We did an online order as it's my birthday and I didn't feel like dining in. We ordered shrimp scampi, popcorn shrimp, cheddar biscuits and I received a free brownie dessert for my birthday. I think whoever put our order together was mad. The popcorn shrimp was barely done, the shrimp scampi looked like it was sitting in slime and though my desert was free, I was given 3 small hard as a rock brownie pieces, about a teaspoon of ice cream and a small container of chocolate. My daughter and I had an absolutely wonderful Valentine's Day experience at Red Lobster, and I felt compelled to share it. This year, I decided to take my 10-year-old daughter out to show her how a woman should be treated. We both dressed up for the occasion, she wore a beautiful dress, and I wore my three-piece black tuxedo. I had made reservations ahead of time, and when we arrived, we were escorted promptly to our table, which already made the evening feel special. Our server, Shayla Toplin, truly made this night unforgettable. My daughter, Taya, really wanted crab legs. I was explaining to her that she would need to crack open the shells to get the meat out, which can be difficult even for adults. When Shay came back to take our order, we mentioned that Taya wanted crab legs but might struggle with opening them. Shay simply smiled and said, "Don't worry, I got you." At the time, I wasn't exactly sure what she meant. When our food arrived, Shay told my daughter, "Give me one minute, let me go put on my gloves." She returned and began carefully opening every crab leg for Taya. While doing so, she shared a story about a 90-year-old woman who also loved crab legs but was too frail to open them herself, so Shay would help her in the same way. What Shay did may seem small to some, but to us, it meant everything. She went far beyond her job description. She recognized a father trying to create a meaningful and memorable Valentine's Day for his daughter and stepped in with kindness, compassion, and heart. She helped create an environment filled with inclusion, laughter, joy, and genuine human connection. This is a spotlight and a heartfelt thank-you to Shay. Your kindness did not go unnoticed, and it made a lasting impression on both of us. We dined here only at the request of my 90 yr old mother-in-law who likes the menu. We apparently dined on the wrong day of the week (Friday) at noon! The waiter promptly informed us that the daily special for Friday (Fish & Chips) as promoted in the colorful menu was not available! My first two choices from the featured appetizers list were not available either (Bacon wrapped scallops nor bang bang shrimp)! They did have fried shrimp available - my last choice. It was odd. Kinda felt like a Fire Sale -- clean out the kitchen before the business closes for good. No one offered to explain the unusual set of circumstances. Joy to the world...our server, Joy, was fabulous (ask for her section). We love Red Lobster. I always have the clam chowder. Love the fish and chips! Cole slaw is very good. My husband had the Pick 3: shrimp scampi, Walt's Favorite and shrimp linguini Alfredo. The Cheddar Bay biscuits were fresh and hot. Nice that traditional Christmas music was playing. 3 months ago I had a terrible experience at Red Lobster. I received a coupon from Red Lobster so I decided to go back. I have to say they've improved significantly in 3 months! From start to finish it was a great experience. I made a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived and the hostess was very nice. They had biscuits on our table waiting for us and they were delicious. I asked for a gluten free menu when I made my reservation and they had it when we arrived. Our server was very friendly and took our order promptly. We both tried the seafood boil, which is something new for Red Lobster. Our meals were excellent and could be my new favorite at Red Lobster! On top of that, you'll get upset and go in, you'll see your food on a cold shelf just sitting there and see the takeout worker just chilling there playing games on her phone. Red lobster is OK if you have lived in South Bend all your life and you just can't get seafood lobster anywhere else. But red lobster would be my first choice for seafood probably not but if someone in a group wants to come here, then you're just sort of stuck and you make the best of the situation and it's just mediocre. read more

