Twice I have ordered items Togo. The first time I went in the store for pickup and it was the girl working seemed overly confused about her job duties of reading the ticket and packing the items in the bags as needed. I waited an incredibly long time for an appetizer and a dessert. Second time, yesterday, I ordered three items. I decided to use the curbside checkout so in case wit took awhile I at least had music. It took even longer. Then when the same confused girl as the other day came out with my order, she had one of three items I ordered. When questioned, she said there was only one order. I asked her to check on it. Then another car parked in curbside next to me, they got their food, I had to ask her again and she said she would check. It took me calling the restaurant for her to come out and finally have my other items. I was there for 45 mins waiting. Unacceptable!!! There has to be some accountability for how this one employee acts and treats customers. Eat here if you want red lobster. Their Togo process is severely flawed. read more

GOT FOOD Poisoning!!!! Notified the Marion County Health Department. Ordered lobster with Grubhub. After eating lobster within a few hours had 2 days of vomiting and then bloody diarrhea for 5 days. Extremely sick. Threw out everything. Will NEVER eat at this Red Lobster restaurant again. In fact, because of this terrible experience I will never eat at any Red Lobster restaurant ever again. The Marion County environmental health department hopefully will look into this issue. read more

Being new to Ocala Florida and for our Anniversary we decided to go to the Red Lobster here in our town , walked in and right away noticed the place was quiet and not a lot going on or to busy , we waited for about 5-6 minutes and then began to wonder who was doing the seating , tried to catch someone's eye but every waiter or hostess that walked by were busy doing there job , still nobody walked over to us and say " Will be with you shortly and sorry about the wait " it was like we were invisible or something! We ended up walking out and went directly over to Olive Garden and even though they were busy we were seated right away? 1 star for RL read more

We ate here on. Sunday. I had to write a review as everything was so good. Our waiter was John. John was fantastic! I had the shrimp scampi dinner with baked potato and it came with a Caesar salad. Yummy! My husband had coconut shrimp and sea scallops with a baked potato. Delicious! He also received rice pilaf as he didn't know it came with. My husband was very happy they had root beer as many places don't. I had a glass of Meiomi, Pinot noir, and it was delicious. read more

My daughter and I arrived at 11.05. server came to take drink order 10 minutes later. We gave him our lunch request, ayce shrimp and scallops linguine about a $45 bill. 11:57 approached a manager as where our food was . Three other patrons came in about 20 minutes after us and were served b4 us. 5 minutes later food arrive. My coconut shrimp was barely warm and same thing with my daughters meal. I told management I was Not going to pay a premium for cold food. His reply was they could reorder. Informed him I was Not about to wait another 30 minutes. He looked at me strangely an I announced we were leaving and Not paying for a cold meal. We then went to olive garden and ate there. I doubt if I or my daughter will go back to Red Lobster for a long time or Ever. read more

We were very happy and surprised on how well everything tasted. I haven't been to a Red Lobster in a long, long time. In the past, it always felt like some sort of never ending shrimp buffet place and a holdover from the '90s. Well times have changed and this newer restaurant feels more like a Ruth's Chris inside (photos). Clearly, Darden's ownership of the Capital Grille and Longhorns has rubbed off. We arrived for a late Friday lunch, as folk were clearing out around 1:30. We sat in the bar area and almost immediately, our waiter Josh came over with a basket of biscuits. Nice! We ordered the "pick your own" appetizer Combo of Calamari and Crab stuffed Mushrooms for $9.49. These were later Comped, since I scanned Red Lobster Seafood Club QR Reader. One of us also had a cup of the Clam Chowder for $4.49. Both were very good and tasted fresh. For our entrees, we ordered Broiled Flounder with Vegetable Medley (photo) for $8.79 and the Lobster Pizza for $10.99. The flounder had a nice taste and wasn't over cooked and the pizza was delicious. We split the bill, which came to $16.66 each including taxes but not gratuities. Since we were comped the appetizers, we gave a little extra for Josh who was outstanding. I don't know when the next time I'll be in a Red Lobster, but this one left us with a very good impression. I have also just received by emailed a $5.00 off coupon on our next dinner. LOL So Four Stars for the tasty lunch, excellent service by Josh and those never ending coupons. read more

