I haven't eaten at a Red Lobster in years! We tried this place while on vacation in Texarkana and I am so glad that we did. The menu has so many of the old time favorites, but they also have a new updated menu full of new daily meal deals, drinks/ happy-hour deals, and a variety of dessert options. The service we received was exceptional!!! The hostess and server were phenomenal. Everything was prepped perfectly, seasoned to perfection, and was wonderful. The waiter took forever! Wasn't attentive at all! Meal was almost over by the time we got bread. The crab was ice cold! Likely because the food sat back there for a long time because it took a long time to get our food. We had to ask two other waiters or crab crackers. When they eventually came, it came by someone other than our waiter. We got them when we were almost completely done eating just like the bread. And the waiter had the nerve to tell us that we should've used the plates they came on for our crab shells. That might've been an option had we had them before the end of the meal. Then he said he was sorry he couldn't get to us because he was so busy. There was a lot of staff in this restaurant! But the restaurant wasn't busy at all. As a matter of fact, it was empty. We went there on September 28, 2024 around 2 in the afternoon. It wasn't busy. But it was much less to be desired for. We ate there once before in 2023 and it was great. And the one in Willis Conroe I went to in 2022. The food was great and wait staff was pleasant. After this past Saturday we won't be coming back. The mushrooms were not as good as before. Our waitress barely spoke English. I was the first person to place an order and the last person to receive my food. We had multiple people come in after we had been seated and placed an order that got their food before we did. This was a large group that had called ahead to reserve a private room. The room wasn't ready and we had to insist strongly that we needed another table when they wanted to seat part of our group in another room away from us. I have never had this issue before at this location so I suspect that our server had not been properly trained and needed to be supervised. They had 2 different servers for the one room so the people in the other half of the room got much better service than we did. I thought things would be different from six months ago, but clearly I was mistaken. I ordered To-Go again from this location and selected curbside. I was dissapointed the first time from when I had to go inside to collect my order. I went to the take out stand and told them I was there for pickup, a nice looking waiter said he would check on it and left me stranded their for a good 5 minutes before another waitress, who just clocked in, asked me if I needed any help, before he conviently cam back with my order. I should've thought harder about that though because I picked up my order 15 minutes after its estimated time, and yet I still had to wait. It was valentine day, the food was good but the restaurant was freezing cold. At a point , you just want to hurry up and eat so you can get warm!! $100 meal and you want to leave. Afterwards, I asked a waitress and she said the units have been a problem for awhile. In the summer, it is steamy hot. Why would a nice looking restaurant not make the investment in units that provide the optimum temperature for their customers to enjoy their expensive meals? We want to like this place, we really do. But... We were there last Sunday afternoon. There weren't many diners, but that didn't keep our dinner from showing up lukewarm. The manager was nice about it and quick to heat it up, but, seriously, when you spend more than 60 bucks for two, you expect it to be right, certainly un-eventful. Dining is more than the food, it's the experience. I don't know how to fix this place, and we have given it chance after chance to get it right. Terribor customer service! We called for a reservation for a holiday lunch for our business & were told they don't take reservations, but can have that room. When we got there, we were told another party reserved the room, so we couldn't have it. I asked to speak to the manager & he was extremely rude, got in my face & said we can't just walk in & get the room. I told him we called & were told they don't take reservations. He implied that we are stupid & did not speak in the appropriate code to get a reservation. I told him it's not our responsibility to know their system for making a reservation. We asked for it & expected them to know their own procedures for making a reservation for customers. Them he stamped his feet & said, Goodby! Very rude!!!! Will never go back. I can't review the food due to the fact after 1 1/2 hour we still didn't have any. Kitchen supposedly sold our order to someone else and they were re-cooking it but it never came. Restaurant only had about 10 tables full. Manager and General Manager were both on duty and neither were concerned enough to come explain to us what happened. They sent someone from the kitchen to tell us about the order. If you want to patronize a restaurant that appreciates their customers then you need to stay away from this restaurant. Service is definitely inconsistent and management doesn't care. I did call Tina the manager on duty after we got up and walked out as she did not have time for us while in the restaurant. Horrible!!!!! We are unable to comment on the food since the receptionist jumped down our throat and wanted to try to fight. We were told that they were way too busy to seat anyone. I walked over and counted a total of only 4 tables seated and a single at the bar. I asked if they had staff issues and were short handed. I was yelled at saying this was definitely not the issue. They were way too busy. Again.... crickets. Lol. 4 tables. I asked to speak to the manager about the abusive hostess. He was too busy to be bothered to come talk to clients. He sent another hostess to do his little work that he was too busy to care. Now, I see why there were only 4 tables occupied and they weren't able to accommodate any more business. read more

