They have a children's area which has the material from their old Little Island location. I could imagine taking a nibling in there to go comics shopping and having a good time. Entry requires masking which, well, we're still in the middle of a pandemic so protecting the staff and yourselves is just a good idea. The books aren't cheap but they don't overcharge, so that's good; you need to just disabuse yourself of the brain poison that Amazon has infected everyone with.

Their selection is pretty solid, with lots of titles from smaller publishers and creators overseas already in store, so if you're in a rush for something you thought was obscure, the Beguiling might have you covered! Because they do have a wide selection, and possibly because they are handling a number of orders this season, i did experience a discrepancy between their website vs. in-store inventory. However, the have great online service. When I made an query they were super quick to respond, and they were also very helpful in making alternative suggestions to replace what they didnt have in stock. As for the pick up, they have staff stationed at a partitioned checkout window, so when you arrive you can walk up, give your name and pay for your order safely amd easily. Staff inside also have access to a microphone in case someone's having a hard time hearing. Overall, as they profess, the Beguiling does live up to its claim of premium window shopping. Whether comics and zines are your jam or if you need a zine/comic-related gift for someone else, consider visiting the Beguiling website or strolling up to their shopping window. If you can't visit in person, they also offer free delivery on orders of $80+.

We spend thousands of dollars searching out nice comics for our collections. So because of the rudeness of the owner, he will miss out on any money we will be spending this year. The employee who spoke with us was the only saving grace for this place. Suffice it to say, we will not be going back there, even if they offered 50% off. We believe that being nice to your customers who pay the bills is very important. It's clear this owner doesn't. We don't recommend this place if you are looking for friendliness and a smile when purchasing your comics with your hard earned money. Nuff Said.

It's located in Richmond Hill in the business/warehouse district off a windy road called West Beaver Creek. The address is easy to find, lots of free plaza parking, it's next to a kids dance studio and very visible store sign. Nothing sus like another yelper stated. Inside is very spacious, clean and bright. I love how organised the shelving for new games were laid out and they even more games in back. Off the walk in, I was greeted immediately and four employees were excited to help me. They are game experts and could name off suggestions for games quickly, to pair with similar games I had in mind. Super fun to nerd off in the board game world here! I always cross reference with boardgamegeek.com first when planning to new purchases, but asked them in person to see if opinions lined up. I was impressed one employee was quick to suggest ones I never heard of. Prices are good to fair. I felt no pressure to buy anything there, they even offered if I wanted to test ones that they have opened or to get a feel of the pieces(card game quality for kid durability is real). I left with buying three games I had eyed online, and excited for the suggestions for the next visit. They have a free loyalty program, can't hurt to sign up when you're a board game investor, as this is one place to bookmark. No food or cafe noticed here, unlike other board game places.
