I had a horrible time at this restaurant. Our server was kind, the food was okay, but the atmosphere is what I'll take away from here most. Being a one of two people who were visibly not Caucasian or Hispanic, all patrons in my party's area of the restaurant stopped eating their meals and engaging in their conversations the moment we were seated which happened to be dead center. It was without question one of the most bizarre and also most frustrating experiences I've had at any restaurant. I felt like a zoo attraction. I would give a zero or less rating if possible. Very Poor Service/Standards I ordered a birthday meal Saturday, January 31, 2026, see receipt. The food delivered was substandard to say the least and the cost for this meal was very disappointing in comparison to the meal received. The meal items were packaged horribly. Both appetizers arrived cold. The seafood stuffed mushrooms contained half an order and the stuffing was smeared all over the container and not inside the 2 mushrooms received. The mozzarella sticks were delivered with no marinera sauce and were cold to the touch and cheese not melted as if just warmed and not cooked. The brussel sprouts, which cost extra, both orders contained uncooked, raw spouts that simply appeared to be tossed in the sauce. Because they were raw, both orders were inedible. The main dish on both contained grilled shrimp which was over-seasoned and charred instead of nicely grilled. Neither meal contained the drawn butter always included, so it was a very good thing we ordered extra garlic butter otherwise would have had no butter with the meal. The dragon teriyaki lobster can simply as 1 piece. I am unsure how many are to an order but highly suspect there is more than 1 piece. The potato ordered arrived very shriveled and almost not worth eating and the requested "fully loaded" condiments arrived in a container half opened so most of the contents spilled into the deliver bag. I will say that this is the second time we have ordered from this particular restaurant recently and both times have been disappointing; however this order far exceeds the disappointing standard. Sadly, I will say we will not be ordering or dining-in for the foreseeable future. The quality of the food and service are horrible as this restaurant. I was at the Red Lobster yesterday Afternoon for lunch/I was disappointed in the Fish & chips and coleslaw! The one piece of fish I got was very oily and it was mostly batter & very little Fish..I Could have gone to The Game and gotten better fish!! The coleslaw had no dressing on it-very tasteless!! And disappointing. The Service was great -we got extra biscuits that are delicious & I asked for a To-Go cup for my ice tea and it was brought to me quickly and with a smile. Normally I love this Red Lobster!! I am a very long time customer and usually very satisfied. This time, however I was very disappointed. I placed a fairly large carry out order for early pick up. The order was 10 minutes late in getting completed... the Chesapeake Fries were not hot and the Lobster dip and chips did not remotely resemble the photo on the order page. The salsa was the tiniest cup they have and the lobster dip was in a cup (not a plate like the photo) that left a whole inch from the top empty! I don't know if the kitchen or the server or the restaurant was at fault . This is the first time I ordered on a Sunday and will be the last! The service during the week is far better. we were on our vacation and decided to have lobster and crab. We stopped at this restaurant unfortunately the first batch of both me and my daughters was cold. I asked the waitress to touch it. She but did oh yeah you're is cold so she it back but the killer part about it was I stuck a crack crab leg in between the crab just to see if they were going to really bring me some fresh new crab as they so-called manager said when the crab legs two separate plates came back once again cold again very funny how he said that they would bring us fresh crab it wasn't. We're sorry to say, we thought this restaurant was and is way over rated. The mood and setting is way out dated and feels so unwelcoming. They were out of a lot things that we asked for which was kinda weird, I can understand one thing being out but multiple? The decor, building, carpet and just everything in general was very outdated. Unfortunately, this review isn't going to be a good one, so hold on, this is going to sting a bit. My husband and I went to Red Lobster in Las Cruces for our 25th Anniversary. He ordered the shrimp special and I ordered a pound of crab legs and the crispy Brussel sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were delicious, I wish I could say the same for the crab legs. When the plate of crab legs arrived to our table, they were covered in some kind of little brown things that looked like bugs. The shell was so soft, that when I went to break open the shell, it just bent and tore. The meat was stuck to the inside of the shell, I had to scrape the meat off the shell to get it off to eat it. The meat was extremely bland and had zero taste to it. I did something I had never done before in my entire life; I left the remaining cluster of crab legs on my plate to be thrown in the trash, instead of taking home the leftovers. I did ask the waiter if he could get