I had gone there to celebrate a belated birthday dinner. I had ordered their lobster shrimp linguine. Upon leaving the restaurant I didn't get 10 minutes down the road and had to stop to use the restroom. I am now 5 days in from having eaten that meal and still experiencing severe diarrhea and stomach pain. I will never, ever go back to that restaurant. I had a side salad which cost me $4.00. There was absolutely no salad leaves just the junk pieces(Lettuce core) u normally throw away. They must keep the junk and throw the leaves away. I'm grading the food low and I tipped Shay well. The waitress was fantastic and here name was Shay. Shay is funny and has a fantastic personality. I recommend if you come here that you get her. Didn't even make it in to our table. We had a reservation for 15 to celebrate my mother and step-father's 20th anniversary. Had a partitioned room reserved. When we arrived, we were informed that our room/tables had been already seated with other guests. We arrived 5-10 minutes early, so it wasn't due to our punctuality. My mother was the one speaking to the hostess and manager, so this is coming second hand, but she is a religious person who would not berate a stranger. I kid you not, within 20 seconds of being told that they would not honor our reservation, they were threatening to call the police to get us to leave. Not one of us raised out voice, cursed, or caused any kind of raucous to provoke such a threat. We were so flabbergasted, we said fine, we will leave. Then as we are in the parking lot, calling around to find a restaurant to accept our party of 15, the hostess chased us down and threatened to call the police again. 100% UNPROVOKED AND UNCALLED FOR. We were not breaking any laws, or even in their building anymore. ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IN MY 26 YEARS OF ADULTHOOD. The absolute gall to not honor our reservation, then to unprovoked threaten to call the police if we did not leave still leaves me shocked. A business in Indiana has every right to refuse service to anyone, so we have no path of recourse. Only to blast it on here. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

This is what $44 of food looked like! I ordered 2 orders of shrimp scampi- one order had 4 shrimp the other 5 - for $12.58- the crab legs were so tiny with hardly any meat- $ 21- and the stuffed mushrooms - 4 small mushrooms -9.99- I had to end up cooking to feed my family after spending all this money! I know i staffing is stretched but that has nothing to do with this - this was just robbery! read more

It's so hard to rate because of Covid menu limitations They didn't have our normal salads only ceasar They didn't have lunch menus again because of limitations. I had lobster lovers dream- it was good but potato was hard and not done. Hubby had ultimate feast and his was good. He LOVES crab legs and after not having crab for 4 months he was thrilled with a small cluster We had a reward for artichoke seafood chips & dip and it was just ok. Not alot of seafood in it and we would probably not order it again. We went to Indiana because Michigan is still closed down and we had been in Quarantine for 8 weeks PRIOR to leaving FL so another 8 weeks without being able to enjoy eating out sucks. I like Red Lobster restaurants in general, but the service level really does fluctuate wildly from one location to another. I've always received great service at this location. But especially this week. I had lunch here two days in a row, seated at the bar, and the service and food were great. I'm doing the Whole30 meal plan, so I have some stringent food restrictions. Both times the bartender/server made sure that my food was cooked as needed. But they earned their 5th star because of the "secret menu" desert they made for me. I can't eat of the desserts on the menu, but I can have fresh fruit. So they made up a plate of fresh pineapple slices, strawberries and oranges. Delicious!! read more

Spotlessly clean, professional greeting, Tony, my waiter is perfect, food was great. Baked potato was cooked to perfection, best I can remember having, ever!!! Shrimp scampi was hot and flavorful. Went for my birthday. Ordered the new shrimp Rangoon appetizer. My husband ate several; when I bit into it I knew the shrimp was raw and we told the waitress. Manager took it off our bill. Husband ordered steak medium and lobster. The steak was rare. Got the waitress again, they redid the steak...even more rare. The manager again apologized and offered to comp meal. Then we got the bill! The manager had taken off MY meal ($2) cheaper and our desserts (which they had offered to us free.) The bright spot was that our waitress was absolutely awesome and brought me a simple gesture that made me cry. The dark spot? Feels like a confession. My friend talked me into going to the Lobster. or as I used to call it, the Dennys of seafood. When I was a kid, it was alright, about once a year. Now....... I ordered the Seafareres delight, or whatever it was, allegedly 2 small lobster tails , some scallops and breaded shrimp. Like $28. My friend had something similar. Jessica, the waitress , was spot on perfect. Was friendly, witty and answered all of our questions. Oh, lets not forget the rolls. It was about 4 , place was almost empty. The food came out in a timely manner,everything was there, no problem. Jessica even cracked my friends crablegs for him, as he is handicapped. Nothing was really bad, but nothing was really great.