Food was excellent, except for rice pilaf that was very dry and tasteless. Service was horrible, even though we came just after big dinner rush and restaurant was half empty. Order taken and salad came quickly, but only 1 biscuit each. Server said she would bring more but never did. Waited a long time for tea refill and finally came after meal was done. Asked for manager but she was evidently busy trying to appease other upset customers. Table beside us finally just canceled order and left. Rarely have we had such poor service. I believe the server was definitely in the wrong profession. read more

We'd been driving for a while, down the back road of 301, wanting to get food, but there really weren't any acceptable optoons. It wasn't until we hit 75 that we came upon Red lobster and agreed on it for our dining cjoice. There was an.. odor the minute you walk in. It wasn't pleasant, it was like old grease and dead fisj, it was not a scent to make you hungry and yet we stayed. We ordered off the menu and our food came quickly, my salad was drowned in dressing, as was the Scots. Our food however was good, there was so much that we took more than half of it home. I remember when Red lobster was high end, now it's really just kind of fast food sea food. read more

My husband and I stop at Red Lobster for dinner when we are in Ocala, Florida and have never been disappointed. Thus is our experience when we dined there last week. Although we have been to other Red Lobster restaurants in other states, we find Ocala's to be our all-time favorite. The food and service is above and beyond. Each time we visit this establishment, we're delighted to find it exceptionally clean and cheerful. Eagerly greeted by the hostess and other staff members, this restaurant and is comfortable and accommodating. We are always seated within a respectable time frame to a dining area where the atmosphere and the tables are warm and inviting. We enjoy eating dinner here since it is relaxing and we can take our time with our dinner. As a seafood lover, I am always excited to check out the menu and see what new dishes are being offered and am eager to try something different. My husband, on the other hand, steers clear from seafood but he is never disappointed by their pasta dishes as well as their classic steak and chicken dishes. While his new love is the "Bacon Mac & Cheese" side dish, his heart still holds a special place for their cheddar biscuits. The entire staff at Red Loster is gracious, polite, and genuine. They treat all diners like a special guest and are happy to welcome you even if they aren't serving you. During our last visit, we had the opportunity and the pleasure in having Kalli as our server. Kalli has the unique ability to make you feel as if you are a VIP and that she is there to ensure your dining experience is a perfect one. You can sense almost immediately that she takes her position very seriously and is the epitomy of true customer service and satisfaction. Looking around, I was not at all surprised to find that she was treating all her tables with the same exemplary service she was treating me and my husband. I applaud Kalli and give kudos to her and the staff for going above and beyond in making diners feel special. Last but not least, we had the pleasure of meeting the managers as the went around the tables to greet the guests. They were as genuine as their staff and wanted to make sure that they all had a wonderful dining experience. This, in some other restaurants, is a lost service. It is only with the feedback they receive that they can determine what needs improving. As I see it, Ocala's Red Lobster has hit the mark and is our #1 restaurant. read more

Not to celebrate my wife's birthday (because it was the day before) we all -- all five of us -- made it to Red Lobster for dinner. Our server, James, was a little heavy on the aftershave, but did a fairly good job taking care of us. However. All our plates -- every single one -- came out burning hot. I can only think of one way plates get THAT hot. My broccoli was rather dry like it had been sitting...well...under a heat lamp for a while. Even my daughter's knife, served with the plate, was too hot to hold. Again, it had been sitting for a while. They brought the wrong shrimp skewers for my wife and son, however they liked the ones brought out. They really liked the teriyaki ones. The girls had chicken, potatoes and Mac and cheese. I know, I know....it's a 9.5 year old thing. Plus one is allergic to fish. I had the lobster (dried out), salmon (very good) and shrimp with the aforementioned dried out broccoli. While the flavors, overall, were good, it was obviously sidelined under a heat lamp for a bit too long. Again, the flavors were all good - never been to a Red Lobster and had a bland meal - but it just seemed the meal was stuck in the kitchen a little longer than it needed to be. read more

Ordered flounder & scallops not cooked & was cold sent it back the broccoli wasn't cooked manager never came over to inquire.

