I have not once had a bad experience here and I've been going to have my bi-weekly mani pedi's with Sue since Summer '18. The stations are clean and the massage chairs are fully functional. Not to mention, her nail polishes are trending and don't overwhelm me like other smallish nail shops. One thing that sets this place apart unlike others I have visited are the other customers. Everyone is really nice and seems to have a great rapport with the nail techs there. I have met up with two or so girls I've met and we continue to text one another. The prices are more than fair in comparison to the 100 other nail shop options within a five mile radius. The only reason why I did not give five stars is because the tv is always on a kids show; which is fine because her son is there BUT patrons should feel relaxed and even catered to. My wife and I have been coming here since it opened 9 years ago. Susan and her staff are outstanding and very thorough in our needs with manicures, pedicure's and facials. I love getting a pedicure especially when my feet are so dry and cracking. They always know what moisturizer to use. Also, It is great to get that foot massage. Today was my first facial in years. I bring my own nails tools in because I got fungus from using the nail tools at the shop. On more than one occasion, Susan has stolen my nails tools & lied about it! This is one of the worst nail Salons I've been too. First, the place was dirty, unorganized, with everything scattered about. I went in for a gel full set w/shellac polish and the owner (Sue) proceeds to manually file my already thin nails down to my flesh. She was soooo rough with her file I had little cuts all around my nails that hurt for days. I pointed this out to her and she said this is just her technique. Then, she starts doing a "dip" manicure on me which is not what I wanted and again she ignored my request and said this is all she does. I feel like this is something she should've mentioned when I called her prior to coming. I kept telling her that her technique left my nails very thin and they would break off. I was concerned about damage to my nail bed. She guaranteed they wouldn't... yet 2 fell /broke off a few days after. I was just unhappy with the whole experience. read more

I used to be a loyal customer of Susan's (the owner) for at least 4 or 5 years and brought her a lot of business through recommendations, but after COVID not sure what happened but the quality of service went down and her blaming her customers (not even me but hearing her speak to customers while getting my nails done) has went up. Susan is great when you are one-on-one but at as soon as a customer walks in the door she will start multi-tasking and doing other people's nails while doing yours. On multiple occasions, I have made appointments days or weeks in advanced, only to come to the chair and see that she will be doing both my nails and the lady next to me at the same time. I feel like I am getting a crappy rushed job, but at the same time am there longer because everything takes twice as long because she is constantly switching between customers. One time I walked in at 630 pm and I didn't leave until 9pm!!! Not exaggerating, this was just for a gel manicure! In this picture, I made an appointment for myself and for my aunt 2 weeks in advanced as we were going on a special trip and we went first thing in the morning. I told her what I wanted on the phone and when I got there she said that is not what I said on the phone. As a result, she rushed my manicure and I ended up with different shaped nails and painful cuts on multiple fingers. I am not one to complain and my pain tolerance is high, but this genuinely hurt for days which ultimately is what caused me to write this post. On that same visit, I got a pedicure which was also rushed and barley got any scrub on my legs. Barley any massage. Not worth the money if you want to pamper yourself or a loved one. I also always have to ask her to paint closer to the cuticle because she urually doesn't and within a week my nails look old and grown out. When we got back from my trip, a few months later I treated my mom to a pedicure and she got a cut so deep that my mom bled. The next day I took her to the ER because it was red, and swollen and infected. She was stuck in the hospital for days because she got an infection which turned into cellulitis with the risk of sepsis (bacteria in your blood). For the amount of money that you pay to get your nails done here, it is not worth to risk it to see if Susan will be in a rushed or quality mood. I have waited a while to make this post as I do not like to post negative comments about small businesses but I feel other people should be warned. I wish her all the best but I have been taking my business elsewhere and advise you to as well read more

Don't go. I have one nail extremely longer than the other. Went back the next day to have fixed and she wouldn't fix it because she was too busy. She asked me to come back later and I told her I couldn't because I am headed to the airport. No help. So now I go on my trip with weird nails. And when I had my manicure and pedicure, the girl who was helping me was working on other people at the same time. They made time for others yesterday, but couldn't make time to fix one nail. I've had nothing but positive experiences at this salon. I have gotten my nails done twice here and loved it each time (gel nail polish on my real nails). My current manicure has lasted me almost three weeks and I'm due for a new set. My only complaint is that theres usually only one person working at a time so walk in appointments arent possible half the time. I would recommend this salon as long as you are willing to call ahead and make an appointment. read more

