    Chicken quesadilla
    Mike J.

5 stars due to the customer service and the food actually tasting better than a 5/10. Folks in here are very hospitable. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it wasn't bad. 7/10 for the simplicity but made just right. The side salsa had a Smokey taste that I loved. In terms of non franchise airport food, not bad at all.

When I fly out, I do like coming to the Red Mountain Grill. The first time I tried the quesadillas, it was awesome. This last time, it felt microwaved. I will give them another chance. The service is good. When I ask for drinks they come, even when I am not making eye contact with the bartender. I appreciate the attention. Shout out to Angela. I had the brownie dessert but ate it before I could take a photo. It was good, too.

Service was fast, and the people were friendly! The food was pretty good, especially the fries, and the price seemed about right for an airport sit down restaurant. There are tables by the window, so you can enjoy the view. I got the BLT and a draft beer--hit the spot.

Self seat and order by QR code, pay by phone option. Waitress was polite. Thanks Ebony. Tables are set good distance. I did not feel claustrophobic. Eggs were a bit bland. However, the potatoes were seasoned well. We were there before 10 A.M. Unfortunately, they don't serve alcohol before 10. I was hoping for a Bloody Mary.

Sad Cesar salad. Parm powder, not shaved parmigiana. Crazy.

Insane! DO NOT COME HERE. Maybe it's my California standard, but I could not believe how terrible the service is here. Waited an hour for our food; a pre-made salad, quesadilla, and French fries. And no, it was not crowded at all. Definitely more employees than actual patrons in the restaurant. Typical brewery ambiance, sports tv around. Clean place. Order happens through the app, however many customers couldn't put in orders because previous orders on the same table number were not closed. Wish I remembered the name of our initial server. She was working her butt off, stayed about 20 minutes past her shift to close out and make sure orders got processed. Once she left, it all went to hell. We were sitting at the bar the ee server/bartender completely ignored us, walked away as we inquired about our orders. I attempted to order a second drink with her, however she would look and then roll her eyes. She also brushed off a women sitting behind us who asked for a refill of wine. Essentially, if you didn't start your order under her shift, she ignored you. Servers stood around gossiping and eating popsicles. At one point there were three women standing behind the bar socializing and eating popsicles. When this new server/bartender began eating her second popsicle, I had to start taking pictures because no one would believe this. And the food, complete trash. Go to chick-fil-a

Stopped by to grab something consistent before my late flight back to Washington, DC , the service was timely, I ordered a cheeseburger and bacon with a sprite. I then read the reviews and decided to lower my expectations of this place. Kate, the waitress, was on her game, she brought my sprite and the burger shortly followed. Everything was tasty except the burger was well done but that could be easily rectified. To the owner and/or manager be encouraged and push for excellence

Airport themed restaurant with lots of airplane, military, and items on display. Patio give you the feeling your eating under an airplane wing. Great view of the airport, ability to watch planes take off and land. Either order at self-service terminal on bar or with individual behind bar. Food brought to table. I had the Warthog, it was a little messy, but well worth the napkins. My wife had the Chicken Salad sandwich and really liked it. We'll definitely go back, they close at 3:00, and not open on weekends. Open at 6:30 every morning for breakfast. Really a hidden jewel in Birmingham dinning. A unique experience that is well worth the effort to find.

They definitely have a great spot to watch and our kids loved it. The food itself was fairly good. I liked the burger with the brisket the best. My wife and I got two different burgers and split them so we could try several options. The other burger was the one with the mac and cheese. I liked it, but the brisket won the day. The mac and cheese side though was better than the mac and cheese on the burger and it was a great side to try as it had a good flavor - not something all burger places can say. I'd definitely come back, but make sure you look up flight times to try and time it to watch the flights if possible!

Wooden City is located off Morris Avenue in a shared row of older buildings. There's a private parking lot behind the building, and you can have your parking ticket validated at the restaurant. The location and vibe on Morris Avenue are really neat and uniquely Birmingham. It's a great addition to the city's dining scene. Our party of four started with drinks and shared three appetizers: the Bread and Butter, Heirloom Tomatoes, and Steak Tartare. My favorite was the Bread and Butter. It's house-made focaccia served with a sun-dried tomato spread and an oil dipping sauce. The bread was amazing. For my entrée, I ordered the Peel-and-Eat Shrimp from the appetizer menu. It was fabulous--a generous portion of large shrimp that were perfectly seasoned and grilled. For dessert, we shared the Chocolate Mousse and Blueberry/Blackberry Crisp. The crisp was my favorite. It was served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream--an excellent way to finish the meal. While Wooden City doesn't have a large menu, everything we tried was very well done. I definitely recommend giving it a try, but don't be in a hurry. The service was a little slow during our visit.

We snagged some seats at the bar and had some drinks and shortly after that, our table was ready. And they were able to keep everything on one check, which was nice. No need to settle the tab and start a new one at the table. And the old fashioned I had was delicious. For food, we started with the Hungarian Hot Stuffed Peppers. These were pretty good and the heat gradually snuck up on you as you ate them. I don't know if it was because the heat was more intense as you worked your way towards the stem or just a gradual burn. Either way, these were good and worth the heartburn later. The thick focaccia helped with the burn a little. Speaking of heartburn, the pepperoni pizza may have contributed a bit to that too, but again, totally worth it. The cup-and-char pepperoni was charred nicely as were the edges and bottom! I love a nice bottom! These were easy to share between two of us. Service was amazing from the bartender to the waiter to the uber driver (who didn't really count, but nice job, man). We felt welcomed and I can see why the place was crowded on a Tuesday evening.

While it wasn't my favorite, for a brewery it was definitely above average. It was juicy, made to order and fresh. I didn't care for the sauce nor the stringy onions so I would order it plain next time or try something else on the menu. The shoestring fries were well seasoned with something like garlic parmesan. Since the kitchen is completely open and visible to guests, I think extra attention should be given to sanitation and overall presentation. I noticed one of the cooks drinking while preparing food, and another wiped his nose with his arm while working. Although he didn't use his hand, it still left me feeling a little uneasy. When guests can see directly into the kitchen, those small details really matter. Aside from that, we enjoyed our experience, and I do think this is a place worth trying at least once.
