[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ice cream served out of an old dairy truck.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The salted caramel was probably the best version of this flavor I have had but the cookies and cream wasn't very good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Generous sized scoop with plenty of tables to sit at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Love this adorable ice cream truck! And you can get it by the pint at the Tiny Kitchen next door!
Well the location is convenient if you happen to be up in that area, but other than that it will not be a quick hop, skip, and jump to try this place out in Harmony. Harmony has more cows than people by the way. However, you should try it out if you are in the area. The ice cream truck is a good photo opp too. The guy that was running the truck was ducked down inside the truck though, so it looked like no one was there. The truck was there across from the post office. The guy in the truck was nice, took the order, and processed it quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is not a sit down restaurant but there are some tables you can sit at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I happened to be passing through in late December, and it was cold and rainy but I never pass up an opportunity for ice cream. I love all ice cream, but a few more than others. This was in my top 2 ice creams all time. The ice cream was Rich, Creamy, Smooth, and Delicious and no side effects afterwards, like I get with other ice creams. There were options like cone, cup, prepacked pint containers for $9, etc. There were about 8 flavors or so, I went with cookies and cream and was very happy I did. Fantastic flavor and choice. There are a few things to see in Harmony, but mostly photo opportunity for the post office, the cow statues, and some of the shops, etc. You can see my photos to give you that visual of what you can expect.

I really loved the chickpea stew and husbands enjoyed the Brie sandwich. Portions are just right. Had room for ice cream so we got coffee, butter pecan, and mint chip. All delicious but my favorite was the coffee flavored one. After lunch we watching some artisans blow glass. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice stop to stretch your legs and get some decent food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Maybe the best ice cream I have ever had in my life, and no, this isn't hyperbole. I've had all sorts of ice creams with wild and exotic flavors, and while all of those are good, none of them have the same level of creaminess and texture that Harmony Valley's ice cream has. This ice cream is THICK, or THICC as I think the kids are saying. You should stop by Harmony for all the shops they have to offer, but if you have to pick just one, it should be for ice cream. (But seriously, check out the rest of town, its cute and has some delightful shops.)
One of the best ice cream brands in San Luis. We look for this brand in LA because some of the cc Ralph's carry them.
We wandered into the tiny little town of Harmony and it is a wonderful hidden gem just off the highway. We wandered the little shops and then grabbed an ice cream from the creamery truck. The service was great, but who wouldn't be happy working in an ice cream truck. The truck has a retro feel, and they offer lots of picnic tables with umbrellas to sit, savor the creamy ice cream and take in the history of this town. We had the buttered pecan, and oh my gosh, it is creamy, rich and filled with toasted pecans. The perfect bite on a beautiful day.
In the sleepy town of Harmony, 18 people reside, and one of the best ice creams! The truck and tables are in the middle of the street. Small town customer service! The ice cream tasted like a cross of ice cream and gelato. Super Creamy, extremely soft, and massive depths of flavor. I ordered a double scoop of Butter Pecan and my wife could smell it a couple feet away, outside. Very good and will be back!

They have two trucks right next to reach other - one with food and one with ice cream. We ordered the classic grilled cheese, pastrami and Swiss melt, and the poutine raclette. The food was very delicious, everyone was friendly and the food came out relatively quick which was great! After shopping at the few little antique style shops, we got ice cream. Harmony ice cream is one of the best ice creams I have ever had (and I LOVE ice cream)! Keep in mind it is pricey but completely worth it. If you don't want a cup/cone, they also have a fridge full of different flavored pints you can buy (again - these are pricey so just be prepared for that). A wonderful spot to take friends/family that come into town to visit. Enjoy!

We had been hankering for some ice creamy goodness for a while and drove up to Cambria on a bright and sunny Saturday afternoon to enjoy the scenery on Highway 1 and stop by Harmony on the way to Cambria. The vintage Harmony Valley Creamery truck has delicious variety of ice cream that they serve in the blocked off outdoor area near the pottery shop in the little town. We chose cookies and cream from the menu and got a creamy dollop of flavor in a cup for $5. You can then stroll around the tiny town, enjoying its vintage vibe while you delight in the icy concoction, or linger at the picnic tables set up near the truck. When you finish your treat, take a look at the local glass and pottery available in this crafty village! read more

A food truck in Harmony, once a home of a dairy collective, shows its roots with the most delicious ice cream. It could have rested on the fact that it is the only game in town for dessert, but it came through with absolutely delicious ice cream. Not a ton of flavors, but enough for one to find a favorite. Picnic tables and umbrellas to sit and enjoy your ice cream after ordering. read more

Just stopped by the town of Harmony with my family on our road trip. My in-laws told us about this quaint town with "the best ice cream" and it did not disappoint. We all talked about how it is probably the creamiest ice cream we've had, and all the flavors we ordered were delicious. I had the butter pecan and WOW, I wish it were close to home so I could have it all the time. The pecans were finely chopped so I got little pieces of pecan goodness in every creamy bite. My husband had coffee bean and you could see the specks of bean throughout. Our kids had chocolate, strawberry and mint chip. My in-laws had salted caramel and it was great! This is definitely a worthy stop for anyone driving on the road past Harmony, population 18. read more

Yes! Yes! Yes! This is definitely a stop you need to make along Hwy 1 between Cambria and Cayucos. It's a tiny little town, Harmony, with a population of 18. The ice cream is sold out of the cutest vintage dairy (milk) truck. The ice cream is soooo good! It's the best ice cream I've ever had, and I'm an old lady. Lol. I had two scoops - one vanilla bean and one strawberry. They were both amazing! Smooth and creamy, great flavor. The hubby had two scoops of coffee bean. He enjoyed his choice immensely. The girl who was working on Saturday afternoon was friendly and attentive. She did a great job taking care of everyone waiting for a sweet treat. You can get your ice cream in a cup, regular cone or sugar cone. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. Oh! On Saturdays they currently close at 430PM. read more

Very good ice cream pints that unfortunately are difficult to find.. Cookies 'N Cream was my favorite and they also did a very good job with their mint chip. They're priced in the super premium range ( about 6 bucks a pint at the local grocery store) but you are buying local product. If you're looking for ice cream scoops you can always find their ice cream truck parked in the mini town of Harmony California on Weekends. They're also scooping up ice cream at the San Luis Obispo Thursday night farmer's market. - Pints found at Cookie Crock Market in Morro Bay but not at the Cookie Crock in Cambria. read more

We were not knowing what to expect in this quaint little town but once we got there I knew my 1st stop was the creamery for a scoop of strawberry ice cream. It was delicious... very creamy and big chunks of strawberries. The gal working was sweet as the ice cream. I can't wait to go back. We hid a gnome in the garden under the gazebo named Kristi. I was so happy that they were open this time! I had visited about 5 or 6 months ago, and I must have been there too early in the morning. We had just gotten through with a Sip & Paint up at the Winery and we were down perusing the glassblower and pottery shops. We had a hankering for food, and when I saw they had raclette cheese options, my heart skipped a beat. We opted for the poutine and the Turkey and Jack Grilled Cheese Melt. While the poutine wasn't traditional, the fingerling potatoes were soft and buttery. The grilled sausage was pretty tasty, but it was kind of difficult to cut with a fork & knife. The cheese and gravy and bacon and everything overall worked for a really great dish. The Turkey & Jack Grilled Cheese was good too. Simple, good flavors, kid friendly. We finished up the meal with a pint of the Cookies and Cream ice cream. Oh heavenly indulgence of sweet cream frozeness. This stuff it goooooood! I'll definitely stop by again if I'm passing through the area. read more
