So we went back and played The Gift. We really liked this game. The puzzles made sense. They were logical and intuitive. Our game master was Zach who gave us a couple of clues at just the right times. I highly recommend this room. It was a lot of fun! read more

We thought it was just OK. We did Prison and from the start we couldn't hear the introduction so it was hard to get in to the theme. There are multiple rooms but you do the exact same thing in each room...Soooo repetitive that we all sighed when we saw the final room was more of the same thing. One of the clues requires that you listen to the speaker, which we could not hear. Even after we got the clue to listen closely to each speaker we couldn't hear over the noise from the lobby and other rooms, making it impossible to complete. When you finish, there's no score. We thought we would get a score based on how much time we took or how many clues used but in the end none of that matters and you just leave. We would give the first room a 9/10 but the next room being the same thing was boring and the final room being the same thing again, combined with dollar store speakers, make it so the peak is the first room and it goes downhill from there. We would not recommend the prison room unless they get more creative...you literally do the same thing 5 times. read more

Only my second escape room experience, but this one was a lot of fun for a family of 5 across three generations. We did the Prison Break room, which was actually spread across 5 rooms and was a lot of fun with puzzles that were both physical and cerebral. It was 5 of us (two parents, a grandparent, a 10 year old, and a 7 year old) and there was enough to do at all times to keep everyone busy. The puzzles also weren't just linear, so you could spread out and have different people work on different things at different times. I liked the system for hints they had where you could press a button and then it would appear on the tv screen. Also, the hints were useful enough to keep us moving, but not so game-changing to make you feel like you cheated. It was just challenging enough to actually feel good about winning, but not frustrating. We escaped with just under 3 minutes left out of our 60 minute timer. The staff (Astro was our game master) were all friendly and helpful and seemed to enjoy starting us off and congratulating us on the win. read more

Our two groups arrived on time but it took a little bit to get started due to a delay from previous groups. It can get little loud and crowded with several groups in the lobby waiting. There were plenty of free lockers to stash items and a key on bracelets for convenience. Our groups were separated by about 10 minute start times but once we got in it was all excitement from then onwards! A chaperone does go into the room if bringing younger kids which is nice to observe the puzzles and see how they work together. Game hosts were really friendly with our group of kids and they were able to give us many hints to get through the room. I don't think we could have gotten as far without the clues. Even though we didn't escape one of the rooms; they debriefed on the remaining unsolved puzzles and that was nice. Thanks for such a fun time! read more

I liked the Once Upon a Time room - it's 6/10 difficult but I loved the decor and theme and loved trying out different things to figure it out. I can't wait to try the other rooms here! Staff were super nice and gave us goodies and a deal after we finished the room. Didn't even need to use the free hint too but that's there if you figure out their riddle. read more

I'm comparing the fair game room to every other escape room I've participated in. It's got a great theme to it and the puzzles are fun but there's a few issues. The biggest to me is that it felt very much procedural where a puzzle couldn't be solved until the previous puzzle had been completed. Our group of 7 was usually working on one puzzle to keep it going instead of each of us finding different clues and solving them to come together and unlock a box/door/etc. Again loved the mechanisms and what triggered them but would've liked the way they're completed to be a bit different. read more

Staff is super friendly and accommodating. The game master we had is not strict with hints unless we asked her and she let us try to figure some things out but helped us if we got really stuck. Some of the puzzle patterns were not very intuitive and I felt there should have been more guidance to create more of a flow because the solutions and abstractness to get to the puzzle solutions in some cases was too abstract. The room I did had a lot of hands-on features that worked well for kids and adults alike. I attempted to buy a gift card via Black Friday and forgot to apply the code beforehand. There is no refund and that is sadly standard but what really upset me was that the gift card had an expiration date at all (not much point in a gift card if you can't get discount and can wait until you can actually pay to pay) and I could not use multiple codes on my own for the same room unless I called or possibly emailed. read more

