One of the best tap lists in the Sound region. Killer dogs and excellent , knowledgeable wait staff. Fast service and a vibrant vibe. The Red Hot is a must hit place and it has a ton of vegetarian options

Extensive rotating beer list. Weekly dog specials. Efficient service in a dive-ish type of environment. Our group had a few different dogs and everyone enjoyed them. Poppy seed bun on the dogs is a nice touch.

Delicious food! Highly recommend if you love hot dogs! They also have nachos, burgers and other apps Always a great selection of beer/cider Service has always been friendly and helpful and attentive. Not a huge place but we had a party of 13 that came in on Saturday around 6ish and thankfully got the big table right in the middle perfect for our size! High top tables mostly with a few seats lower to the ground.

The Red Hot is one of the most notable bars on the 6th Ave strip and it's easy to see why. Vibes are always super chill, the bartenders have always been nice when I've been in, and it's overall a great spot to grab a quick drink. My fiance says the hot dogs here are amazing, and giving a quick look at the menu, you can see it's their THING. I love a good hot dog so I'm disappointed to say I haven't eaten here yet, but it's definitely on my list! Super solid spot to grab a drink to start the night on 6th Ave!

Delicious food, served quickly, attentive staff, and a great place to hang out. Adults only bar. Love the signs there. Never had anything I did not enjoy. Try the whole menu

Well, hot dawg! If you're a fan of hot dogs and sausages, this is the place to be. I stopped here for lunch and had a nice meal and good sour beer on a semi-rainy Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too crowded inside and I sat a the bar. They also have some other booths and high top tables, with plenty of beer selections and an array of dogs and other food to choose from. I got the Rainier Rueben which had 1000 Island Dressing, spicy brown mustard, swiss cheese, and sauerkraut. It came loaded up and I ate some of my kraut with the fork that I was given and definitely needed with this messy but delicious hot dog. The dog itself had a great snap, so you know it's good. It was a hefty yet tasty meal all on its own that I really enjoyed. Service was just fine, nothing to write home about but got the job done. The bathroom was a large unisex one that had a big chalkboard inside that I had to take advantage and write a fun message on, too. :)

all the tap handles on the ceiling pretty fun to look at

Very cool if you like hot dogs. SO many different kinds it's hard to choose from. I am a relatively small eater and could've ate 1.5 dogs so for the larger eaters I'd recommend two dogs for a meal. service was friendly and quick. Lots of beer to choose from! they have different specials every day of the week and even veggie friendly options. Loud and bar and grille type vibe. since it's street parking, parking is always an issue in this area, especially during peak hours. but you may always get lucky! I'd def come back!

Omg omg omg! Best burgers. Just simple and delicious. Service is great, and fast. Table service and they have great draft selection. I was dreaming of a perfect burger and they delivered. THANK U

Came here because I was craving a hot dog, I love a normal chili cheese dog, but there were so many to choose from! Ended up getting one with Mac and cheese on it, and it did not disappoint! Friendly staff and servers, the ambiance is your normal dive type bar but clean and quiet. Definitely recommend others to try it out, can order one of the beers with your food and watch the game on tv or just hang out.

Michael C.

Very good hotdogs, good snap, excellent flavor for the dogs them selves. I did find the Mac and cheese dog a little underwhelming and bland, but a little hot sauce made up for it. I also enjoyed their selection of NA beers. The black something or other was *chefs kiss. Prices are pretty good too. The only thing I found disappointing was the Frito pie, mostly cause the nacho cheese was flavorless. I will say the place definitely has a hipster vibe, which isn't necessarily my flavor, but I can see the appeal and will definitely stop in next time I need a good hot dog.

Is outside food allowed?

I wouldn't think so since they're a craft brew and restaurant.

Do they have gluten free options for bread etc?

I don't know. I haven't paid that close attention.

Open for pickup currently?

Yes they have curbside pick up.

Is there a/c?

Yes, always comfortable inside.

Are kids allowed? I want to eat there this morning but I got the kiddos

Yes

Do they do growler fills here?

They do refill the growlers they sell

I'm 99% sure it didn't have croutons buried in the middle, but she freaked out that her fork hit something crunchy and hard. Was most likely bacon but whatever. (The bacon was cooked too crispy perfection visually). She lost it. He didn't argue and had her another one made with the bacon on the side. Kuddos to him. While I fully sympathize with her concerns with gluten, she didn't fish out an actual crouton to show. The 3 cheese burger is absolutely a must! Personally I recommend salt and vinegar chips with it... Great mocktail options and they were happy to make anything off menu for me! Parking is tough but 100000% recommend checking this place out.

I met Jessie and Camille amongst sweet people. So very friendly. Their food options were special. I'm a big fan of breweries, especially those with several drinks on draught or tap, and if they're really good, I'll buy them in a bottle. However, I read their review and noticed that they had vegan and vegetarian options, so I thought, "You know what? That's a combination I can't resist. Beers with a delicious sandwich!" A few days later, I made plans to visit on Saturday, which happened to be one of the two days this year that it snowed in the Pirec. It was quite amusing with the parking and the snow that stuck everywhere. As soon as I walked in, the bar was buzzing with energy. It had a great vibe. I didn't think I'd get any seats, but I managed to snag one at the bar with a very friendly person. I spent all but about 3 to 4 hours there. The sandwich I ordered was called the Rainier, and it was mentioned in the review, but the name wasn't revealed. It consists of a field roast loaf, Chao vegan cheese, herbed vegan mayonnaise, tomato, red onion, and arugula on sourdough bread. I'm not a big fan of mayonnaise, even if it's vegan, so I swapped it out with some pesto-style creamy cheese, and it turned out even better than I expected. The sandwich was a perfect five out of five. I would definitely order it every time I come. It came with a side of chips, which was a great addition. The sandwich was massive, so I could only eat half of it. I took the other half home for the next day. For my beers, I'm a big stout-and-porter guy, so I went with the Fort George's. They had two options: the Salted Caramel Cavatica & Matryoshka Vanilla. Both were exceptionally flavorful and probably my favorite porters I've had in all of Washington and many other states. Unfortunately, they ran out of the Salted Caramel Cavatica, so I ended up drinking the Matryoshka Vanilla for the rest of the night and didn't mind at all. Overall, I had a fantastic time at this place. I'm definitely going to make it a regular stop in my monthly rotations around Tacoma. Highly recommend stopping by this place. It's definitely a five. Service is amazing, and the drinks are worth the trip. They have an array of options, which is what I love about this place. Until next time!

That said, there are a few things that could be changed to make this a much more comfortable place to hang out: 1. Replace the bar stools. Every stool seat tilts forward at what feels like 45 degrees and when I take my feet off the bar foot rest I always feel like I'm going to fall forward. 2. Bring back the regular 4-top tables in the front area. The low height living room furniture there currently is uncomfortable and impractical for a small indoor beer bar. 3. Center the TV over the bar instead of having it tucked into the corner of the back of the room. I hope 3 stars isn't too harsh, but these issues are what keep my wife and I from going here more often

We felt like it was an improvement actually. We have been here twice now since the changes and it definitely generates more motivation to go over there. We have had a few very tasty lighter beers since on the first visit. On the second we had a great Black IPA called Nightmare 21. Black IPA'S aren't super common so we get them when we can.
