We happened to find Westside Tire just from seeing what was close to us on Google Maps, and we definitely lucked out! They were able to get the tire examined and patched in a little under an hour, and we were back on the road quickly (and it was only $30). I was ready to pay for a new tire if needed, and their honesty and integrity by just patching it rather than replacing it is greatly appreciated. The wonderful service here honestly turned around everything about that day, and we made it back to NYC safely about 7 hours later. While we may not find ourselves back in this area again (I'm not hoping for another tire leak...), if you're nearby and end up here, you won't be disappointed.

I ended up going back days later for something I wanted added to my vehicle, and met Tori who was very friendly and welcoming as well. The service techs did a good job working on my vehicle and if(when) I need anything serviced again, I will be back! Thanks guys!

I was advised that the intake manifold gasket was leaking and causing unmeatered air into the engine. I authorized the work and several weeks later they said they changed the gasket but gee wiz the car still runs like crap. At that point they said that it had to be the computer under the dash. So I purchased one of those and installed it - not the problem. Then they said we are stumped. My bill was over one thousand dollars - thank you. Sorry we could not fix your car. Moreover, when I went to retrieve my car I barely got it back home because they did not install the radiator house properly and it was overheating and anti freeze all over my garage floor. I had to tow the car (on my dime) back to them to fix their mistake. Stay away from this place!! Bunch of kids that don't know what they are doing!!

During this transaction, the merchant exhibited major deceptive business practices, which forced me…read moreto immediately halt all contact and have the truck towed away: Refusal to Return Parts: When I asked about getting the old parts back if a replacement happened, the mechanic claimed a "core charge" prevented it. When I offered to pay the core charge out-of-pocket to keep my property, he refused to call his supplier to check the price, aggressively claiming he was "too busy" while I stood right in front of him. Refusal to Stand By His Work: The merchant wrote "New PCM to fix issue" on his paperwork. However, when I asked him to sign his name to validate that his diagnosis was correct and would actually fix the vehicle, he completely refused to sign it. Fabricated Billing Items: The merchant charged for items like an engine coolant sensor and its wiring. However, the vehicle's computer was not even communicating or reading data to generate a trouble code for that system. They billed for things that could not possibly have been diagnosed. Definitive Proof of Fraud (Dealership Invoice Attached): Because of his hostile behavior and refusal to sign his name to his own diagnosis, I had the truck towed directly to an official manufacturer dealership for a certified inspection. As clearly proven by the attached Official Dealership Invoice: The truck never needed a new engine computer (PCM). The actual issue was simply a broken wire running to the PCM. The dealership repaired the wire, and the truck runs perfectly on its original computer.

When I took my car in I had no other problems but when I picked it up my AC wasn't working. They gave me a $1400 estimate a said I needed a new compressor. I left. 3 days later my car stalled out on me again. I went somewhere else. It was the fuel module that I thought that Harlan replaced. And my air, it only needed Freon, which Harlan told me they tested for. I'm beyond disappointed and feel like I've been cheated. Single ladies beware, they don't make it right and I would never recommend them.

I was advised the second visit would take all day but was fortunate enough that a 2nd technician was available, so I was out in less than four hours. Not bad for a major repair. The people you meet initially are very friendly and professional; they have a full body of knowledge concerning automobiles. There is plenty of room to sit while waiting with free coffee and cold water, couches, chairs and tables. The overall service is superb.

Best Auto Shop Experience I've Ever Had - Truly Like Family…read more I don't usually write long reviews, but this experience absolutely deserves it. I started calling around because my brakes were squeaking, just doing price checks like anyone would. RT Barrett Auto Sales was only the second place I called but something about his spirit over the phone made me stop right there. I didn't even feel the need to keep calling other places. That alone says a lot. When I arrived, I was greeted by Ron and his wife, and from that moment on, the energy was nothing but warm, welcoming, and genuine. They were both incredibly kind, and you can just tell they truly love what they do. The shop itself? CLEAN, organized, and comfortable. Not your typical auto shop at all. They had a TV set up, asked what me and my son wanted to watch (my son is autistic, so that meant a lot), and we ended up enjoying SpongeBob and Madagascar together. They also had a fridge stocked with drinks, name-brand snacks like Lays chips, pretzels, and even a big jar of candy. It honestly felt more like a welcoming space than a waiting room. Now let's talk about the service... Ron and the other mechanic (I wish I remembered his name!) were AMAZING. What stood out to me the most is that they didn't just fix my car. They educated me. Ron took his time explaining everything about my brakes, fluids, and how my car operates in a way I've never experienced before. It was so detailed and clear, almost like a class. If he ever offered one, I would sign up immediately! I also really appreciated his honesty. He was straightforward in the best way respectful, but real. I'm someone who values constructive feedback, and he delivered it in a way that made me feel informed, not judged. What's crazy is just days before this, I was telling a friend how badly I wished I could find a mechanic I could trust. I've had a couple of cars since I was 21 and have been to plenty of shops but THIS place? This is the first time I truly felt comfortable. It honestly felt like home. Ron, his wife, and his team don't just provide a service they care. And that's rare. I grabbed extra business cards because I will be recommending them to everyone I know, especially women like me who may not know much about cars but deserve honesty, respect, and quality care. If they ever move locations, I will gladly drive to wherever they are--no question. To me, they are not just the best shop in Youngstown... they are the best, period. Thank you all so much. I truly can't put into words how much I appreciate you. You've gained a lifelong customer--and honestly, it feels like I gained a new family.
