What a treat! Cambria is such a charming coastal town and I was warmly welcomed with the smell of freshly baked cookies & friendly greetings from the owner at Red Moose Cookie. I went for the orange vanilla bean cookie which was so delicious! The owner shared that cookies are baked fresh daily. Highly recommend stopping by this spot when in town!

We stopped by during our last trip to Cambria. I'll admit, I'm a regular at Brown Butter Cookie Company--I even dream about their cookies! My husband and son, however, aren't fans, so I usually just buy them for myself. This time, my family was eager to compare these cookies to Brown Butter's, and they unanimously agreed these were far better. We'll definitely be back to try more flavors. The customer service was outstanding, and you can sample all the daily flavors. Plus, they offer coffee to customers with a purchase. 8/9/24

Incredible!! These cookies are huge and come in 2 packs

This place is dangerous!! Especially with the samples: you think you're just going to get a couple cookies and walk out with almost everything they have in stock. The brownies, something I wasn't planning on purchasing, but did, are the best milk chocolate brownies with huge chocolate chips in them. Get some ice cream when you get home and serve them together. Now, let's talk cookies... your life will never be the same again after these perfectly made soft centered cookies. One type I have to note: the Root Beer Float cookies. I should have bought more because they disappeared way too quickly. My daughter got the m&m cookies. Although we really wish they had chocolate chip cookies without nuts. We are going to make a trip back up to Cambria just to go here and reload on cookies!!

The orange cookies are the best! All quality ingredient's and your tastebuds appreciate it. What's great is that there are samples of each cookie.

We came to Cambria to see Hearst Castle but stayed in the sleepy town a few days. One of the hidden gems is Red Moose Cookie Company! Chocolate Chip is delicious but my favorite was pumpkin whoopie pies! It's a must stop if you're in town

Came back the next day when they were open, mind blown! A MUST visit.

Ask the Community - Red Moose Cookie

Does anyone know how soon they sell out? We went at 3pm and they were sold out! Hoping to go tomorrow morning! Do they make the cookies onsite in the storage unit area?

We go there only when we're up that way, once or twice a year. They sell out by noon, we've found, but so worth the wait!

Uh.. how can i get these in LA? I need more!

Come visit Cambria. Heaven on Earth!!

Are you guys open on President's Day?

Yes!! Three day weekend!! Come early if possible.

Do you make gluten free cookies?

    Unfortunately, no.

Do you offer a gluten free option?

We can't, as we have flour in our bakery. I think Linn's does gluten free cookies.

Just look for the building with the whimsical cartoonish pie statue out front. Darn cute! So many pie flavor choices. Slices, mini pies or whole pies. Sweet or savory. Plus the cafe menu includes sandwiches, wraps, panini's, salads, soup, stews, comfort food entrees, and hot dogs. The young man working the counter was fantastic. Sincerely friendly.welcoming, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. Provided great recommendations. We ordered a hot dog $10. All beef. It was split grilled served with side of potato salad. And a slice of olallieberry pie $7. The dog had a nice quality snap, good flavor. The potato salad for me was just ok. The pie was heavenly. Perfect thickness of crust; it was dense, flaky and tender all around yummy. My tastebuds were doing a happy dance! The cafe has a charming farmhouse interior. The cafe interior tables were fitted with plastic table cloths. Not a fan of those. The back patio was super cute. The area is compact. Gorgeous flowers and plants all lushly thriving and blooming. Whimsical metal sculpture art . Water fountains that gave off a calming trickling water sound. The windmill structure was pretty cool. Dual purpose of up cycle art and patio cover. Almost every table had a huge umbrella providing shade. Next to the back patio are the restrooms housed in its own stand alone building. Could use a refresh. There are a few spots in the car lot in the back. But the lot is tiny and hard to maneuver about for larger vehicles.

