Just to preface, I waited a few days to see if my haircut would grow on me but the more I sat with it the more it didn't make sense. Went in for a chop since my hair was quite damaged and asked for thinning and layers. I was recommended Sarah and while she was cutting I felt like I could trust her since she said she had 15 years of experience. I left with what looks somewhat like a mullet because I have a bob that doesn't flow into my longer hair whatsoever. The layers don't make sense, which can be seen in the layering of the bangs. Bottoms were left blunt, which I specifically asked not to have when I went in. This place has an answering machine that tells you to leave a message, but they never call back Although not directed, you have to go to website to learn each operator is independent; and you have to contact them via phone or email. i am so happy i was finally able to snag an appointment with Megan. I had been a fan of hers for YEARS, but her schedule is always packed! (Reasonably so!). She really listened to me when i explained what i was going for. She didn't try to sway my opinion to something a little different. She asked the appropriate questions too- to make sure she really had a sense of my hair goals. She was so friendly and easy to talk to, and she was so detailed in her work. She was very precise and most importantly- neat. I left with zero smudges of dye on my forehead/hairline! i have never loved my hair (cut and color) so much before!! I decided to brighten up my hair for Spring and reached out to Megan. She was super responsive and was able to find a time that fit my schedule right away. On the day of the appointment, I explained to her what I had in mind for my hair. She asked a lot of questions and provided me with multiple options. I ended up doing an ash brown color balayage that's easy to maintain. Megan also added babylights to the top of my hair to add a natural transition for the balayage. The end result was beautiful-- it looks very natural and has dimension like I wanted. Megan is great at listening to clients' needs so book with her and you'll get the color you want! read more

Writing this review, I truly wish there was a better word than "stylist" because it just doesn't do Remy and his work justice. I have been going to Remy for about two years now and always walk out the door thrilled. Remy is so totally engaged when working on his clients that after only a few visits I barely had to ask for what I wanted anymore, and my hair always turns out even better than I expect. I went to Remy at Red Feather for the first time in January. It was one of those situations where I woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and thought to myself "How long has my hair looked like this!?" I know all you work-a-holics out there can relate (maybe it's not your hair, but there is something). The last time I'd had my hair cut was Election Day 2016. I'd taken my hair from long luscious locks to a chin length bob. Impulsive and exhilarating, cute for the first two weeks while it was "new", and then shocking once the newness wore off and I realized that I'd cut 10"+ off. I was determined to get the length back. Unfortunately, work got in the way of life, and I went over a year without getting even a trim. Which brings me full circle to that fateful January day when I shrieked at my reflection and call my old salon. My old stylist, also happens to be the salon owner, was slammed and did not have an opening for two weeks. My hair on the other hand could not wait two weeks, so I took to my friends. I called that one girl who always has it together, including her hair. She suggested Remy, at Red Feather, whom she had been going to for longer than she'd been with her hubby. My friend made a text introduction and left the rest in Remy's hands. From the first exchange he was a delight. I begged to see him as soon as possible and he made himself available when an average salon would have otherwise been turning off the lights and locking the door. Remy listened to my sob story of long office hours and little personal time, what I wanted my hair to look like, and took the time to talk through what my hair needed to make it healthy again. My entire salon visit was a wonderful break from reality. Remy welcomed me like a long time friend, pampered me, and not only made me look sexy but made me feel beautiful. I went back after several years of not cutting my hair (a crime, I know!) to the very professional Lucy, who had been cutting my hair for years in the past. She is consistent and knows what I want and what I like. In the years that I have been going to Lucy she always cuts exactly the amount I ask for. It's taken years to grow my shoulder length hair so I always worry that more will be taken off, but Lucy is true to her word. I felt like a princess leaving the salon. I also left with a great leave-in shampoo from R + Co which smells good and is good for maintenance in between shampoos, freshening up those greasy roots. read more

My stylists is Michelle she is consistent on what she does to my hair , she study my hair love her. I love the fact that she is dependable with her knowledge of hair and style. Here is my story :( I came to Red Feather Salon on 11/11/17. I wanted to cut my hair and make the color look fresh. Remy suggested long bob style, highlights and toner at the end. I told Remy the story of my hair. I also clearly stated that I had Brazilian blow out 3 weeks earlier. After he cut my hair we started with highlights and later the toner. While sitting with the bleach on my hair the additional heat was applied to my head. The heat was very strong but at that time I thought this is how it supposed to be. After washing it off and putting the toner I got scared! My hair was FRIED! I was shocked. I told Remy that I don't like it but he pretended that is was supposed to look like this and whatever is burnt he can quickly fix by trimming it. When he was blow drying it I saw my hair falling out and breaking. I wanted to cry! He tried to fix it little bit but honestly there is not much you can do when your hair is BURNT. It looked horrible. I did not want to leave the salon like this. I asked Remy if we can fix it but he said it is too late to do it now. So I left the salon with the tears in my eyes and still was asked to pay $240 for the service. I could not sleep that night. I was devastated. I messaged Remy that I need to come back to fix my hair as I cannot go to work like this. He apologized for what happened and he said I can come on Sunday. Remy put the toner on my hair and trimmed again the damaged ends. I felt little better but sill I was very concerned because my hair was falling out a lot. Few days later I sent an email to Remy with the pictures of the damage that was still visible. He replied and apologized again. He offered to trim my hair again in 3 weeks. He tried his best to fix it during my second visit but my hair started falling out since then. I was scared that I will go bold. I could not sleep at night. I developed an anxiety. I was going through the most horrible hair experience in my life. My hair was always thick. I started doing research online about the reasons of my hair loss. While browsing the Internet I found the info that bleach SHOULD NEVER be put on KERATIN TREATED HAIR. So basically the bleach plus the extra heat that was applied to my keratin treated hair damaged my hair and also my scalp that is why I was loosing hair. It was getting worse. At first, I could not believe that this service could damage my hair so severely so I also went to the doctor for check up. I thought maybe in addition to all this stress that I am going through there is something else causing hair loss. All my tests were fine. Dr said the hair loss I related to the chemical treatment that was done at the salon as well as the stress that was associated with the accident. I let Remy know about it and also I requested his insurance company details to get reimbursed for the service that DAMAGED and BURNT my hair as well as for all the products, supplements and doctors' visits I needed to pay for after this hair accident. Remy emailed me back saying that nothing that he has done damaged my hair and he asked me "not to ever come to his place of business and sent me his lawyer's details. He cancelled my third appt but I still wanted to come to get my hair trimmed. He said that he will think about it. After few days he emailed me back and attached the Release Form form the lawyer which he asked me to sigh. I was shocked! I replied to Remy and asked him to cancel my next appt as I will not be able to sign the document. I did not agree to any terms included in the form. I wish 3 free haircuts which he offered in the release form would solve this issue and bring my hair back. I really wish! I picked Remy's salon as he assured that I will look fabulous. Here I am now. Little more than 2 months ago after the accident that happened in this salon with half of the hair on my head. Already spent almost $1000 to fight the hair loss. I lost half of my hair and whatever is left on my head is thin and brittle. Not sure how much more I will loose and if my hair texture will ever back to normal. Still hoping that it will. I wish I never came to Red Feather Salon... I want my hair back! :( read more