Red Lobster in Ocala one of the biggest RIP-OFFS in town! Husband had a coUpon for a Birthday desert. We both ordered from their make your own combo! Each had the 2 combo. I had a DOUBLE order of Scallops ( asked for dry broiled because of diet restrictions) & hubby ordered scallops & shrimp. Lucky me- my DOUBLE order consisted of 6 scallops floating in a cloudy water. My husband had 6 fried shrimp & 3 scallops! Mind you, each order of scallops cost an additional $2.49. We knew that going in-that was not a surprise - the surprise was the "mini" meals. Hubby ordered House salad - waitress brought Caesar. I couldn't have lettuce so waitress offered double asparagus in place of salad ( then I was again charged an extra $2.49). Total dinner cost $59.09 read more

Very little food for twice the money came home hungry. Sick to my stomach the cole slaw was bad 18.00 for one piece of fish over a small bed of fries and of course the terrible cole slaw. My husband got the skewered grilled shrimp and scallop 5 baby scallops and 6 tiny shrimp over a bed of white plain rice the seafood tasted like hamburger gross the bill came to 50.00 outragous. We Will never be going back read more

The food was okay. I had a new dish, Cajun chicken with shrimp and sausage. It was served over rice with a choice of side. My wife had the Caesar Salad with lobster and shrimp. The seafood toppling was generous. BUT, ordered two shrimp cocktails AND "not very good waiter" Tim put in the order AND had them on our check. WE NEVER GOT THEM!!! He appeared with out entrees and seemed surprised that they were not served. It seems he is consumed with being charming with "y'all's" and "how's everything tasting" AND not very good at being a waiter. He served my wife's Blue Moon to me, showed their gimmick pay at the table gadget to my wife, was surprised when I asked for a printed bill WITH the shrimp cocktails removed. He got a tip but it was generosity based NOT service. Can't recommend this restaurant at all AND don't accept a table with this waiter. read more

So I decided to eat her on my business trip to Ocala, FL. The restaurant promotion was "All You Can Eat Shrimp". It was amazing and I truly enjoyed it! I was seated rather quickly. My waiter was new, actually it was his first day. He was amazing! He was so attentive and made great recommendations. My shrimp orders came out about 3 minutes after my request. My glass never got blew half full. I can't tell you how great this service was . I will be back to this Red Lobster location. read more

Since 1993 when I went into the Red Lobster with my sister it ended up being my favorite restaurant of all times. I have celebrated my Birthday every year since then from CA to all the way across the country and now in FL. Two years ago we ordered my Birthday dinner and instead of free dessert I ordered my fav Key Lime Pie. We decided to try Door Dash. Figuring it would take awhile ordered at 4PM. 6PM no show, called restaurant, spoke to manager and he stated food had left one hour ago, that "I" needed to call Door Dash! I refused, stating you are the one who had them deliver! I got a call back stating would be there soon? Already an hour late! Around 6:15 PM Door dash arrives and stated, "well I had 5 orders to deliver before yours". Obviously meal was inedible! I contacted Red Lobster again as the dessert also was not in the order yet charged to my card. Manager apologized and said they would send it with another delivery. Never showed! Stupidly this year yesterday on June 14 again my Birthday I wanted my fav food from Red Lobster so we ordered online for pick up, no delay that way. 8 miles away, husband drove to pick up was there before the pick up time so figured good food will still be at least warm by time got home. Waited 15 minutes in parking lot, no one came out after he let them know was there. He went inside, still not ready! Then he gets the order, gets home within 15 minutes and food stone cold, baked potato hard as a brick, wrong sides and even the coconut shrimp was wilted, biscuits were nasty. Time to find a new fav for birthday again, now at 76 have spent 47.00 for last year and 40.00 this year and no edible meal. Sorry and sad Red Lobster but we shall never return. I am sure you may not care that your parking lot was basically empty around 430 to 5pM and I can never remember a time not packed. It is not fun writing a review like this but they need to either fix this or shut down. Or simply do not do take out. Experience inside for the past however many years was always excellent. If you do not know how to prepare food for take out so it is reasonably warm and edible I suggest you stop doing it. read more

