Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!! The cold brew milkshake was delicious! The owner was pretty amazing too. I would recommend stopping here to anyone that's in the area. Thank you for making our trip that much more enjoyable:) read more

We always stop here here for some ice cream whenever we visit Cambria and it never fails to exceed expectations. I had the butter pecan and the wife had cherry. The ice cream is always yummy and the staff is always pleasant. I highly recommend and will come here again. read more

great little ice cream place. The owner is engaging and helpful. Cute little boutique attached, and a nice patio outside to watch the world go by. read more

Best ice cream! Made quick friends with the lovely staff...can't wait to go back when we are back in Cambria!

While walking around visiting some of the little shops in Cambria, I was looking for a place with a bit of chocolate. Then I saw the sign for Caren's Corner. The hubby and I each got a piece of fudge to satisfy the chocolate craving. He got plain chocolate and I got rocky road. Both were delicious. The guy behind the counter was very nice and friendly. read more

Pulled up with my 8 year old after dinner to get an ice cream. It was 8:30pm Sunday and the shop was closed (sign and the chain link across the patio entrance). My girl was starting to tear up. We can see that the staff are inside cleaning up and they see us in the car and the woman comes out and waves at us and asks if we're here for ice cream and she waved us in! Saved the day. My daughter said it was the best mint chip ever and it was a great reminder that a little gesture/customer service can matter so much! read more

I ate the butter pecan in a waffle cone and it's very good, at a temperature to eat and fairly priced.

YES!! It actually is homemade ice cream that has that creamy dreamy flavor that you remember if you ever cranked an ice cream maker. More like gelato than machine made ice cream, this desert is not too sweet and has that creamy richness that makes ice cream a treat. I opted for the salted caramel, my Mom got coffee and my honey got the vanilla chocolate chip. We just wanted single scoops, and a good thing because they were huge compared to the usual portions. There was a nice mound of ice cream in what I think of as a medium sized bowl. And very yummy and satifying. There are outdoor stools, and a couple of benches on either end of the patio, which faces Main St. in Cambria. It was filled to overflowing, so we ate in the car, but still enjoyed watching the steady parade of customers filing in and out. Definately worth a return visit. read more

Loved their ice cream and hospitality!! Amazing staff & such a cute vibe will definitely visit again

Chocolate chip and rocky road ice cream was delicious and creamy! Service was great! Will come back and recommend!

This place had the best vanilla ice cream I've ever had!! Definitely recommend. Their chocolate fudge was also very delicious.

Please don't waste your money on this place if looking for ice cream. We got several scoops and they were so frozen over with ice. I even made a comment to the woman that served us... She just smiled and said "oh"... read more

Cute little ice cream shop we stopped by on the way back from Hearst Castle. There were about 16 different flavors of ice cream as well as some other desserts (fudge, peanut butter cups, truffles, etc.) all homemade. The ice cream was fine but wasn't that great in terms of quality. It didn't taste very creamy and tasted more icy and almost watered down rather than flavorful. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but may come back if it's convenient/on the way. read more

The Tao of Mayberry...uh, I mean Cambria http://www.televisiontunes.com/Andy_Griffith_Show_(The).html A visit to Caren's Corner is like a step back in time (see my photo) when Sheriff Andy Taylor would take schoolteacher Helen Crump to the Bluebird Cafe for dinner and then come here for an ice cream cone. As Andy was figuring out if he was going to get past second base with Helen that evening, none other than Deputy Barney Fife would come barging in to tell him two robbers have held up the First Bank of Mayberry. Poor Helen would be stuck holding two cones, Andy's which was Rocky Road and hers which was Strawberry. They have other flavors since they carry Dreyer's, and a single cone will cost you $2.50 (see my photo). That's enough licking for a browse of all the Central Coast tschotskes and stuffed animals in the adjacent area and a good listen to some classic Dionne Warwick at the sound station. There are certainly worse ways to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon on Main Street in Cambria. But oh dear, there's Otis Campbell drunk as a skunk in front. Andy and Barney'll have to lock him up for the night before his wife finds out. read more

We got some ice cream today for a treat after the beach. This place didn't disappoint. The ice cream had really great flavor. My son and I got diary free sorbet, watermelon for bubs and mango for me. They were both perfect. My daughter had rainbow sherbet and my husband and mom had the salted Carmel. Everyone loved what they go, we asked the workers if they make it here and they responded their mother makes all of the ice cream. It tasted special like homemade. Loved this place. read more

My first time here while I was working, I walked across the street and my mind was on fudge. I forgot what there called but one was turtle and the other was cookies n creme? Sorry, I should of just taken a picture of the description. I was all excited because the next thing I wanted to order was a soda.. but ice machine was broke.. sad. Well customer service was good and the fudge taste great. read more

Had Peanut butter Parks and Sea salt Caramel. Also a cappuccino. Great tasting ice cream and service was great.

