Thank you Red Lobster for making Valentines Day special for my elderly mother and her friend! Mom is in Assisted Living. Her boyfriend there wanted to take her to Red lobster for Valentines day. They had never been out to dinner together and she was excited about her date! I called the restaurant and they suggested coming the day before the holiday as they would be very busy on Sun. I made reservations at 5pm on Sat and said the couple would not be able to stand and wait long. When we arrived, the place was packed with people waiting to be seated. To my surprise and relief, they were seated within a few minutes, and the hostess assisted with the walker. The menu was overwhelming for them, so I helped Mom select a drink and told them to have the waitress recommend an entree. Then I left them to their romantic dinner. When I came back an hour later they were finishing up and getting their doggie bags. Nobody rushed them, and they raved about how wonderful the food was. Their memories aren't great anymore, but I know they will be talking about their special dinner for awhile! read more

The hostess was outstanding. It was not busy so expected service to be decent. Had a serious ah ha moment. 3 people. Ordered drinks, appetizers then the endless shrimp. I tried but I know I wasn't going past two helpings. Advised the young lady , Revita(?) I wanted another scampi and could she bring a bag for the biscuits snd and a box for what I was not going to eat. She went on to say that we couldn't have a box for the shrimp I told her I understood but the shrimp I paid for is going with me. Overall her attitude was subpar, service was slow and she should have been more customer oriented. The tables around us came after us and had full dinners before our table. Appetizers came out at two different times. Had 2 servings of biscuits before main courses. It was not a good day for service on this trip to Red Lobster. Food was good, service not so good. The food was typical Red Lobster food. However, the server we had was outstanding. It was strange because we were seated in the bar area, and our server had tables both in the bar and in the main dining room which kept her moving. It took a very long time for drinks to come out so our server ended up making them herself. Our food was just ok. The shrimp with pasta in cream sauce is now prepared using shrimp with the tails on, which is strange. The steaks were very overcooked, so I don't recommend them. read more

Our server Haleigh was great and made our dining experience very relaxing and pleasant.

Had an early Birthday dinner with partner. The server was average. Never asked if wanted more of their delicious cheddar biscuits. We asked for a container for left overs which she provided. However, she didn't offer a bag to carry easier. When we got ready to leave the manager (I think) Claudine saw we didn't have a bag and using a walker got a bag and extra biscuits. I really hate to write this review because Red lobster around the country has been my favorite place to eat most of my life and I am 63. First let me say the new CEO is doing a magnificent job recreating Red lobster, on State St in Rockford the parking lot was empty all the time now it has new life. Up until recently everything was fine, the food was fine, the service was fine and I would always compliment the staff and management for excellent service and making substitutions that I would ask for and pay for. So my issue is management. There is a new manager who is not very nice and who lies to you right to your face. She is blonde, young and new. All the other managers in the Rockford area are accommodating, which makes the experience great. I always pay for the accomodations and leave generous tips. however this young lady doesn't have a problem telling you there are no substitutions when I know there are and there have been. More importantly I work with many people who I have invited to Red lobster at happy hour. When she is smiling at my young male coworkers and I have already asked them to ask for a substitution she is accommodating with them but she may not remember my face. First I hate a person who lies, I also hate a person who shows she will show men favors over women. I hate that I didn't get her name, but I will maybe because I may not visit that store again. My 2nd issue is the food, I ordered the last 2 meals to go, I always order the same thing which is a pasta meal. Well it was dry, dry, dry. When asked for sauce on the side the new manager says there is a upcharge which I don't mind paying but prior years have been told by other managers there is no upcharge. I asked this lady is this is new and she said no. I don't believe her. No other manager has charged me for Xtra sauce so my meal is not dry. So good luck red lobster, you will lose my business due to hiring managers who need extra traning and due to cutting corners and dry meals. read more

I placed a Togo order today and was missing the cajun Alfredo. Called into the restaurant and they brought it out. but once I got home there was no sauce on the cajun Alfredo or the shrimp linguini Both items were extremely dry noodles with meat on top. Would not recommend getting pasta to go. It's better when you dine in. read more