This place is terrible and very bad customer service. They lie about their prices and made my friend toe bleed. Plus they took more money from her than every other salon. Came here again a couple weeks ago since my last visit was good. I couldn't wait for the pedi because of being home for so long due to Covid. I had Sue for a deluxe pedi. I was surprised they had no rules about wearing masks or social distancing. Two women sat next to each other and both didn't wear masks; they must've not prepared well for it because sue was telling her tech to space them out at that very moment. My biggest concern was the lack of professionalism during my service. Everything was going great at the beginning and the service was really good up until the lady near me, who was also getting a pedi, asked Sue if she can shave her feet. So while sue was massaging my legs she got up and switched techs so she can shave the other lady's feet. Sue is sweet but that was handled very unprofessional and I wished she handled that differently by either taking care of the customer after finishing with me or straight up telling her she couldn't. I was in such shock that I didn't even say anything.. I really wish I did so I'm hoping this review helps. Also When the other tech took over she was just doing a whatever job but she did switch out of no where and was just doing what the owner said so I didn't expect it to turn out. I really wanted to like this place which is why I gave them another shot and even returned for a third visit. BEWARE!!! So decided to schedule a mani/pedi on a Sunday - not many "nail salons" are open and I figure whatever, it's just a mani/pedi. Scheduled an appt, arrive early and the place is not really my kind of place. Outdated, cluttered, garbage choice of nail polish colors. No summer colors, dark and drab tons of ugly polish. Half used dried out disgusting bottles. Sit down for pedicure and it just went from bad to worse. The lady doing my pedi was looking all around more worried about who was walking in. She starts my pedi, my bff is getting a pedi next to me. The girl doing hers cuts her several times and she finally says "no more I'm done". The lady working on mine starts rushing through my pedi, don't even think she filed my nails. Massage was complete trash, she put the tiniest amount of scrubby stuff on my legs and does the most half ass massage I've ever had. Spends a total of 12 minutes on my rushed "pedi" as she keeps stopping to talk to customers who are walking in. Then she finishes my bffs pedi after the other girl butchered her toes. So what does she do next - she draws blood on my friends toe! Omfg u can't be serious b keep rushing through our pedis maybe you can just cut out toes off to save even more time. Thankfully I didn't get hurt like my pal, but the rushed half ass pedicure and crap dollar store nail polish barely covered my nails evenly. Never ever ever ever ever again. Do yourself a favor and go to a real nail salon where the practitioners care about their customers and the work that they do. LUV is a good one and Nail Addicts also nearby. This place is a disgusting stank a$$ boiler room operation - I'd be extremely shocked if they even have a valid nail license. This place is horrible. Never will I come back here. They did a sloppy job and refused to refund me for my service. The girl who did my nails worked there for approximately 3months and wasn't great at doing dip. She made a huge mess. Dropped the dip powder everywhere. Had powder all over my nails and didn't even clean it up. I will not ever come back to this. Also, the owner replied to tell me that based on my nail condition (which my nails were perfectly fine prior to coming here) the girl did her best. NOT TRUE. The girl did an awful job and knew it, which is why she admitted it and even searched in her purse and found cash to pay for it herself. Again, the manager wasn't anywhere around to even see what services I had or my nails prior to coming into this awful place. My mom and I went in yesterday with no appointment and we were greeted happily by the lovely ladies. After choosing our colors we soaked our feet in the massage bowl until they finished with their customers, it was nice having a few minutes to just soak! I have found my new nail salon, the prices are great, the staff was happy and so friendly, 700 colors to choose from, no acrylic smell and very cute and clean. They prefer cash but will accept credit cards which I will happily do next visit. No cons about this visit at all, our pedi's came out great and we felt good afterward. read more

I am extremely pleased with my experience at Red Design nails. There was only one review on Yelp, but it was nearby, so I decided to check it out. It was very clean! I went there over a week ago for a pedicure and shellac manicure. They have great products and so many colors to choose from. The prices are VERY fair. Between running, wearing heels, and teaching dance barefoot, my poor feet take a beating and I honestly think they are the smoothest they've ever been after a pedicure. My toes and nails still look great and I cannot wait to go back again! Vivian was very thorough when completing my services and while the owner, Susan, could have been cleaning up (it was near closing time), she sat with us to chat and it made me feel very welcome. Susan was running a promotion where every walk-in got a free paraffin wax hand treatment. Talk about silky-smooth. I didn't call ahead and there wasn't much of a line, but there was a steady flow of people coming in and out while I was there. I needed my nails done in a Sunday and this was the closest nail salon that was opened. Honestly during my appt i thought I would not like my nails. When she was done I was absolutely obsessed. The shellac lasted on my nails for 3 weeks which NEVER happens I've gone back 4 times since then I have tried a cpl of the girls there and have been happy each time. I stopped in at this nail salon because I know it's relatively new and I enjoy trying new places. The atmosphere was very nice and the gel color selection was impressive. I would say it's a little more on the pricey side last time I got a gel manicure at another salon it was $15, here it was $30, so if you enjoy getting your nails done on a budget this is probably not your "go to" but you are paying for quality as well. The one thing I do want to point out which I'm not sure if all the nail techs work the same but the nail tech I had put so many coats of everything including the gel color itself. Multiple coats makes a nail look larger, and in my opinion less feminine. This is especially true for women that have larger nail beds which includes myself. I think I can speak for many when I say we don't want them looking even larger. So I would just be advised when going to this salon to request what you would prefer ahead of time so you don't end up with chunky nails. read more

Gardening did my nails in and after working so hard at having a lovely length my nails had to be trimmed. I only get a manicure w/ polish and top coat. I brought my own color & my Seche Vite top coat (which is fabulous). Going in on a Sunday was a plus for me too! I had no appointment and was attended to with friendly smiles & quick service. Came Here on a Wednesday after reading great reviews. Came in for a brow wax and full set. Received a gel powder full set that feels light on the nail bed and Shellac polish, and the owner Susan, did a great job. Susan had so so many shellac colors to choose from that were very high quality. She is not super pricey either. She also carries high quality ORGANIC nail polish that is truly organic. The place was so super clean and had the feel of not the traditional nail salon. It was amazing and relaxing. Went back in two days later for a great pedicure.