In a world where restaurants and coffee shops can be wildly inconsistent, this place just keeps showing up and doing what it does best. My go-to is always the Baja Mocha. At this point, it's less of a coffee order and more of a long-term relationship. It's rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. Every time I tell myself I should try something different, the Baja Mocha gives me that "Don't be ridiculous" look, and I happily order it again. A visit also isn't complete without grabbing a pound of whole beans to take home. That way, I can continue pretending my kitchen is a quaint little coffee shop instead of just... my kitchen. The café itself has a ton of character. It's on the cozy side, which means it can fill up quickly, especially during busy times. If you're looking for acres of seating and total silence, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for exceptional coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place that feels like a true local favorite, you'll understand why people keep coming back. The staff is always entertaining in the best possible way. They're friendly, have personality, and somehow manage to keep things moving even when the place is buzzing. It's the kind of coffee shop where the people behind the counter seem like they're genuinely enjoying themselves, and that energy rubs off on everyone else. If you're passing through Cambria or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. Just don't blame me when the Baja Mocha becomes your default order too. I tried branching out once... the Baja Mocha and I worked through it.

The service was not very efficient with the crowd. The barista asked many questions (decaf or regular, oat milk, whole milk, 2%, almond milk, which coffee bean, etc.), which made the line move very slowly. She also had to stop taking orders halfway to make drinks, making the long line to get even longer. There wasn't enough seating, so we decided to take our food to go. They can't help warm up our pastries and directed us to use the microwave and toaster oven ourselves. For the price of the pastries I paid, I expected better service rather than DIY. When the coffee was ready, they did call names but the place was so crowded, we all had to wait outside of the cafe. So many of customers had to come in and out several times to check on their orders. The coffee was also extremely hot and not drinkable right away. Overall slow service, crowded environment, messy flow. I wouldn't come back.

The owner said he had a special Prosecco and that he had "a guy" who gets it for him special. He let us keep the bottle since it was our anniversary weekend. When we got back home, I googled the label on the bottle and to my surprise, it turned out his "guy" was Trader Joe. That was good for a few laughs. The dining in meals were at the restaurant's special events with a fixed menu and price. We met friends there for those meals. Both meals were nothing to write home or a review about. Our friends felt the same way. I thought eventually, we would dine there when we are in town enjoying our second home. After today, I will reconsider. My wife and I were near the cafe and she wanted to go into a particular shop. There was no parking spot available so I dropped her off and parked next to the cafe. I stayed in the car to wait for her. I noticed a crude handmade sign on an orange cone that read "parking for Harmony Cafe". There was one car ahead of me but I waited with the engine running. After about 5 minutes, a door opens from the side of the restaurant and a woman comes out. I didn't think anything of it. A few seconds later she comes out again and goes behind my car and takes a photo of my license plate. I thought that was hilarious. First of all, it's a public parking space that apparently the Harmony Cafe has commandeered with a makeshift sign. I have never seen another business in town do such a thing. Cambria is such a peaceful and relaxed place, very laid back but just don't park in the Harmony parking spots if you aren't a diner. I wonder what she does with the photos of those license plates.

(Which is saying something, because between Morro Bay, Cayucos, and Cambria there are quite a few candy shops) Their fudge is unparalleled. While the harmony ice cream is not my favorite, I very much appreciate the fact that they have local ice cream and the portions were a good size at a good price. The staff is exceptionally nice, especially the owner who has been working most of the times we have been there. She's one of those people who is so genuine that you can instantly feel it. I also wanted to add an additional comment kind of in response to a one star review that was left from an exchange that happened while I was eating ice cream just outside the shop. A family with some kids were in the shop and they came out and went to leave but one of the little boys ran up to this cute giant teddy bear serving as the shop's "mascot" and punched it right in the face. It was a slower part of the day business-wise and so the owner saw the kids do this and went outside to ask why the kid punched her bear. The comment claims that she yelled at them, but this was simply not true. She did raise her voice, but it was because the family had already made it to the end of the block. She didn't say anything rude, she just asked why he did that and said it wasn't very nice. (This may be my personal opinion, but if your kid likes to punch animals, even if they're fake, I'd be seriously worried about what kind of person this kid will become.) A few minutes later the woman with the child came back and started yelling (yes this was yelling) at the employee for treating them like it. Never once did she apologize. Never once did she have her kid apologize. She just let her kid learn that yelling at employees was the correct response for being called out on something you did. I cannot believe the nerve of some people. After she "karen-ed" at the owner and left, I went inside to reassure the owner that she was in the right and hopefully offer some encouragement (at least as much as a stranger customer could). I could tell she was deeply bothered by the exchange with the Karen, and I don't blame her. It sucks when your words are twisted against you and your business integrity is questioned. Sending all of my positive energy and vibes to this business and the employees there. Wishing you a Karen-free rest of your summer! Tl;dr: this candy shop is the best on the central coast.
