Visited this place for a Friday happy hour. I honestly haven't been here in well over a decade! However, since I heard about the Cajun boils I thought let's give this spot another shot! It was pretty empty when we arrived and we were seated immediately. The Good: Our happy hour drink (Tito's lemonade I believe) didn't have much alcohol, however, the manager gave us an extra shot in our drink which we greatly appreciated! Fantastic service on his part! I liked that he came out and explained how he can accommodate us with our drinks! Areas of Improvement: We had the Sailors Seafood boil - Cajun Original Wayyyyyy too spicy! We enjoy a mild Cajun flavor so this did not really appeal to us Lacked butter and flavorful seasoning Some of our red potatoes were not fully cooked and hard Some of the corn was also under cooked Potatoes and corn should melt in your mouth. I love my potatoes to be tender! We should not have to go home to finish cooking food. The shrimp were over cooked and tough. I took home the leftovers to see what I could do with this meal. This bag was full of oil not a good seasoning just oil. Recommendations: Make sure all of the food is tender! Please do not overcook the seafood! The Cajun original seasoning needs some serious work. There should be a mild buttery Cajun flavor option Add some butter to your boils not just a bunch of oil Make sure to be a bit more generous with the alcohol in the happy hour drinks! We experienced a long wait, approx 15mins, before being greeted by a host, despite only two people ahead of us. There were people but also a lot of empty tables. After we had sat down, there was another delay before our server came to take our drinks & appetizer order. Another long wait to order our entrees. While our appetizers arrived promptly, our entrees took about an hour to reach the table. Unfortunately, when the food did arrive, we noticed that we didn't have cutlery & had to wait an additional 10 mins for that, which was quite irritating. While our server was attentive & did her best, the overall pace of service felt slow & disorganized. I had been looking forward to dining at this restaurant, inspired by fond memories of Red Lobster from my time in Northern Michigan, but this visit did not quite meet those expectations. The clam chowder was somewhat watery & lacked the robust flavor we were accustomed to. My mahi fish was overcooked, resulting in a dry texture. Margarita seemed a bit diluted. While there were patrons present, the ambiance felt subdued. Some tables were not cleared promptly after guests left, which was a bit of an eyesore. We waited almost 15 minutes before one of us got up to talk to someone at the front that a server have not yet come to our table when other tables had been greeted and orders taken. No Biscuits brought out to our table for 15 additional minutes because they were out in the kitchen. No popcorn shrimp for kids menu. After almost 25 minutes our order was taken. 2 kids Mac and Cheese, one order of shrimp. Grilled Shrimp Skewers over Rice, Ceasars Salad and Fully Stuffed Lobster Baked Potato. Waited a minimum of 30 minutes for our entrees to be served. Food was lukewarm to almost cold. It must have gotten lost in the kitchen. I think I have said enough regarding our experience. Well, red lobster reached out to me about my previous dine in experience at the restaurant and that I was disappointed so they compensated me with a $50 gift card to give it another try. It was worse than it was the first time I would've rather for it to been the way. It was the first time just with a little just a little seasoning and little more butter sauce, and a few more potatoes but what you all did was absolutely horrible So I did and I got the Cajun seasoning spicy and it was absolutely horrible. I believe that they use the walkers Jamaican seasoning , and from the texture of the sauce and the way it looked and the way it taste. I know that is Walker's Jamaican seasoning, no doubt about it. It was nothing Cajun about that sauce. it was so vinegary, I couldn't even enjoy it. I would've just took it back, but I just don't feel like driving back over there and all this traffic on a Saturday evening. I just don't feel like it so I'm throwing it away . They did give you more potatoes. I couldn't add extra shrimp. I just I couldn't enjoy it because it was just full of muck And you can tell by the picture!!!!!! I tried to give you all another chance and it's just absolutel horrible. Thursday night @6:15. Prompt greeting and seating. Very slow approach. Ordered a fish sandwich with a baked potato (instead of fries), and a Southwest shrimp bowl. Was served fish and chips instead of the sandwich. We kept it because we didn't want to wait. We were charged for the fish and chips which was more expensive. Granted we ate the wrong entree, but we didn't order it. In my opinion, we should have paid for what we ordered. Both entrees were delicious. Service was bad. Nice guy, but bad job. Example...we asked for malt vinegar for the fish. By the time we got it, there was virtually no fish left. I typically never really eat at red lobster but, I was gifted a gift card for them on my birthday! What a waste it would be if I didn't put it to use. I just wanted something nice and easy before I headed home. I ordered the shrimp linguine along with an order of a half dozen biscuits. I ordered online and my food was scheduled to be ready at 5:11 pm, I arrived at the restaurant at 5:21 and I got my order at 5:31 pm. Do what you want with that information! However, the food was hot and fresh when I got it! After approximately another 15 minutes to get home my food was still pretty hot. The pasta was tasty, but it was kind of tough to swirl it up with my fork. The biscuits were good as always, I have some leftover and I'm tempted to go warm them up now! Once upon a time, we eagerly embarked on a seafood adventure at Red Lobster, dreaming of crab-stuffed shrimp and legendary crab cakes. Spoiler alert: our dreams sank faster than a rock in the ocean. After 15 minutes of perusing a menu so sparse it made a desert look lush, a different waitress from another section heroically appeared to rescue us from our dilemma. Turns out, Red Lobster decided to put its hats--and presumably everything else--into the steamer pot basket. Very little shrimp, and their crab fest selection is basically snow crab legs: the lost leader of Hooters (at twice the price). We started with drinks. My husband ordered a Blue Moon, but surprise--out of stock! The waitress, a shining beacon of friendliness, announced the news with the kind of grace usually reserved for bad news on a sinking ship. Then came the ordering chaos: I longed for the