We had an awesome waitress, Kaitlyn, she did an excellent job. We didn't wait for anything, she had it there before we asked. My husband did the endless shrimp and she was on it, had the shrimp out in perfect time! We will go back again. I'll start with the good. Service by Ceara was impeccable. Now for the bad. It is now Red Lobster's policy to leave the shrimp tails on in the Shrimp Linguine Alfredo. Seriously?? I can understand the other types of shrimp dishes, but in this one, shrimp tails need to be removed. Another change is their cheesecake. It used to be the best I'd ever had. Ok! So this Red Lobster so you're pretty sure you know what your getting! That being said my wife and I just had dinner here for my birthday ! Yay, my birthday ! We had a very nice evening . We were greeted upon entry immediately and taken to a nice table in the back. it's Fourth of July so most of the restaurant is empty. Our waiter was Nick who was super nice and very funny and helped us have a wonderful evening. My wife said he was charming but I think she has a hot for him. We ordered live lobster. And the service could not have been better. Everything was served warm and delicious we started with the seafood stuffed mushrooms . Those are very tasty ( mine are better when I make some homemadebut that's OK. ). When I had the soup clam chowder New England it was very good as expected you know the normal red lobster thing! And then my wife and I both had lobster which came with side dishes and drawn butter my lobster was humongous. My wife's were very large( she had two! She can be greedy! . They were steamed to perfection and because it was my birthday I got ice cream for dessert so don't be jealous. We were greeted by two managers one of them named was Angie and she was so nice. And another guy big guy maybe his name was Tim I can't remember we were drinking which by the way we had this awesome deal where you bought a beverage and got a free souvenir glass amazing all in all a very nice birthday. I am rating this with three stars because the lobster bisque was inedible. I'd never seen an orange lobster bisque before. This one tasted of flour, sharp cheddar cheese, and something foul. Because we were having a somewhat light lunch, I decided to not ask for the clam chowder as a replacement. We shared the lobster roll, which was very tasty. No, it's not as good as what you can get on the east coast. Yet, it's pretty darn delicious. Next time, we'll be ordering one for each of us. We also got the stuffed mushrooms. These were fab, as usual. They really do taste wonderful. You just have to wait for them to cool down. Cut them in half, and you're good to go in no time (usually). He had the Caesar salad, and was very happy with it. Our waitress was super nice and friendly and very attentive. My guy LOVES the cheddar bay biscuits, and she kept us well supplied. She was also very quick with water refills, which was nice. Sometimes, the wait staff seem to not want to bother if you're only drinking water. Our waitress was fantastic but I hated that my shrimp was served with the tail skins still attached to them mixed in my Alfredo. I had to take each tail off individually myself. it was really disappointing. I've never seen anything like it before at any restaurant. With the prices, this is unacceptable. The waitress told us it was because of the all you can eat option and that they can't keep up with taking the shrimp tails off in the kitchen. I will not be back after that. read more

Im surprised that a seafood restaurant doesn't automatically put lemon wedges on the plates. Baked potatoes tasted good but weren't quite done. Because of Covid, I hadn't been here in more than two years, and prices are higher with less food. Sure, it is a chain. Sure, if you order the all you can eat shrimp it is not that great. But if you order the higher end stuff it is pretty good. Especially if your in Wisconsin and most restaurants really don't have much of a selection after deep fried cod. They have a limited selection of fresh seafood which can be very good. Not inexpensive. Great for a celebration dinner, as ours was. We arrived early on a Friday (5 ish) - 10 minute wait - if you hold out till 6 or so, it is a 45 minute wait, so plan accordingly. You can get a drink while waiting, but they don't have a bar area per se. Dinner choices were the Pacific King Crab legs (off the fresh seafood menu), Maple Glazed Salmon and Shrimp, and the Steak Oscar, with Lobster and Shrimp. All three dinners were prepared well, and were delicious. I would say that they were just a bit overcooked - the steak ordered rare was served medium rare, the salmon was just a bit overcooked - you can tell when there is a little white "gunk" coming out of the fish - called albumen, it is a sure sign that it is overcooked. But, it was still very tasty, and certainly not wrecked - just a little overdone. Both the steak and the salmon were thin pieces, which are hard to cook correctly, although I suspect they overcook because most people don't really want rare steak or fish - even though they should. I think of Red Lobster somewhat like Texas Roadhouse - a themed chain restaurant that does what it does pretty well. You would do better I am sure in a local place, but you get a consistent, good tasting meal at all the locations. And for seafood in the midwest, very hard to do better. Just don't order off the low priced options and expect to get the best meal. read more

