Pretty good... We met some friends that were coming in from out of town in this place was closer to where they were coming from so we decided to come here. I was actually shocked to find out that we even had a Red Lobster... All in all not bad. I had the new boil with shrimp and sausage. I got the old bay spicy flavor and was pretty good. My wife was upset that they could not find a little fork for her crab legs, so they were more work than they should have been. The biggest problem is that the area that I was seated in was freezing! We asked our waitress Lex to adjust the temp but the manager never adjusted. So u never ordered that beer because I was so cold! lol Again, not bad but could have been better. read more

We visited last night expecting a great meal, especially after seeing the seafood boil on the menu. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. It took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and the atmosphere felt outdated--dust on the windows, dim lighting, and a vibe straight out of the 70s. When the food finally came, the seafood boil was drenched in butter with little to no seasoning. My wife's meal was dry and looked like it had been sitting for a while. By the end of the night, I felt like I wasted $70 on a subpar meal. I should've trusted my instincts and gone somewhere else--Red Lobster has definitely gone downhill. read more

I was looking forward to having snow crabs and unfortunately it was not to be. It started out great when the great server we had dropped off our food. I had the snow crab with a baked potato. I reached for the crab cracker to break open/crack the crab legs and then when I reached for the seafood pick/fork it wasn't there! I flagged down another server and asked for the seafood fork and he said they didn't have those but that they have something better. He came back with a hard plastic lobster sheller. This did Not work well at all! It took forever to get the meat out and it was cumbersome. Bring your own seafood fork if you decide to get the crab legs. The place is really nice and open. It's great for large parties too. It's too bad after all the revamp they went through that I won't be going back. Having the proper tools is imperative. Since when do crab claws start missing legs? Most if not all crab claws come with 5 legs. When my plate was placed in front of me, my claws was missing 2 legs. The server had the nerve to ask is there anything else she can get me once I brought to her attention that 2 legs were missing, I said the rest of my crab legs. As a seafood lover, I know when crab legs are missing. This is unacceptable Red Lobster. What made this experience so bad, I was from out of town and haven't visited RL since they opened back up. I went to lunch with my coworker. There was no wait, had prime seating, and there were lunch specials. Our server was fantastic. He went out of his way to ensure we had a good experience. We both had shrimp scampi and it was delicious. I can say I missed those cheese biscuits and can't wait to go back for more. read more

We waited 40 minutes to be seated, despite more than half the tables in the restaurant sitting empty. It was immediately clear they were severely understaffed. While we waited at the bar, the bartender was cold and unwelcoming -- not a great first impression. Once seated, things didn't improve much. We asked for waters, and after a 10-minute delay, our server let us know they were out of clean glasses due to not having a functioning dishwasher. We were offered water in to-go cups instead. That alone is pretty concerning for a full-service restaurant. We waited another 30 minutes for two dishes. One of them was a seafood boil. When they brought us the crab cracker, we joked about whether they'd be out of those too -- and the server leader confirmed she had to hand-wash them herself. Between the lack of dishwashing capabilities and the overall unclean vibe of the space, I left feeling genuinely uneasy about food safety. The one bright spot was our server -- she was friendly and did her best given the circumstances. But overall, the experience felt chaotic, unsanitary, and poorly managed. I've been coming to this Red Lobster location at least once a week for the past month. I usually order the seafood boil, an appetizer, and sometimes dessert. My bill consistently comes out to around $100 for just myself -- and that's because I normally leave a very heavy tip. Unfortunately, after tonight, this will be my last visit. The service and attitude from both the server and manager were unacceptable. When I sat at the bar, the counter was sticky like it hadn't been wiped down since lunch. As I'm placing my order, the bartender is joined by another server or manager, and that person immediately starts loudly complaining about how much they "hate people who don't tip." I had just sat down. I hadn't even received my drink yet, and now I'm hearing this rant -- all while I'm about to eat food that these same people are preparing and serving. To make it worse, the manager/server looked directly at me while making these comments. I understand the stereotype that Black customers don't tip, but I always tip well. In fact, I usually over-tip. But tonight, after being treated with such disrespect and attitude, that wasn't happening. Between the unclean bar, the rude behavior, and the unprofessional comments, this was the final straw. We walked in at opening and were greeted right away and taken to our table, but passing the bar area there was a mean stench that was not not so nice! Luckily we didn't get sat by the bar! Our waiter came up right away and luckily we were ready and ordered everything all at once! Few minutes later we got our drinks and them delicious biscuits, a few minutes after that we got our appetizer. The Crab Queso Dip Cheesy crab dip with jalapeños and pico de gallo, served with crispy warm tortilla chips! With some black pepper it was hot, cheesy and delish! A little while after we received our food and I got the Admiral's Feast which consisted of Walt's Favorite Shrimp, wild-caught flounder, clam strips and bay scallops, all crisped to a golden-brown. I also got the crispy Brussel sprouts as a side and everything was perfectly cooked I had ZERO complaints! My wife did the Create Your Own Ultimate Feast! The lobster tail was a nice size and cooked very well, the Snow crabs were so so... stringy and over cooked IMO. The shrimp scampi was delisios as alawys! We were so full we had to take the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo home, but we heated it up and it was great! All in all I think the place needs a makeover, and the bar area needs to be scrubbed down! My wife already left a review about this issue, but I want to emphasize it again this place has NO CAMERAS Please be careful when dining in. I was extremely disappointed to find out I had been robbed, and without any security footage, there was nothing the staff could do. We ate at Red Lobster for a work day get together amongst friends. Although this Red Lobster is conveniently located right off of the highway, it could use some updating. The interior is a bit worn and aged. The service was good and the food was good, I love their shrimp varieties so I usually order a shrimp combination. My movie partner for the evening wanted Red Lobster so there I was, against my better judgement. I didn't say anything as I guess he loves the place. I have to say. They have redeemed themselves. Every visit I have ever had to this location was, well, pretty awful. I haven't been back in years. This visit was actually pretty good. Our server was new. You could just tell. He just had that new vibe to him. He was attentive, forgetful, trying really hard, and super friendly. Give him 6 months and he will be a pro. The food was excellent. Tasty even. I give that a separate 5*... Everyone was friendly and pitched in bringing drinks, napkins, food, etc. just a great experience overall. I may just have to come again to make sure I wasn't imagining it. Visited my nearest Red Lobster as I was hankering an ultimate platter with the works such as the Snow Crab legs, Succulent Maine Lobster, Garlic Shrimp Scampi and Shrimp Luginnie all which was very fulfilling cooked well and just the Red Lobster I grew up to know and hey it's Red Lobster and 5 star review is for what you expect to get at a Red Lobster paired with the exceptional service from the staff hosting a birthday dinner and complimentary Brownie Overboard the staff was very accommodating plus the restaurant was not very busy on a Sunday evening so we had it to ourselves just about. The Bahama Mama was good had a bit of a double shot of rum was a bit strong but good enough for me! The restaurant is what you expect at a Red Lobster decor with all the seaside theme and flag frames remodeled into what today Red Lobster is however can tell this location has been there for some time. Overall great friendly staff, good atmosphere, what you expect at a typical Red Lobster and good food brings me back to my Red Lobster in my home town. read more

