I first came in because of an offer for a first class free. My rep showed me how everything worked, including the heartbeat monitor on the arm band, which they give you for free on your first visit. An instructor walked me around the studio explaining the class format and made sure I was comfortable with water and a towel. When class started he periodically checked in with me but was not overbearing. I loved how while everyone worked out individually, seeing everyone's stats on the screen did make it feel like a team effort. I really appreciated learning about the different heart rate "zones" and later did research on this when I got home. My sales rep explained the pricing tiers yet was not pushy which I appreciated and I signed up within the week. The app made it very easy to book, see stats, etc. The club has fun challenges each month and really does have a sense of community. It was always clean and you can tell instructors here really care about the members. I only quit because I ended up moving to another neighborhood but this gym truly did change my physique while I was a member, making me stronger and noticeably had an impact on my cardio endurance. I'd recommend this gym to anyone.

They gave a free water and towel which made me feel welcome. Lockers don't need a lock so it's convenient and shampoo/hairdryers in the women's lockers. The hip hop and rock music was great to push through the workout. Since there were no phones allowed and the biometrics on the screen, you got to focus on your personal goals without distractions. The coach offers corrections, but for the most part it's at your own pace. I already recommended to a friend.

Although it's not a CrossFit affiliate anymore, the programming is still pretty typical for what you'd find at a CrossFit gym. The gym space and facilities are about what I've experienced at other NY gyms. The membership fees are good value and the class sizes are small enough to get focused coaching and fun camaraderie. This gym is truly a welcoming environment and I'm very grateful to be part of the community.

The coaches give you lots of individual attention and place really strong emphasis on form - it almost feels like having unlimited access to a bunch of really great, well-credentialed, and patient personal trainers. I never thought I'd willingly get up at 5am several times a week, but here I am, absolutely jazzed to get 6am ass-kickings several times a week.

Like a few other commenters, I supplement my training with other activities like walking/running, etc. I could probably benefit from class pass or something else, but at the moment my schedule is only really suited for a twice a week thing. That being said, if you're like me and can only do this training as your means of working out, you WILL still see great improvements. I also do love the solo sessions verse being around other people who are watching you sweat and grunt in weird positions...unless you're into that.

The environment at the gym is like nothing i have ever experienced, everyone is super friendly and willing to help you learn the lifts. The classes are diverse and range from - traditional CrossFit, Pilates, hiit, mobility, and Olympic style weightlifting. I've never been fitter than when I've been at F45, even with the virtual workouts. There's a real sense of community/family here and the instructors/trainers absolutely rock. That's the reason I keep coming back. I've tried other F45 studios but the Park Slope location has the best staff by far.

Gashford's training sessions mix Muay Thai and regular weight lifting with some cardio. In only a couple months, I feel much stronger and have noticed increased focus and energy during the day after each session. He also has helped with meal planning and explains the science behind his workouts which i really appreciate. I've never really seen more than 10-15 people in the facility at a time, and as someone who hates big gyms, it's a super welcoming environments for complete newbies like myself. Upon taking a tour and listening to my goals, SevenBell placed me with Sergio who is a mobility expert and has experience training people with disabilities. In the last 7 weeks working with Sergio, I've gained more than just muscle, I've gained confidence in my body and the strength I have inside and out. When it comes to classes the gym has a hot yoga space, a cycling space, a barre/zumba/strength training space, as well as the turf which I mentioned above. There's something for everyone. If you want to just jam out on a peloton bike by your lonesome - have at it. Want to sweat to your hearts content? Get on an open stairmaster or do a solo lifting session with an open top quality squat rack. Seriously, you have options. Seeing as it's January, it's crazy packed during rush hour times but try coming on off hours if you're a member or interested in getting a tour of the gym. Sure, the noise level can be super annoying when there's a class being held on the turf but nothing noise cancelling headphones can't handle. Oh, and the steam room is dope. Love doing this after a super hard workout. All in all - don't sleep on this gym.