me some napkins to wipe the little bugs off the shells, so they wouldn't get on the rest of my food, because they were just falling off the shells and getting on the rest of the food. Have never been a fan of RL but went twice recently because of neighbors. Both times the food was good and plentiful. But today (3/21) the experience was exceptional all due to our server (Louisa). She was prompt, thorough, and never missed a beat. Of you asked for something it was there in seconds. The biggest plus was her personality and attitude. She was so friendly and HAPPY it was contagious - absolutely the very best server I have ever seen in Las Cruces and I've lived here for 15 years. Went Friday night with a weekly dinner out group of 10. My meal did not arrive for at least 15-20 minutes after the others were served. I inquired and was told it was "coming out"...waited another 5 minutes and decided to cancel my order. It came anyway, about 10 more minutes! I spoke with our server and expressed my sincere disappointment. The server did not apologize, and the manager only made excuses (not enough servers and a larger than normal crowd) I did not want excuses, just apologize. We had a late lunch here today. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We had a Caesar salad, loaded baked potato and fish n chips. My husband liked his fish and chips. My salad was very good and it was big.Unfortunately the potato was very underwhelming. It was on the menu by itself, I expected more. It was a small potato on a plate by itself. Went here for a late dinner on Halloween night because we were expecting Trick or Treaters but they never showed lol. Anyways, they didn't seem to busy but they had customers at the bar and a few tables and we were greeted and seated right away. I noticed the lobster tank was mostly empty and the floors were dirty ( maybe they were cleaning up) so it took away the aesthetics I remember as a kid. The service was fantastic and we already knew what we wanted. I had the "Shrimp your way" special that was all you can eat. They had like nine options of shrimp you could get which was cool, a few new options and the classics ways. The Dragon shrimp was really good and I really enjoyed my Coconut shrimp as well. Technically a 4.5 for the area. The consistency of the food is amazing and the bar harbor lobster bake is just to die for with the combination of flavors. Consistently excellent service and we have never had a bad experience there. Little things, would be nice to have to have limes for drinks but that's a small thing. Clean environment and professional staff observed social distancing rules and Ilene really amazed us. She was attentive and what an exceptional personality. Staff, although friendly, did not attempt to seat my party with me, and I ended up discovering them ten or fifteen minutes after they had already arrived. Service was otherwise excellent by chain restaurant standards other than the outdated menus in use. The food, however, was lackluster. Rolls tasted like unappetizing fatty dough. Chicken tenders seemed like they rolled off the back of a Sysco truck pre-made and were indistinguishable from school cafeteria food. The nine-dollar "seafood" stuffed mushrooms tasted only of mushrooms and a generous coating of cheese, swimming in a melted cheese sauce. For the price point I wouldn't bother. read more

We made a reservation but the place was not that busy for a Friday night. We were sat by the hostess then were ignored for ten minutes. No greeting, no drink order, no waitress appeared. We finally were addressed by a waitress who appeared to be overwhelmed and disheveled. Mind you, they were not very busy. We finally get our bread and drinks. Only to wait for 30-45 minutes without her saying a word to us or refilling our drinks. The table behind us saw two sets of a couple of people just like us come and go twice during our entire meal. When we did get our meals, my spouse's had a HAIR in it. So we waited for 20 more minutes while my entree got cold waiting for my spouses. It was somewhere between ok and meh. - Lobster tail -- Ok, but I had to ask for butter instead of it showing up with the meal. - Butter poached lobster -- Meh. It had a lot of liquid in the bowlish thing they served it in but it was far more water than butter. - Lobster/shirmp pasta -- Extremely meh. -- Very little to almost no lobster, fair amount of shrimp and pasty pasta. ok, so my son an RL ate at RL today about 3 and he had one of the big lobster platters and I had a big platter and we got cheese sticks and I got the extra lobster bits on my baked potato and the bacon topped mac n cheese. I just spent $48 at the Las Cruces location. My order was wrong, the waiter was rude and the food was sub-par. I left over half of it on my plate because I couldn't make myself choke any more of it down. I would have asked for a manager but figured one wasn't available since I waited over 5 minutes in an empty restaurant for someone to show up just to seat me ‍. Welcome to Lobster Roll Reviews, by yours truly. Today, we went to Red Lobster in Las Cruces, NM, to try the chain's new lobster roll. The roll is only offered for lunch and includes French fries for $9.99. Here is my summary review for you: Lobster Roll: It included a grilled top-split hot dog bun that was warm and tender filled