We came here for a later dinner after Country Jam. For being before close it was an enjoyable experience. Service- Allison was excellent. She was friendly and attentive. She actually held conversation with us and did not seem annoyed that we came in later like some do. Excellent service! Food- I had the Admirals Feast and it was excellent. Everything was hot and fresh. My husband had the new Kung Po Noodles with chicken. He added a lobster tail. His was also really good, other than he did feel the lobster tail was pretty small for the cost. Overall the food was delicious. Only complaint- my husband had iced tea and at about 9:30 Allison offered a refill but cam back and said she was really sorry but they had dumped the tea for the night. Had dinner last night here with a couple friends that live in town. Our server was great!! Very attentive and friendly. The restaurant had pretty much cleared out by the end of our meal so she made an extra check in or two since she didn't have much else to do. Even though we didn't need anything, it was appreciated. Went there for a recent family celebration and enjoyed the service. The wait staff was very friendly and responsive to our needs. I'm not much for the fancy sea food so I ordered the simple cod filet and chips. I was underwhelmed with the batter/taste. It was lower quality than the fish from Culvers. Brought the family here December 26, 2012 the night starts off by the server assistant spilling water on my wife. Asked our server (Chelesy) if we get a free appetizer she brought us nachos which were great! The manager (mike) came out shortly after asked if we were ok and if we needed anything. Our drinks were never half empty and food was great. Moral of the story... Kick you server assist in the leg and have him spill a drink on your wife and you're set. The best thing about Red Lobster is that the food is always good. Most of the waitresses have been working there for a long time, like Noreen and Jodie. You can always ask them to suggest a dish. My family have their favorites from the menu: for appetizer there is nothing better than coconut shrimp with a very good dipping sauce. The mushrooms stuffed with lobster are out of this world. We may choose a clam chowder or a lobster bisque for a couple of dollars more instead of a Caesar salad or regular salad. My grandchildren love a lobster and I always spoil them since they live in LA; I like the fresh salmon with a shrimp sauce, one of my daughters loves the fresh trout. The deserts are good too, specially the chocolate cake. It is a huge piece and it makes people selfish and they won't even share. The drinks are great too. My husband & I enjoy coming to Red Lobster for the food & the service. He is a fan of the fried shrimp, while I love the garlic grilled jumbo shrimp on rice with broccoli. Our servers are always polite & attentive, seeing that we have everything we need. When we go in for lunch we have an amazing, well-balanced meal that is comparable to a fast food price; but so much better. LOVE the biscuits, all other food, & the service. The one time there was a small error on the bill, it was quickly taken care of & gift coupons were even given to compensate. This was not necessary; but greatly appreciated. This used to be my favorite chain. I think it is but just not the one in Eau Claire. I love seafood and my husband usually has the steak or fish. My son loves the shrimp alfredo as my daughter eats all of our meals and her own! However, we just can't visit this particular franchise in Eau Claire because each time my husband has been with us, cross contamination has occurred. He either throws up in the parking lot or is on the toilet all evening. That is no way to spend your anniversary or birthday evening. Last time we were there, I reported his illness. They sent us a comp card which I promptly gave away. Their attorney called him a few times and eventually I told them not to worry...we were not going to sue them. Everyone makes mistakes. Even though we won't be back to this particular store, it won't stop us from visiting the one in Mankato, MN! That one is great! read more

Worst service I've ever gotten. It was my first time here and I went with a friend, and we were meeting two more people. Anyways my friend and I were the first to arrive and told out server we had two more joining us, and we ordered our drinks. We waited almost ten minutes- no drinks, not even waters. Our friends get there, they order drinks- 30 minuets later- we finally get our drinks. Keep in mind there are like two other tables in the whole restaurant. It's NOT busy! Then we are ready to order, I ask the server a question about one of the dishes and she says "I'll go ask" and never comes back. We waited almost 20 more minutes and finally ordered. The food came out pretty quick, and the food was pretty good. But one of my friends was missing half of what she ordered! I waved down the server and once again she said "I'll go check". I finally went up to management and explained that I worked in the food industry and I understand that things happen but we were just upset with our server and he comped ALL our meals. It was a very nice gesture and we were about to just forget the crappy service. The waiter comes back with the check and we explained that the manager took care of it and she ARGUED with us! Strike 3, lady. She actually told us that she gave us good service and we should pay her. We told her the service was slow and that's why we talked to management and she said that she assumed we wanted slow service "since it was lunch". ......30 minutes for water isn't called slow, that's called ridiculous. Went to red Lobster for the first time last July for my birthday. I had the Crab Lover's dream, and oh,what a dream it was! Sweet, tender North American snow and king crab legs (which they shelled for me!), and creamy, delicious crab linguini Alfredo. The staff was cheerful, friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The bathrooms were spacious and very clean. I will most definitely be coming back fro Lobster Fest! read more
