretty good selection of board games, both popular and obscure. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll gladly order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. The guys who work there are all very nice and very knowledgeable. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.

We spend thousands of dollars searching out nice comics for our collections. So because of the rudeness of the owner, he will miss out on any money we will be spending this year. The employee who spoke with us was the only saving grace for this place. Suffice it to say, we will not be going back there, even if they offered 50% off. We believe that being nice to your customers who pay the bills is very important. It's clear this owner doesn't. We don't recommend this place if you are looking for friendliness and a smile when purchasing your comics with your hard earned money. Nuff Said.

Some even have great staff. The owner here is probably the nicest comic book/hobby store owner in Toronto, and I have been a customer at pretty much all of them. The off-peak day staff is just as friendly and welcoming, and it honestly amazes me how difficult that is to find with other stores. It's a small store, but it manages to have quite a bit of variety considering the size. Focusing on comics and graphic novels, but a really good selection of toys, and other merchandise considering the size. Usually even for unpopular items, at least a couple are ordered meaning non-regulars and those who want to make an impulse buy still have a chance; but by all means place an order if there's something upcoming that you really want. Frequent sales, fairly regular warehouse sales featuring a great selection of bargain older items, a really fair membership system and more make this a really good store to visit. I look forward to returning there once I am settled back in. It's a store that makes you want to shop there for gifts, and even makes you want to be sure that a certain item is unobtainable there or inexcusably cheaper online before shopping elsewhere. At least when I shopped there, so many of the regulars are friendly, well mannered, and intelligent as well. It was a place I was excited and happy to visit no matter what the day. Also be sure to visit Cybercity at various conventions, especially Anime North. It's perhaps not the place to visit for making unreasonable deal requests on Friday afternoon, but it offers a great selection of warehouse stuff and storefront items for a little less if you're not a store member.

They will be having a Black Friday sale so if you're looking to score a deal, be sure to check it out soon. Now the store could be a bit more organized... but with so many comics, I don't know how else they can improve it. They also have a lot of dust in some of their shelves but the comics are fine.
