Sesame chicken

This was our first time visiting and we had a great experience. Customer service was great, food was hot and fresh and the portions were huge. We dined in and it's worth mentioning that the restaurant itself was also very clean. We'll definitely be coming back!

This is fried rice???

Truly the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. The combo lo mein was incredibly flavorless. The meat was barely perceptible as beef and chicken. The shrimp were ok but weirdly breaded. The only good thing about this was that the broccoli was obviously fresh. The steamed dumplings tasted like they were made from frozen, straight out of a bag from the freezer at an Asian grocery store. At a little over a dollar per dumpling, I could have bought the entire bag and been much happier heating it up in my hotel room microwave. The side of fried rice was an absolute joke. It was literally white rice that had soy sauce dumped on it. I could have done that myself. Complete waste of $5.80. If this food had been free, I would have chosen to go hungry. I only ate it because I spent $40+ on it. I'd like to say that at least my order was ready quickly, but I don't think that is a good thing in this instance. Please learn from my mistake and don't waste your money here.

Sushi with hair

Sushi was good but I had a piece that had hair on it. Kinda gross. I guess I have to add 18 more characters but don't really know what else to say other than my sushi had hair in it

QuckNDirty: Good food, fast and friendly service, Clean'ish facility, location in multi-unit building, fountain drinks, fresh tea, fast casual Review: This is located in a multi purpose shopping center in Madison right off Wall Triana. They serve everything from Bento Boxes to Sushi. Their sushi, everytime I had it, has been fresh and delicious for such a small hole in the wall. Their service has been very friendly and their food has been very delicious compared to a lot of of Chinese restaurants around town. Parking can be a little difficult during weekday lunch hour but all other times its okay. Should You go: Most definitely. It is a good place to eat What should I try: If you want to start with something simple, get the the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box. You'll get Chicken, Rice, Salad, a california roll and some Edamame. Kids Review: We love it!

Teriyaki Beef & Shrimp

Great food, great price. HUGE menu! Been coming here for years and always enjoyed their food. The owners are extremely nice and it is a locally owned business!

They used to have the best Crab Rangoon in the area. For $16, I just had the worst Crab Rangoon in my entire lifetime! It had a runny center, and the nastiest tasting food I've had in awhile. I took one bite and had to throw it away. That was not crab Rangoon. I can not speak of any other items on the menu, but I was severely disappointed!! Save your money!!!!! I mean what is this supposed to be?!?

Sushi Menu
Gina L.

We have tried every Chinese restaurant in Madison, and this one is our favorite. Get the steamed dumplings and crab rangoon. Their sushi is good also. One thing I'd advise however is if you're getting take-out, say no soy sauce because the little soy sauce cups always turn over so just ask for it in packets when you get there.

Fantastic flavor and very fresh vegetables. The spicy shrimp are perfectly cooked as is the chicken. I'll definitely be back soon.

Helpings were generous, but flavor was below expectations. Fried wontons were soggy, not crisp. Hoped for better

Nearby Chinese restaurant to the hotel we were staying at. Turned out to taste great at a fair price and good sized.

The California Rolls were well made, tasty, and satisfied my desire to drown them in wasabi. I love wasabi. 5/5 The Chicken Mei Fun was delicious as always. 5/5 Moo Goo Gai Pan had a variety of fresh vegetables stir fried with chicken breast. The mild flavors tickled my palate after my wasabi dive! 5/5 Black bean noodles, aka Jjajangmyeon was delicious. My only complaint was it didn't taste quite as good as the first time I ate them at Four Leaves. They were saltier this time but not so salty I couldn't eat them. If you read my reviews, I do not care for food with too much salt. The noodles were great and I will buy them again. 5/5 The nice manager from my previous visit still works there too! The staff was nice and timely in responding and checking on the table. The tiger roll was really good! Love a good roll with shrimp tempura and eel sauce. The fire mountain was okay but not my favorite. I didn't expect the salmon to be cold maybe the picture was deceiving and I don't read the description well. The red fish was okay. Lightly breaded not really seasoned in my opinion but cooked almost perfectly. It was a pretty display how they batter and fry the skeleton but the sauce that came with it compensated for the lack is seasoning on the fish. General Tso's chicken never disappoints. Classic Chinese dish over sticky rice was really good and the broccoli was steamed to a great texture. Overall good experience here. Never had a bad meal or service from this place.

I'm in town for work and love trying new restaurants. I saw good reviews for this restaurant and…read morethat it was Studio Ghibli inspired and knew I had to try it out. The exterior alone is adorable! A traditional Japanese building with little figurines and even a large Totoro in the garden. It felt whimsical and nostalgic. I was seated right away and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, checking in without being intrusive. The owner even stopped by each table to make sure everything was perfect but didn't linger too long. I started with the takoyaki, and it was one of the best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and the octopus was tender. The sauce and bonito flakes were just the right amount. For my entree, I ordered the curry chicken katsu lunch special, which comes with a soup or salad. I chose the miso soup since it was cold out and it was absolutely the right choice. The katsu was perfectly crispy and paired beautifully with the rich Japanese curry. I especially loved the big pieces of mushrooms and onions in the curry. Before heading out, I ordered a lychee green tea with boba and lychee jelly to go. The boba was perfect and didn't get tough sitting in the cold drink like some places. 10/10 would go back and would recommend to anyone who is looking for an authentic and fun Japanese restaurant.

The beef bulgogi that I cooked was okay... I've had better elsewhere, but maybe that's because I'm not a very good cook and may have grilled it too long. The lemon chicken was also ok, but I probably cooked too long and I only ate a couple of pieces because server warned me I should use scissors to cut chicken to make sure it gets cooked enough inside, and, well... I got to feeling anxious about if I was undercooking or overcooking it, so I gave up. The salad was meh, and I didn't like the look of the cucumbers (they looked brownish, not fresh) so left them untouched. At first, I thought the restaurant itself looked nice... but then I noticed that the tables and floors were not the cleanest, and walking back to the restrooms, I passed a kitchen or prep area that had several puddles of water on the floor. It did not help me feel comfortable. It's a large restaurant, but there were only a few patrons inside during the height of rush hour. I should have been more observant before I sat down. Overall, I really wanted to like the place and a positive is that the Korean music videos on the TVs were very enjoyable, but unfortunately once I got to feeling "ick", I just couldn't shake that feeling. Once again, that's probably more a reflection upon me as someone who does not enjoy cooking, even at home, so please take this review with a grain of salt. Your experience may indeed be much better than mine, especially if you possess a more open and adventurous cooking spirit :)

Came with my family hoping to replicate the experience on Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm. Place was mostly empty and we were promptly seated. Ordered off the hibachiunch menu and wete brought our soups or salads. Took about 15 minutes for the chef to come out and start making out food. It was a much younger guy and he was not into it. He had an airpod in and was on a 9 way video call of some sorts with his phone on the food cart. He did a little perfunctory interaction with the kids and spatula whacking/egg balancing/fire column at the beginning and then just proceeded to cook out food and mutter into his call. Kinda off putting and definitely a much poorer experience than my first time here. My family liked the food -- we got steak and chicken, chicken, and shrimp hibachi. Portions were all very large. I loved my steak and thought the chicken was dry, veggies a little hard but my half Asian wife thought everything was good so maybe it was just my unhappiness with the chef. I'll probably try again, but maybe go during a more prime time when hopefully the better chef is cooking.
