I set up an appointment to have them look at my septic and they said they would be out that night or the next day. I said ok let me know. They didn't call or show up that night. Ok so I'm assuming for sure they will be out the next day so I call to make sure. Oh yeah Sandeep will be over tonight. Great! Day comes and goes and Sandeep never shows. So now I call the next day. The lady on the phone says he's very busy but he will try to be out the next day. Why am I feeling like they are never coming and like a bad date I'm being stood up again? Red Cedar pretended to do a full repipe on my house on 2/10/24. I paid a $1000 deposit on 1/31/24. They tried to scam me for a $10,000 fake job. I was lied to about needing a permit. Their crew pretended to run a new mainline, digging up a line of dirt in my yard, putting on a big show, without running any new pipes. My yard has since been dug up and nothing found there. In addition, I saved the video footage from my security cameras to reveal the truth. I also took photos showing this facade in progress. They told me the kitchen and one bathroom had been repiped, however after a professional inspection it was found that they lied about that as well. I still have old galvanized pipes everywhere except my laundry room where the pipes are exposed (much harder to fake). Autie, the company representative, has been unavailable for questions or help after the job was finished. I made a complaint to the BBB and to the office of the Attorney General of Washington State. Red Cedar did a full re-pipe and water heater replacement in 1 day to switch us from galvanized to PEX pipes. This was great until 3 days later when many of our fixtures clogged up with rust. They came back out the next day and tried to clear the clogs but eventually said that they couldn't clear the clogs as the rust was coming in via our water supply line which was still galvanized. They evaluated replacing it for us but recognized because of the steep slope that they couldn't do the job. After we got the main line replaced they came back out and again cleared all the fixtures all of this under warranty. Even though we had unforeseen issues with this job Red Cedar was responsive and willing to cover their warrantied work even though the root issue wasn't with their work. read more

We really like this company. We noticed our french drain wasn't draining very well out in to the street, and we also noticed our backyard grass was always soggy. They were quick to come out an address our backyard drain issues. They evaluated, gave us a great quote, and came out the next week to perform the work on replacing our french drain. (Before they suggested replacing it completely, they honestly gave us options to blow it out with high pressure washer) Turns out the previous home owner installed the french drain, and didn't do the best work. I give them 1 star because they won't accept responsibility for their errors, try to blame someone else, don't follow thru with calls, permits, etc. What should have taken a week at most has turned into a 3 month+ aggravating situation. They have been fined by L&I for errors, lagged to repair, didn't follow thru for a final inspection, was short with us on the phone and over-all unprofessional. They offered a free in person consultation to check the water stain issue on a wall of my guest bathroom. The technician was very honest and told me that it was due to the moisture in the bathroom which caused the stains. There are also stains in other walls in the same bathroom though less visible. They also helped double check the water meter and confirmed the water meter was not running (thus no concern over broken pipe in the wall). Re-pipe was done in a day and they cleaned up after themselves and used carpet covers during the job. They went above and beyond with all that they did, even fixing the drywall where they had to cut to do the repipe, insulated the new pipes and added a shut-off valve so we didn't have to shut water off from the street in an emergency. The estimate was fair and stipulated if the leak was not more than a couple of feet from the water meter, the charge would be lower. I have used Red Cedar twice now on two different projects. The first one was a long sewer line from my house under my front walkway back in July 2017. Sandeep had the best prices and understood that my plants needed to be respected during the work! He even had his crew add compost to the fill near the roots of those that were cut in the process. No harm came to them and they are still healthy and happy. There has been no issues with that first job. Fast forward three years and I am selling the house. I have to say this is an amazing company. Sandeep the owner came to my house and did an evaluation of a repipe, he was very knowledgeable and gave me advice as if it were his own home. 3.5 stars for poor job of finishing---workmen did not backfill hole dug into crawlspace, causing water to leak under our home. 4 stars for quick communication. 5 stars for being pleasant workmen. It would've been great had they finished the job properly. We went with Cedar due to a previous five star review from someone who also had their water pipe leak between street and home. Same situation. Initially were told water would be shut off for 4 hrs...but by the end of day, turns out the old fixture street side was too rusty and broke. Stores were closing and they did not have the part on hand in their truck. So no water for our family overnight. Zero. Things happen. Next day, not sure why it took all the way till almost dark to finish. Not sure when the part was found but the workmen were working till almost dark before the water finally came back. Two days. We never even thought of going down into the crawlspace to check on their work until months passed from summer into rainy season. Needed to check for a future bathroom remodel...my husband found standing water in the crawlspace, under and above the plastic sheeting. Some mold was starting to grow by that area under our boards. Then we saw the hole dug under the pipe filled with water. It was where it was all coming in from. We messaged Cedar plumbing to let them know about the lack of care in their workmanship and they did offer to send someone out to look at it. My husband considered it but decided he didn't trust them to do it right, not after omitting something as basic as backfilling properly in the first place. He bought a sump pump and hand siphoned areas where the pump could not go. Still not sure how we will get the water off the plastic. Real pain to deal with. Not even sure if the mold will disappear. We bought cement sand and filled in the area outside above ground also. We saved money going with Cedar but now we question it for the long run. From now on we will personally check work right after completion. Really hoping no further damage happens from the moisture and that it will soon dissipate. read more

I am a real estate agent and have recommended this company multiple times. Unfortunately, my own experience was horrific. Water heater connection was done with duct tape judged unsafe by our electrician and the strap mis-positioned. Installer moved the fridge for better access and gouged and ripped the Marmoleum commercial flooring. Then, they accused us of lying about the damage (photos of before and after verified) and wanting them to pay for pre-existing damage. Multiple emails and conversations over 3 weeks were fruitless. Ultimately, they came and tried to fix but electrician was still needed to do it properly. So, I hung up and messaged my contact info to the number I used to call her. I get a call back from her about 60 minutes later saying she didn't get my text. And then she asked me, while on the phone with her, to take down her other number so that I could text message her my contact info after we hung up? Just seemed like a mess right from the start. Don't trust their 24/7 claims. False. I called them on a Friday to attend to a leaky kitchen faucet and they said they would get back. No response. I called them again Saturday and got a 'sorry I forgot and will soon get back'. Sure an hour later I was told no plumber was available to fix the faucet. What about Monday I asked and the response was no one would be available! When then does the website say 24/ if even 48-72 hour notice can't be handled? What I experienced was customer apathy, unwillingness to solve the problem and gross inability to even come up with options! Plumbing can be an emergency many a time. Forget 24 if a Plumbing firm cannot even turnaround in 48 hours or make a commitment to turnaround within 72 hours - should they be in the business of plumbing? read more