You Pick Shrimp with double shrimp scampi, but nope, that's gone--eplaced by something that involves Alfredo and a side of disappointment. Instead, I got fried shrimp, and called it a day. I wanted a side salad, but the waitress noted that the salad was a "a little sad" at this point in the day- so I opted for fries. After waiting about as long as it takes to watch a long film, our food finally arrived. The kids' Kraft mac and cheese looked perfectly innocent--no surprises there. My fried shrimp and fries? Same frozen stuff as in my freezer, just with a sprinkle of Tony's, which ironically is more exciting than the actual food. My husband's Lobster Bisque was a pink, watery broth with more color than substance. The waitress, who clearly deserved a medal, explained it was a "new recipe." I've had better bisque from a can, and at least that one doesn't come with a side of betrayal. We sent the bisque back. Then, the pièce de résistance: the "free" strawberry cheesecake for our troubles. It looked huge and promising until we realized it was covered in a suspiciously sticky strawberry sauce and... frozen solid. My husband, armed with a steak knife, performed a thawing ballet while I contemplated the culinary universe's cruel sense of humor. Long story short? Red Lobster, you've successfully berthed your reputation as a seafood fortress of disappointment. Came here on a Saturday for a friend's birthday. She had put her name down for the wait list online and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. It was super packed. The waiter apologized for the food being behind, but we thought everything came out on time. We enjoyed the drinks and their amazing mouth watering chedder biscuits. I feel so bad for this franchise. This evening's visit was a huge disappointment, all of which could have been avoided with a competent manager overseeing the operations. We were seated right away, but waited, and waited to be waited on. (Mind you wait staff was interacting with the three surrounding tables, no eye contact, no smiles, no offers to help.). Just before we were about to leave, a waitress appeared. It was then that we ordered drinks, our appetizer and meal all at the same time ( we had plenty of time to review the menu-a many times over). We got our biscuits and my water, but no drink for my spouse. We got our appetizer, no drink for my spouse, I had to flag down the server to ask for it. I say I feel bad because other than the lack of a caring staff, the food was okay. The only time we were checked on was when the waitress and I made contact when she was leaving the bathroom. We had to ask for to-go containers twice, and we're not asked if we wanted desert-an epic fail from my waitressing days. If they were short staffed or busy, I would have plenty of empathy. This was not the case. At this point they appeared to have more staff than tables with patrons! There appeared to be a manager laughing it up with the staff and smiling at her phone. Perhaps if she or any of them were paying attention, they would have saw the beer sitting at there station for 15 minutes. Or that they had a customer not being waited on, or that they had a waitress that obviously either needs training or doesn't want to be there. We've decided, we are NEVER going back. Very disappointed in our last dinner at the red lobster on Rt 59 in naperville /aurora. It's my brothers favorite restaurant so we typically take him there . Last week, the hostess could have cared less about seating us. When she did, no server ever appeared and my husband had to get up and ask the server whose station was on the other side about who was taking care of us. ( there were people seated and eating already around us) she actually apologized and got us our drinks and took our order . Later , our server did care for us the remaining time. TERRIBLE SERVICE. On a slow Tuesday night we waited 40 minutes for a table. This was mainly due to the incomplete young red haired girl trying to be a hostess. My parents and I come here fairly often because everyone can agree on seafood (and it's an easy gluten-free choice for me). There are also frequently coupons or specials if you want to try something new! The menu is huge and it changes every time we're in, so you may have to do a little reading. It's nice that they list the calories of each dish in case you're counting. I always love the crab legs, and you can't go wrong with shrimp scampi. I must say that at this location staff is always really friendly and helpful. Often the manager will check in during the meal. Overall, a great chain choice if you're on 59. read more

I'm done with Red Lobster. I started coming to this location after bad experiences at the Bolingbrook location (poor service out of items on the menu, etc). Today I came in with my wife for dinner. We waited at the door for over 5 minutes before someone showed up to seat us. After being seated we waited another 10 minutes for the waitress to say she will be right with us. After another 5 we were able to order. They were out of the beer I ordered so I had to choose something else. After about 10 more minutes we got our drinks. We chose a salad which is now a "premium" side for an extra charge with our entrees. We waited about 25 minutes before our entrees arrived. We had never received our salads. The waitress apologized and said the manager would stop by. The manager stopped by and stated that he was sorry, but they ran out of salads. He said we would not be charged but did not seem to care about the situation at all. Our bill showed that we were not charged the extra charge, but we received nothing for the fact that we were shorted one side each. While, everyone else got their appetizers, and their meals, I continue to sit there with my family waiting as everyone else was enjoying their appetizers and meals. Wow!!! I think I am more upset wit the disregard that was given when we attempted to contact the restaurant. Now as you can see per the picture the order was not properly packaged by Red Lobster, all of the Scampi sauce was spilled all over the containers as they did not have lids in them as they should have. When my order arrived via a 3rd party, I had dry sauce-less shrimp and soggy fries.. The crew member I spoke with basically passed the blame over the 3rd party delivery service, but failed to acknowledge or even apologize for the poor packaging.. We were pleasantly surprised at the excellent service by Javi at the Red Lobster on Rt 59 in Naperville. His service was excellent. Pleasant smile and greeting , gave us time to look at the menu, attentive but not too over powering. We ordered the New England Lobster tails which were cooked just right and delicious.