5 stars for the ice cream. Legit! Orange cream milkshake was on point! Kids loved their scoops. Best ice cream in Cambria for sure

Happened upon this place when I was looking for shaved ice for my granddaughter after a trip to Morro Bay dog beach. Found another place on Yelp and when we arrived in Cambria the place was closed. So another Yelp search turned up Caren's Corner for Ice Cream. Cute little shop and it had candy and fudge as well. There was a young kid/man behind the counter who didn't look like he was real happy to be there but was helpful enough. The ice cream was delicious and did taste homemade. Won't make a special trip to go back but if I'm in the area and have a hankering for ice cream I'd go back. read more

Went to get ice cream and it didn't disappoint! We got the mint chocolate chip and cookie dough.

OMG, the ice cream here is the bomb! So soft and creamy and not overly sweet. True homemade ice cream! Reminds me of the ice cream I had as a kid. Will definitely be back again! read more

The best peppermint chocolate chip ice cream ever!!!! Nice ice cream shop. All home made ice cream .

We stopped to get homemade ice cream! It was delicious...creamy, not overly sweet. Perfect for us! We were pleasantly surprised, hit the spot after walking 4 miles. Definitely worth a stop. read more

I initially sampled coffee (not my favorite and not creamy enough or sweet enough for me). The peanut butter banana was AWESOME and my husband liked his cookie monster (mint and choc chip cookies) milk shake. Nothing impressive in the glass case for Goodies but I was there for homemade ice cream which they confirmed is made in house throughout the week. Would go back for peanut butter banana. read more

We wanted ice cream so we went in. There wasn't much of a selection. I was outside with the dog and my husband ordered and then we switched places. I said I wanted a cup like my husband and mint chocolate chip. I went back outside with the dog. He paid and got our order. I ended up with a scoop of his and mine. Good thing though since the mint tasted like mouth wash. I couldn't even eat it. Neither could my husband. Number one they can't get the order right. Number two their ice cream is terrible. read more

Came in here for ice cream for the kids. Cute little shop. I think Dreyers is only ok for ice cream (but the kids don't care!). They also carry candy and fudge, and provide sandwiches. I thought that rather strange but that's cool. Parents can get their lunch and provide kids with ice cream at the same time. Efficient! read more

We have been visiting this place for years whenever we are in town on vacation. We have invited friends and family to join us here for ice cream. We love the rainbow sherbert and I love chocolate. They even have a gift shop inside the place where we would look around and buy ourselves something. We will be back again when we are in town. read more

The rudest kids I've ever dealt with. Mojo is 10 times better. Do t go there. They o my had 5 flavors at $5 each for a single scoop.

Stopped here after visiting the elephant seals, for some ice cream. Very good! Delicious and flavorful ice cream. Would definitely recommend. read more

I travel through Cambria quite often. There are tons of little shops and a few restaurants. Most of them are good...Caren's Corner is not one of them. Need a simple reason to avoid this place? THEY CHARGE $3.50 FOR A SNAPPLE. I think I've finally discovered where the term, "highway robbery" originated. I've tried two of their sandwiches. Both times, they were rather tasteless and WAY overpriced. (Nearly $10 for a plain old tuna sandwich; basically exactly as you'd make it at home. The tuna tasted likely was obviously from a can.) This place seems to exist solely to make fast money from tourists; who'll never return once they eat here. The ice cream is your standard Dreyer's variety, so save the money and get your ice cream at the Shell station on the corner. Also, the coffee shop right next door has MUCH better food for a MUCH better price! read more

Kind of a strange place but perfect for a treat after checking out Nit Witt Ridge. I think I had the birthday cake ice cream and was not dissapointed. They also have Fizzi's here! Which is cool. Just don't ask for a brownie sunday or they'll charge ya more! haha... read more

We stopped here for some afternoon treats while going through town. We had their turtle fudge and ice cream - black cherry and mint chocolate. We loved them both!! The fudge was fresh and sweet and smooth. It melted in our mouths. It was excellent. The ice cream is from Dreyers and is as good as always. A small gift shop with treats. What's not to like about it?! read more

I stopped there with a friend from Japan and had the best Panini ever--It was the Chicken Apple Brie. I tried to duplicate it at home, and can't! Which means I have to go back. We were really starved, and this was a great 'fast food' alternative. It is perfect if you want to pick up a sandwich or panini and have a picnic on the beach. I live many miles away, and still think of that delicious Panini. There is a nice gift shop too. BTW-We were told they were under NEW OWNERSHIP. I notice the review have old dates! read more

I'd give them no stars but that's not an option. we got shakes and they are not shakes they are flavored milk. which would be worth two stars but they only have one flavor, disappointment. don't go or suffer the consequences. read more

I am a Cambria local and have tried this place twice under its current ownership. It claims to have the best sandwiches in Cambria, but they are easily the worst. Two thin slices of pastrami on stale bread do not make an acceptable sandwich. And at $10.50 with a handful of corn chips, it's a total ripoff. There are at least four places in Cambria to get a very good overstuffed pastrami sandwich. Caren's Corner isn't one of them. It's hard to believe that this place is owned by the same people who own Cambria's Black Cat Bistro which has excellent food. read more

Old fashioned ice cream store as good as it gets. I've heard even Santa eats here in the winter months.