Today was a big day for our family! We made reservations early for 10. After 25 min. We received bread. Another 30 min we received more apps. Finally after an hour and 45 minutes, the last dish was served. 3 dishes were served after an hour of being there. Sadly the first meals were served an hour 30 minutes earlier than the last 4. After an hour and forty five minutes, we received the last entree and decided to take it to go. This was our our daughter's college graduation dinner and unfortunately it was a terrible decision on my part to trust Red Lobster to come through. Our server was really upset and did her best, however the kitchen was horrible. As a certified chef, I understand the ebbs and flows of a kitchen, therefore my family made sure to respect the art of culinary and service, but 2 hours on a 10 top that made previous reservations is ridiculous. The sad part is, the manager never came out to see us and didn't offer to grat a single thing. I paid $346 for our meal and 40% of our party got to go boxes after waiting an hour and 45 minutes for 4 of the 10 meals. Completely ruined the end of our celebration. It wasn't the servers fault. She tried and we made sure to take care of her. However management failed the staff. I've never felt so ripped off in my life! read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! We were a party of 6! Arrived about 8:30 and were told there was a 40 min wait. Since we had to wait on some of our party we stayed. We were seated in about 20 minutes. We ordered our food in about 10 minutes! Even with only about 3-4 tables, It took about 30 minutes to get our food. The fish and chips, the fish was apparently Pre fried and then microwaved. Coating was soggy and fish was tough. Crab legs were very cold AND we never got crackers to crack the claw portion. They also were out of coke slaw. The kitchen staff was more interested in closing up than finishing the last orders of the night. Our waiter had to go to the kitchen and get the LAST of the butter for our crab legs. On our way home to Fort Worth from Hot Springs, we stopped in for lunch and a break from driving. We've eaten at this Red Lobster before but I have neglected to review it. This time was different. Visits before we're OK, but this visit was great. We had an outstanding server Diego who took excellent care of us. Yes he was young but made some excellent menu suggestions. Even before he left he told us about some coupons that would coming out in a few days. My wife and I were having a hard time making up our mind, Diego never rushed us. I had the lunch fried catfish plate and it was very good. The cornmeal batter on the fish was light and the fish was cooked perfectly. The highlight of our meal was the "Wood Fired Hamburger." My wife was very reluctant to order a burger in a fish restaurant but she said it was one of the best burgers she had ever had. It was cooked on their wood-fired grill and had an intense smokey flavor. It was also "dressed out" perfectly like a classic burger should be. I took a bite and was jealous that I had never produced a burger like that on our backyard grill. The meat was incredible. The manager of the restaurant came by and visited with us for a while and wanted to know what we thought art the new lunch menu. We told her the burger is a solid home run. She did mention since it's been put on the menu it's been a great seller. Customers are amazed after they've tried it. We loved the new layout of the restaurant with the "open" kitchen area. This Red Lobster has a really me updated look and decor. Anytime we're heading down Interstate 30 coming through Texarkana, if it's time to eat or take a break from driving, we'll be stopping at Red Lobster. Yum! read more

Horrible service!!!!!! I asked for no onions on my salad. Onions was put on my salad and instead of making me a new salad, they took the onions off, leaving a piece of onion on my salad. My waitress was named Sidnee. I asked to speak to the manager. He apologized, but didn't accommodate me in any way. I explained that I could have had a food allergy. Nothing was done about it. Sidnee was not a good waitress she never filled our drinks, nor asked if we wanted more bread. She became distant after the complaint. Normally, I am a big tipper. Okay after a hiatus from this Red Lobster we came in on our way for Christmas to DFW area. Background is we live in TN near the KY border so Texarkana is a great place to stop and overnight. We used to frequent this Red Lobster but stopped after two bad experiences. We decided to try it one more time after 1.5 years; things have changed . Rolls hot delicious, Caesar Salad nice and creamy/crunchy, crab perfectly cooked and margaritas strong. Service was good too; Alexus was super at service. read more

We haven't been to red lobster in probably 10 years and now I know why. The service was nice but the food was so greasy/oily I could feel my face starting to break out. The shrimp scampi was sitting in oily soup, I should have taken a picture but now I shudder to remember it. Went mid afternoon, no rush, for unlimited shrimp. As another reviewer posted, they start you out with two selections, but then they serve TWO orders of each that you've selected, or 4 servings! I ordered the shrimp scampi & shrimp & linguini alfredo to start out (not knowing about the double servings). Now don't get me wrong, I love the added quantity, but not all at once... As was stated, the food starts chilling before you can possibly eat it all. Way too much linguini for the amount of shrimp, though it was delicious, I couldn't finish all the noodles. Also tried the new TN Hot shrimp. They weren't really "hot", but there was a little tingle at the end and you could taste the honey. They were OK... I'd order them again. At that point I was too full to try the Mediterranean skewer of shrimp... all this for $18.00. Well worth it! My server was Ruth and she was great! The last flight out of Texarkana leaves at 5:05 pm, I kid you not, and I missed it and was stuck in Texarkana for another night without a car. The only eatery within walking distance of the Marriott Courtyard was this Red Lobster. The food was rubbery, bland, and just plain not good. But it was an experience. Our waitress, who cannot pronounce "salmon" (a bad sign at a seafood restaurant, I think -- she calls it SAL-man), tells us this is a dry county. Right behind her is a full bar -- I am confused. Doesn't "dry" mean no liquor? No, she says, here a dry county means you need a drinking card, then you can go at it. She gives us a form to fill out, takes it back, does not check ID, then delivers a big margarita. Apparently as long as you are still sober enough to make up a fake name, you get to drink in this "dry" county. I am staying away from the SALman, and I think, all other fish she cannot pronounce. I am wondering if the lobster is safe, it is the place's name, after all. I land on some crab plate, which is subpar. I think this, my first Red Lobster experience, is likely to be my last. A family of 6 walked out with any kind of service or attention. The hostess tried to ignore us when asked why we they hadn't come to at least take our drink order. She could have cared less. Wish I knew her name, her name tag was tucked inside her pocket. When I got up and said this service is unacceptable, she then tried to make it better. Hope she got fired! Doubt it!!! We will never be back. We then came across the road to Outback. Many more people there and I see why. I will say the manager tried to make it better but the damage had already been done.