I wanted to give the place a bad review because of the service. It wasn't the waiters fault, we just waited forever because of a large party. Maybe they were understaffed that day. I do think it's a tad overpriced, but not extremely. Me and the misses had the endless shrimp, and it was awesome! The artichokes, fire calamari, the biscuits. Wow. Can I just say this restaurant superceded my expectations and I never stepped foot inside. The food was so amazingly seasoned, fresh and satisfying. This wood grilled salmon, lobster and shrimp hit the spot along side their famous mashed potatoes and broccoli and came with not one but TWO cheddar bay biscuits. Everything was greatly packaged and kept safe, I got to scan my receipt for points even though it was placed through Uber Eats, and gosh I just loved it. We just had a great lunch at this location which has bern here since the 1970's. Updated decor, very clean, and quiet atmosphere. U ordered dragon shrimp and a side salad (about $13 total) and the hubs had Choose 3 shrimp mix & match with baked potato and side salad (about $22). Plus all the cheddar bay biscuits we could handle. Food came out fresh and hot in short order. Our waiter, ChristIan, was polite and attentive. She was very friendly and attentive. She was happy to help, you could just tell. The food was great. The restaurant was clean. They had my favorite cider on the menu. The staff was great. And the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My husband really enjoyed his meal, and we both got a kick out of the "presentation" of the lobster tail. My food was fantastic. Although Yelp says they are closed, their corporate website shows they are open and allowed me to place my online order. I'm writing this as I'm standing outside of the doors with about 15 other people waiting for their meals. I get there is a global pandemic, but other restaurants in the area have adjusted very well to "takeout only" service due to the stay in place orders in our city. The server came out to tell us they had ONE COOK, and they were running about 45 minutes to an hour behind schedule. It seems they only have one server running all of the orders also. There are SEVERAL out of work cooks in the San Antonio area who have been laid off and would love the opportunity to earn an honest paycheck. I remember growing up, Red Lobster was a special treat. We got dressed up and it was most certainly a special occasion to come here. It's not one of the elite restaurants like it use to be but I do like that many of the old classics are still on the menu! I think there is still a lot of hope for Red Lobster, but the vibe, upscale feel and high quality is just not the same. The menu still has loads of options that to me fits any budget. The variety of the "feast" and pick your own is well worth it. Our entire dining experience was overall very good and our service was attentive, knowledgeable and professional. Our cocktails were very tasty and well made. You do get your $ worth with the size of the glasses and there a lot of wine and cocktail options. We upgraded one drink for $1 and was struggling to finish it. I ordered the whole 1.4 lb lobster as a special treat for graduation ‍. My lobster was fresh of course but not sure if they boil vs steam as a ton of water came out as I was eating it. I thought that was unusual. My salad, broccoli, garlic biscuits-- bravo We also had the lobster pizza and a side of shrimp scampi. The lobster pizza was smaller than we thought but was ended up being more than enough. For some reason the shrimp have gotten a lot smaller at Red Lobster over the years but the taste is still there. The one star knock off was because to end such a great dining experience from being seated right away, superb service, fresh hot food .... to a long hair in our plate.