with a mixture of lobster meat, basil, mayo, and lemon. The overall flavor was quite nice with a contrast between the warm bun and cool lobster meat. The basil and lemon added some freshness to the roll. The amount of lobster meat was a bit lacking and I ate the entire lobster roll in only four bites (maybe I was hungry?). I know lobster is expensive so maybe I shouldn't harp on the lack of lobster, but ... it was a bit lacking. Everything else: Cheddar Bay biscuits are always delicious and this was no exception. The fries that came with the lobster roll were hot, salty, and tasty. I also had lobster bisque that tasted like lobster bisque, but had no ... lobster ... in it. Bummer. I assign grades for Tasted, Creativity, and Presentation. Taste: B- Creativity: C Presentation: C Not bad, Red Lobster, but work on being more innovative. read more

I came in today for my free birthday coupon. You get it when you are signed up with red lobsters email list and enter your birthday. You get to choose between a lobster roll,the lobster pizza or a desert of choice. I walked in and was met by the host who was friendly enough to lead me to the bar and let me know to talk to the bartender about what I would like to eat. So I sat down and was helped out immediately about what I needed. We redeemed my coupon and he got me the vanilla bean cheesecake. Only if I can tell you yelp about how creamy and delicious this cheesecake is. The graham cracker crust is sweet and just awesome. The vanilla bean part you see all the little specks they use from the bean and not the extract. I was in red lobster today for less than five minutes. That how good the service was. 6/18/19 Worst lunch ever!! Second & last time we will go there!! Had 2 orders of the Tuesday special lunch & Both were terrible. It consisted of deep fried fish, scallops, shrimp and clam strips. Unfortunately you can't rate zero stars which is what is deserved and this is my first No star for a Red Lobster. Normally my number one favorite restaurant not in Las Cruces after today. For starters we stood up front at 2:30pm for a good 5 minutes two employees walked by us never acknowledged our presence when the hostess appeared from the restroom asked, Have you been helped? That should have been the sign! The waiter came over to see what we would like in the way of drinks and appetizers. We ordered the Boston Ice tea with cranberry is tasteless my husband's Arnold Palmer which he specified sweet was so sour we didn't finish barely a quarter of our drinks . I ordered broiled flounder with a salad as my side my husband ordered a hamburger with fries. The salad came first although ordered as my side to my meal for lunch in any case he brings the salad immediately asking if the dressing is enough without waiting to see the coverage. The fish was presented on a plate plain no lemon no tartar same as the burger plain dry which was overcooked tomatoes were green salad lettuce on the burger with minimal effort on appearance. Now when I chose Red Lobster I was really expecting a decent meal for a 50 dollar lunch. I felt cheated and would have received better service and food at a fast food restaurant. Your food had blackened spice on my fish was not specified nor expected your service is mediocre the table had crumbs as well as filthy menus. I never saw a manager on site during our eating experience and I wont be back for another overpriced poor customer service for a meal. Dropped in for lunch and the obligatory cocktail. Fairly busy but were seated quickly even after my insistence on booth seating. Didnt catch our servers name sadly because he deserves direct praise. He was wonderful with cocktail suggestions. We went for the Mango Mai Tai and it was yummy. Fruity like I like it and enough booze to feel it but stay upright ;) . We had an Admirals Feast and an Ultimate Feast. We substituted additional fried clams for the shrimp in the Admirals (eewww, little water roaches). Everything was delicious, crunchy and cooked just right. I loved the flounder, wow! The champagne vinaigrette on the salad was out of this world. I'd go back just for salad. The Ultimate Feast was just that. Huge crab legs, a sizeable lobster tail and lots of shrimp. The tail was tender, sweet and juicy with and without the clarified butter. Delicious. Meaty crab legs and , from what I'm told LOL, the shrimp were excellent in both forms. Our waiter was on the spot with biscuits, suggestions (among them the apple crostada which was so rich and tasty!)and refills. Wish I knew his name because he is an asset to RL. In the past, I have not reviewed any of the major chain restaurants, but since we do eat at them occasionally, I decided to review the ones that are located here in Las Cruces. My last experience was last week, went we went out to celebrate an anniversary. My lobster, garlic shrimp, and shrimp scampi entree, including the rice pilaf was very good. The cheesy biscuits are always good. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees too. So, when we do visit a chain restaurant, the Red Lobster is good option. read more

I ordered the lobster feast, which was over cooked. My lobster was not hot and rubbery in texture. The lobster bisque was good as was the calamari. But spend almost $30 on a dish not being hot and over cooked is unacceptable. read more
