These guys were a life saver. I was traveling through the country and my alternator went on my car in this town. The Chevy dealership recommended them bc they didnt work on foreign diesel cars. So this shop took us right in and started investigating how to fix my problem quickly. They located a part for me which was a problem all in itself, got it ordered and installed. They offered me a loaner car so I wasn't stuck at the shop all day and gave me a recommendation of where we could go to relax for a while. Just great service! Only one down side was that in the rush to get a stranded mom out of there (I begged to get this done asap) something happened to my oil level sensor. They had thought that it was possibly wet and it would stop giving me a problem but unfortunately while I was at my final destination it just completely stopped reading my levels. They had told me that I had an oil leak so that caused a concern for me to drive the vehicle bk home with no sensor to read the oil. They offered for me to stop on the way back but I would have been passing through after they closed on a Sat. So I had to have it fixed at a location where I was. Armando's hourly rate was quite high but I really didn't have much of a choice and I was assured I was in good hands so that made it sting a bit less. But when I had to get that sensor fixed because the clip got messed up during the alternator fix it was definitely frustrating. I do wish they would have looked at it better before I left but they had done so much for me already and it was past closing time he said. All in all I would go to them again. They were extremely kind, knowledgeable and empathetic. I'm sure if I wasn't stranded and they had more time I wouldn't have had a problem with the oil sensor. Just sucked having to pay to get that fixed also. I'm sure you will be happy with their service if you needed. read more

This is actually humorous right now as I leave this... In May of this year my husband and I went to Armando's to get a few simple things taken care of on my VW. I had an engine light on that needed addressed and while my car was in we inquired about my audio speakers that had not been functioning since I purchased it. Here's how this all transpired -- day 1: they never called us to tell us the car was finished. We called right around the end of the day and they said my car was good to go. MIND YOU -- I CALLED THEM. Get there and in fact, my car was not ready to go. They said they had to order a part and it would be there in a few days. So I leave my car there for the weekend (plus some.) The following week when you would think my car would be done (but who knows because they never called me) I called them to see what was up. They said that the part they got was faulty and they had to order another one. ... okay but they never called me... So in the meantime we take my car back. They told us the speaker was faulty. When my husband turned my car on he checked the speakers and realized that they never even tested it (he had messed with the settings and they were all set the same way he left them...) Okay so they have us come in after they got the new part. Now they think it's not the speaker but the amplifier! So guess what? They have to order something new again! So in the meantime my husband started researching this. Found BOTH the speaker and the amplifier on eBay used for far less than what they were saying for used parts. My husband was able to order them, receive them and successfully install them. All on his own. All while they never called us to let us know when the part came in... And the funny part is we are less than a week to September ... AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T CALLED! so clearly, unless you are dropping money on buying a car there or getting service done on a car you bought there, they might be good. Otherwise, I suggest you take your business elsewhere because I can tell you that they do not care about you AT ALL. Randy sucks and is a joke. He has no idea what he is doing and is probably one of the worst business managers I have ever come into contact with. read more

My wife was visiting Boardman, three hours from our home in our BMW X3. The check engine light came on, and the car was running rough. I called Armando's 60 minutes before closing, to ask if they could help. They committed to reading the code and providing advice on what to do next. She drove the car there, they diagnosed it as a failed ignition coil, and provided a replacement that got her back up and running in less than an hour. She reported they were polite and helpful. My sister recently asked me to help her shop for a used car. There was a car at Armando's that she really liked, but the negative experience we encountered there made us leave. The sales manager was rude and condescending and he initially did not want us to test-drive the car. We discovered then the vehicle was not as advertised; the mileage was higher, and it had no leather, heated seats or navigation. We had a poor and distrustful experience at Armando's. read more