Went to Red Door last month during the Grand Opening Sale, so 50% off! I enjoyed the short trailer on the different rooms, prior to booking and liked the number of rooms available and time slots. We did the Prison Break as a family of 3, it was listed as Beginner but it was definitely challenging. The room was set up nicely and we got hints ... not sure if we would have made it out without them, but we barely got out, with seconds left. Anyway, the staff was super fun and helpful! Wish I could remember our Game Master's name. On the way out, I purchased a gift card, at a discounted rate. Although we plan on going back, I purchased it for my tween daughter to enjoy with friends at a later time! Highly recommend this place! read more

Gave it a 5/5, mostly for the staff! Aliyah and Adrianna (might be remembering the name wrong but both workers who wear glasses lol) were the most memorable and friendliest game masters we've ever had (and me and my gf have gone to plenty of escape rooms). Lost the first game (The Gift) but came back an hour later for a second game (Once Upon A Time) to redeem ourselves I will say the rooms are very unique, immersive, and creative. Now as for the puzzles themselves, (this is just a specific nitpick thing) we weren't the biggest fan of some of the puzzles as we realized we're definitely used to linear and intuitive ones. Now this might be fitting for you and your group; there's definitely a puzzle for every skill set and do believe the games are worth your money and time. Nonetheless, we will be back to complete all of their games! read more

Private room is nice. But the experience was marred by numerous issues: - Couldn't figure out 1 of the puzzles and was told after the fact "oh that one is broken" - Screen in room shows only 3 hints available; then after it was over we were told "oh you can have as many hints as you want" - Many "puzzles" are finding dark items in a dark room (don't go unless you have great night vision) - Some puzzles involve matching dark colors (don't go if you are color blind) - No explanation about the puzzles we couldn't figure out. Asking the staff results in a quick nebulous answer. :-( - Items being unlocked results in a jarring BANG from the solenoids (apparently they don't how to dampen that) read more

My family group went again for another room try. We were having so much fun in Fair Game that we hardly noticed that the operations room lost touch with us 4 times. We didn't need help we were so engaged. A walkie-talkie was run into us but it didn't ruin game play. We were given a major discount. I was shocked. We will be back. I can't say enough good things about this terrific escape room venue. You should definitely try it! read more

Located at Rio with plenty of free parking garages around. This is my 3rd escape room and comparatively speaking, the lobby was bright, new, and clean. Staff were friendly and talkative. They have several locations and everything was organized and planned well. I didn't realize these would be private rooms, my date signed us up for the Confinement room which is a 9/10 challenge level and I agreed cause I thought others would be there lol! We got unlimited hints, but we didn't realize how many rooms there were and seemed most of the puzzles were at the last room, so it was hard to gauge how often to ask for hints. Obviously we didn't escape lol, but the staff was nice enough to walk us through the rest of the puzzles and wow, it was a lot of neat things that I didn't do at my other 2 escape room experiences. Wish they allowed an option for people to join us vs private rooms, but overall a fun experience! read more

I have mixed feelings about this location. I did Fair Game and Confinement on 2 different occasions. One was enjoyable and one was very disappointing. Fair Game is a fun room, the puzzles flow nicely, are interactive and make logical sense if you're playing to solve instead of relying on clues. I'd recommend this room if you come here. However, the puzzles in Confinement doesn't make much sense. On some of them, you literally just have to blindly guess. Some of the clues in the room are also not very helpful. And the biggest disappointment was that the employees were playing Brent Faiyaz really loudly in the main hall that we could hear it through the door. I probably won't be back. read more

Outstanding experience from start to finish. I reserved and paid for the room 3 weeks ahead of time. It's a popular place so plan ahead! There were 6 people in my group - we all filled out our waivers ahead of time and emailed them back, so when we arrived all we had to do was wait for the Gamemaster to escort us to our room. We did the Confinement room which was a little spooky, but no jump scares and nothing over the top. The clues and puzzles were challenging and a couple were a little complex but we made it through! I've been to escape rooms in several different states and this one was by far the most well thought out and detailed. The "celebration button" at the end is a really nice touch. Plus all the rooms are private. You don't have to "share" the experience with other groups (who may not be a good fit with your group) and that's a huge bonus. Tips: wear comfy shoes. Potty ahead of time (but if you have to leave at any time for any reason, you can. You're not trapped) Assume EVERYTHING is a clue. Touch everything. Click everything. Assume nothing. And remember the theme of your room - that'll help you with clues. Your gamemaster is rooting for you and will provide you with clues if you get stuck. Have fun! read more