OK, I said I wouldn't be back, but there I was again...... Hey...the food was hot and tasty. The restaurant had just had a remodel and looked nice even though the poor lighting made it difficult to see. The restrooms were pretty darn clean. I dined here with my Grandmother and parents last night. CHRIS was our server, he is really upbeat, funny and knowledgable about the menu! I ordered the SeaFarer's feast, yum! He was attentive and engaging, and we left happy and stuffed! Slowest service of my life. Unbelievable. Was sitting at the bar for 15 minutes until bartender took my order. I used to like Red Lobster.

Shrimp Alfredo...included in Endless Shrimp. We were here a few weeks ago and had horrible service. Management gave us a couple of gift cards to come back and we are SO GLAD we did. The service was OUTSTANDING! Jen and Danielle were fantastic. Danielle told us Jen would be our server but was tied up making sundaes and asked if she could get our drink order. From there they tag-teamed and supported each other. Jen was always on top of getting our endless shrimp refills and the food was cooked to perfection. Great customer service and a delicious meal. It's been a long time since we really enjoyed Red Lobster, but tonight they were really on their game. (and yes...we told the manager how great Jen and Danielle were!) read more

The food was good, so this review is not a reflection of that. This issue I have, really, is with a waitress. However, she is really just a product of Ocala, FL. I should really be doing a review of the city but the incident happened here so... The restaurant was pretty packed, however we got seated after a five minute wait. The hostesses were super sweet. We waited 20 minutes for our waters, and an additional ten minutes to order. Our waitress was having issues with time management. BUT, the kicker was when she came over to take our order. I have to preface this dialogue with the fact that I am second generation Asian American who grew up in this backwards town and I was at the restaurant with my parents who are first generation Asian American, been citizens for awhile now. Here is how the order went down: I ordered first stating, "I would like to order the create your own platter..." The waitress: "Is that for you or for him?" [pointing to my father] Me: "That's for me because I said, 'I would like..." The waitress [asking me]: "What will she have?" [pointing to my mother] Me: "She can order for herself." The waitress, somewhat embarrassed then asked my mother what she wanted. My issue is the presumption of my parents' foreignness. They have been speaking English longer than I have been alive. Longer than my oldest sister has been alive, so we are talking 40+ years of English speaking! However, this woman just assumed that clearly these people must not know and it basically ruined the rest of the Red Lobster experience. The food was tasty, but the frickin' cluelessness of the waitress was a real downer. My hope is that someday, that Civil Rights Movement makes it down to Ocala. Geez. But, again, the hostesses from a different generation than our waitress, were very nice. read more

Recent visit to Red Lobster (Ocala, rt200), was a big disappoint- WHAT HAPPENED??? Clam chowder thin and meatless as chicken broth...nary a scant spec of clam. Shrimp in all dishes were "downsized" ; seafood in my special tasted of burnt hickory. The French Fries we're however exceptional, bravo. Our waiter managed to charge our card for another dinners bill and was as responsive as a well-deserved treated Thorazine patient, lackadaisical and glib he was I say. This, nevertheless we failed to find funny. Always loved Red Lobster; this establishment burns a dark blemish on the franchise and will forever be reticent in choosing another. Thanks for reading as this was an accurate account. read more
