Kang Pao Chicken

This place offers authentic Chinese food! I felt like I hadn't had good Chinese food for a long while and this place delivered! The place looks unassuming from the outside (looks like a nothing store with poster plastered all over it in the Petroglyph Plaza, same area as Smith's on Golf Course). But inside is pretty welcoming! The only things were..I was dining with a friend..and we didn't get chopsticks (we both aren't Chinese)...but don't we deserve ones?!?! The dumplings took a while to come out..presumably because they were making them to order! Would love to be back some time again soon!

So amazing

I'm always on the lookout for a really good authentic Chinese restaurant, and the red chili House does it? I must say I enjoy the food when I come here the service isn't always that great but I don't know, maybe that is just the way the establishment is. The spicy tofu is out of this world the spicy boiled fish in red chili sauce made my day. I don't know what type of fish they use, but it melts in your mouth and is so tasty. Spicy beef is perfect has a good kick and if you ask for it to be even more spicier, they can do that. I do have to say, though whatever you try on the menu, you will like it.

"Werewolves Of London" "I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand.. Walking through the streets of Soho in the rain.. He was looking for the place called "Red Chilli"-Kitchen.. Going to get a big dish of Kung Pao Chicken.. "Aaoooooo..Aaoooooo!" Werewolves of London".. We settled in at the small comfortable.. "Red Chilli House".. for Mid Noon lunch. Our Chef Patronne greeted us with smiles.. We shared a most delish dish of Grilled Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, each bite was a nice kiss of sweet eggplant and garlic heat. It was accompanied w. Sides of steam rice and red chilli sauce.. Washed down w. Rain Water and Sapporo Beer. A fun Chinese Eatery worthy of repeat visits when done.. "I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's His hair was perfect Werewolves of London"..:) Best, Avram Zevon Jr.

This may be the most authentic Chinese I've ever had in NM, both food and service. I order the wonton in chili oil, a beef & cheese egg roll (off the Special Board), and the Spicy Chicken, one of their signature dishes buried in red chiles and sichaun peppercorn. I haven't sweat that much since hot yoga. They cooked everything one at a time, everything served fresh and hot, with prompt service. I'll be back to try everything.

Wow ! Americano is delicious - good robust beans. The lo mein noodles have a good flavor and texture ; the shrimp are huge. Orange chicken has tender white meat , sweet and fresh. The orange sauce is made fresh and it's intensely magnificent. If you are not an orange chicken person, it's because you have not tasted this recipe. Chinese brócoli is fresh , garlicky and cut in perfect pieces. The white rice is fresh and fluffy. THIS IS THE BEST ORANGE CHICKEN IN ALBUQUERQUE . Hands down.

Just driving by and this place caught our eye. It was a great lunch. We split the wontons which were spicy and tasty. The Mei Fun was a curry flavored and perfect for two people. It's in a strip mall but well worth the stop.

This place felt very authentic. We started with the spicy wontons; they were a little soft but the flavor was legit. One of the servers, likely an owner, came by and swapped out my chopsticks for a spoon which felt abrupt but absolutely the best way to be eating them. Both noodle dishes were flavorful and well prepared. A little extra soy sauce really boosted the flavor but I appreciated neither dish was overly salty. We will absolutely try this spot again.

Whole sizzling fish

As many people have mentioned, the owner/service are not the friendliness (she seemed even skeptical of us non-Chinese people asking for chopsticks), but don't take it personally as you'll be served incredibly authentic and delicious food - I've been twice and everything has been yummy and interesting (the whole sizzling fish has interesting unique flavors). We kinda think the service is a kitschy part of the experience (ala "no soup for you!").

I've been craving the spiciness of peppercorn lately and this scratched that itch. The wontons in chili oil had a bit of heat, but I liked it mainly for the flavor. The spicy chicken was wonderfully numbing and crunchy. Perfectly good service too.

Arrival was remarkably effortless with a convenient parking lot situated right outside. Stepping inside, the layout is wonderfully well-appointed and spotlessly clean. While the space is somewhat intimate in scale, it is adorned with stunning traditional Chinese-style murals that lend a refined, high-end atmosphere to the entire room. The hospitality was top-tier from the moment we arrived attentive, gracious, and extraordinarily welcoming. I began with a chilled iced tea, which provided a clean, refreshing complement to the meal. The menu itself is impressively curated and systematically organized with clean item codes like 'B', G and 'S', making selection an absolute breeze. For my main course, I selected the 'B4' Braised Beef Noodle Soup. When served, the dish proved to be an absolute culinary triumph rich, aromatic, and infused with a perfectly balanced, sophisticated kick of spice that exceeded every expectation. She always gets the Miso Ramen hotpot and I've always changed up what I get between the sizzling plates and the hotpot options. Our absolute favorite is the basil popcorn chicken, we always get extra sauce as well because we tend to run out of the sauce before the chicken. But if you do come here please make sure you order it! They carry a lot of the traditional Japanese beers despite being a taiwanese based restaurant but that's not a bad thing, the Kirin in particular is hard to find in Albuquerque so it's my go to. The Formosa flight is also a great option for anyone looking to explore Sake. The service is nice and Lena is usually the server we see the most, she is great and always checking in on us throughout our time dining. We usually go in around 4pm and I believe it is typically the shift changeover period and it will be one or two other tables dining In and we tend to get checked on by multiple servers which is nice as a customer. We never have a bad experience here, and despite wanting to try new restaurants, we both consistently agree that Tasty pots basil popcorn chicken is worth coming here for, from there I always struggle with what to order as i want to try everything once and my girlfriend will always choose the Miso ramen hotpot. It's a great place to come and spend some time in, and there's even Boba and teas you can get to go! Typically the price range for us lands around $80 to $120 without tip depending on us getting the combo deal or not, alcohol, soft drinks, boba tea, and our appetizer. We also spend about an Hour or hour and a half dining In from the time we are sat to the time we have packed up our leftovers and are leaving out the door.

I must say the last time I went I asked what ingredients are in the egg salad, tuna salad, and chicken salad because I have food allergies. The server said, "Oh they don't tell us. All the recipes are secret." Ok well I sort of get that but sort of don't having allergies. So beware if you do too! I decided to take my chances and order the Three Salad meal. This comes with three scoops of salad; one of egg salad, one of tuna, and one of chicken salad. It's served with tomatoes. The salads were very tasty! Unfortunately there was something that was undetectable in the chicken salad and I felt too weird to eat something I couldn't place so I threw that salad away. I asked for crackers for my salads but they didn't have any. Booooooo. I also ordered a warm blueberry muffin and it was scrumptious!! My mom got an egg salad sandwich with a cup of French Onion soup which she said was delicious. This place is decorated the exact same way as it was in the 80s when I was a child, so it's fun to go with my mom. It's ver nostalgic. However, I won't go on my own or suggest it to friends now. There are too many of us that prefer to know what we are eating. Cheers!

My partner didn't eat the pinon that came with her meal, so I threw those on my salad as well. My partner ordered the Pesto Pasta with grilled chicken.