Our young kids did Prison Break escape room. In this escape room, a nut came out of the wall with a panel the kids unscrewed with a wrench in the room. Tossed out for excessive force because the nut came out? The kids removed the bolt with their hands and the spot in the wall and panel are worn around it. Nope, not an amazing experience. Expect this has happened to others. Sadly I would not recommend this experience if you are thinking about it. read more

We had a great time even though we didn't finish our escape. We got farther than most people do though. It was super fun!!

I booked the Once Upon a Time room with 5 adults who have all done escape rooms before. Room was nicely designed, classic escape room type puzzles. It took us 50 minutes to get out, but we had an issue with a piece of equipment not working and the game master took some time to realize this, so we burned some time trying to figure out a puzzle without the right information. We also had a 4 year old and two 2 year olds with us. Though the room was not scary (picked this one on purpose knowing we had kids coming), the 2 year olds did not enjoy being in a relatively dark room. The 4 year old loved touching and moving things around with the adults. I think if we had only adults and did not have the equipment malfunction, we probably would've made it out in 40 min or less. I love that this place lets you bring kids! Kids do still count towards your total people, but I was told they might have a little more leeway with the numbers for small children. I also love that Red Door's games are all private. It's hard to enjoy a escape room with people who you don't know and who might be at a different level of enthusiasm for it than you. Will definitely be coming back for the other rooms in the future! Although I'm told they don't rotate rooms or change them so I guess once you've done all the rooms, that's it for this location in terms of doing more games. read more

Would probably do 3.5 stars if possible - it's tough because the staff and overall environment is actually very good. But the staff brings it from 3 to 4. We have done a lot of escape rooms and generally try to do them without hints - however, the Once Upon a Time room was virtually impossible to do without getting assistance. There are some easy touches that could be made to make some of the puzzles a bit more logical or at least point you in the right direction without just trying something at random. Every puzzle should have some sort of reason behind it, even if very obscure - but unfortunately this room had a few random things you needed to do, and one of the random things you actually needed a second person to happen to be standing in a certain spot to see what's happening because the person doing the random thing can't see that it actually did something. Also, we had a certain mechanism right for well over 5 minutes in the beginning but it just didn't work, which was very frustrating because we kept trying to figure out what could be wrong and that was the only thing holding us back from continuing on. Assuming the game master was in charge of triggering it but just missed that everything was right. I also must say that we did the mini-escape room on opening night and it was very good. But unfortunately again we had a certain mechanism right that just didn't trigger for a few minutes. That can really take you out of the experience when that happens. So staff is A+, the rooms so far are a C- due to the puzzles but can easily be brought up to an A with some very minor tweaks so at least if you don't figure out something you can always say that you should have known if you looked at a clue closer, instead of just doing something randomly. read more

Zach was an amazing game master! My friend and I love puzzles and she saw the escape room was opening so we booked. We intentionally tried to pick the hardest one and it did not disappoint, we JUST couldn't get out on the last puzzle in the last minute lol. Unfortunate but I would say how close we were is a sign of how well balanced it was. The game master also gives hints if you ask, or if you're on the right track but made an error - say you counted 4 things instead of 5 - they'll ask you to count again, sparing you being stuck forever. The room was spacious with really fun props and items to interact with. Everything about this place was stellar, they've only been open a month and are already doing great! Definitely would recommend. read more

Don't waste your money!  The Red Door Escape Room was very disorganized and we were blamed for their incompetence. We did the Confinement room which was very cool but one of the puzzles had not been reset in the room which contained a mirror in the box. The mirror was cracked and we thought that was part of the nightmare theme. We completed the room and "escaped" but the game master didn't meet us when we finished. We just ended up leaving. Later we got a call from Andrew the manager that there was a broken mirror that he was charging us $5 for because we signed a waiver. Needless to say we told him we would not come back. Too bad because it could have been a great experience. read more