What a disappointment since our last visit to Red Lobster! We started with the lobster flatbread appetizer. It was not nearly as good as the prior lobster pizza appetizer and was way more expensive ($16.49). Only two fish now available as grilled or baked, a stuffed flounder & salmon. I liked the flounder without stuffing, no longer available. My husband used to get the shrimp trio, now gone from menu. Only one side with very expensive menu entrees. a side salad $2.49, cup (not a bowl) of soup, $6.99. If you want a Caesars salad, $4.99, ridiculous up charges. Guess we won't be going to Red Lobster any more. Our server, Mitzi D., was great, though! I feel sorry for her, since the place was practically empty, probably due to the inflated prices. read more

I usually don't give such a low rating. The dinner my wife and I had was terrible. I ordered the lobster feast. My wife had three kinds of shrimp. The meals were drenched in an extraneous amount of garlic. The lobster was very small, no taste, the garlic took over the meal. Scallops were so small and had no taste at all. Came here for dinner while we were in Rockford to attend a concert at a local venue. Upon arriving, we were graciously greeted by one of the staff. We only had to wait a few minutes to get a table, but while we waited, we had a drink in the bar. The bartender was very cheerful and courteous. She even took our photo (which we requested). When we were finally seated, our server made sure our drinks were fresh, and we ordered an appetizer. She was very outgoing, and made us feel at home. For an appetizer, we selected the lobster dip, which was scrumptious. And for our entrées...the new Lobster & Shrimp Feast. They were hot, fresh, and very delicious. Our server also was very attentive during our meal, making sure that our visit was pleasant and enjoyable. For being a chain restaurant, this place is doing something right. It was a Friday night, we got seated immediately, our server Nichole was very prompt to take our drink order, bring out the famous red lobster buns, and then take out orders. Our food came out piping hot and within a timely manner. I had the shrimp seafood trio which was shrimp scampi, coconut shrimp, and grilled shrimp in butter, that also included a salad - i got Cesar and a baked potato or some type of potato of your choice. It was packed for a Friday night, plenty of seating, great for groups, awesome daily specials, and reasonably priced for the amount of food you get! My plate could have served 3 people lol everything tasted fresh and so yummy. Would definitely recommend this particular location due to the service and wonderful food. read more

Service is better at McDonald's!. Do yourself a favor and save yourself some money and go elsewhere! It was absolutely disgusting! A major disappointment! If I could rewind... I would go back and save myself $170! That's a lot of money to spend on a to go order! It was late by over an hour and a half! It was cold because it sat over an hour an hour and a half! Never again will I step foot in this red lobster! Last year I gave them a chance to make things right. After my husband and I took our children here for dinner. We received the worst waitress possible. She was rude and hateful. She legit seemed annoyed she had to wait on us. If you're wondering no we're not difficult customers. I myself have been a waitress. So we're friendly we clean up our table. We don't make them run back and forth for unnecessary reasons. We're also great tippers! We tip at least 20% most times 30%. After she continued to be rude and nasty and spoke with a person in charge. No I'm not a Karen. Her slamming things on the table and rolling her eyes became entirely to much. So I guess she was pulled aside and told to get a better attitude. So her idea of an apology was to come back to the table with to go boxes. Slammed them on the table and said I'm sorry if I've ruined your night! She rolled her eyes and walked away! I was flabbergasted! I looked at my husband and said you gotta get me out of here before I lose my shit! After all we had our kids with and were only trying to have a nice family dinner. After that I spoke to the same person I had originally talked with about her. She just apologized and said I'll have someone call you. So then this year I said you know what We'll try again! So I did the to go order. It said it would be ready in 31 minutes. Once again I left a tip that's just what we do. It said to pull in the space and call so they could bring it out. I did this and no answer on the phone. So after several attempts I just went inside to grab it. Oh my god! People were crammed in this place waiting for to go orders tables so on. I'm like okay it's fine they're busy. That was my attitude until after an hour and still no food. When I finally did get it it was cold, it was old, the wait staff once again extremely rude. Then we get home and the food was awful. I told the kids it's seems a bit cold we'll just heat it up... no that didn't help. My daughters twenty something dollar chicken Alfredo literally had ONE piece of chicken. The rest just as bad unfortunately. So so unhappy. Never again will I waist my money at this place. If I've encountered plain rude the last two times I've been in there then it's a very common occurrence. So like I said so yourself a favor and go anywhere else! From their garlic cheddar rolls to the perfectly baked potato with salt on the skin, butter and sour cream, to the salad I always get with french and bleu cheese, it just never disappoints.
