I was given a quote and approved that amount, but when I picked up my vehicle, it was $1200 more than the estimate. I paid it because I needed my car, but had an attorney help me draft a letter and sent it certified mail requesting half of my money back. Under Ohio laws (OAC 109:4-3-13), automotive repair companies need approval before making repairs exceeding the initial quote. On the positive side, they did provide me a vehicle while my car was being repaired and did end up reimbursing half of my money. Then, 4 months later, the same diagnostic code came on my Jeep and I made an appointment at Kufleitner's, as the work has a 2 year warranty. They refused to even diagnose my Jeep and told me the work they did was not warranted. Again, which I don't believe they can do. They're upset because they did not follow the law and someone held them accountable. Throughout my life, I have purchased to date 7 Dodge-Jeep vehicles and have never had a negative experience from any other dealership. I ended up taking my Jeep to Jim Shorkey Dodge-Jeep. They made the repairs, as the parts were still under warranty. They were pleasant and great to work with. Next time, I will definitely go there, but will never go to Kufleitner's again.

Tonight I got a called from some else at the dealership that they had sold the vehicle out from under me with no other explanation given to me or to Dave. I wouldn't trust this place at all. I'd recommend taking your business to some place that takes their word and guarantees seriously, and treats their employees and potential customers better than this.

The first time was for a noise coming from under the hood that ended up being a loose bracket for the a/c. They fixed it and they even replaced our wheel covers of which are covered under the warranty. We didn't know this but the friendly staff told us they were and replaced them. Also, the back seatbelt that my kids use was locked up and they had to replace some sort of gear or something of which they did the same day as well. Pretty cool. Today, my wife took it there because our windshiled wiper motor went bad and something's going on with the powersteering. They replaced the wiper motor and told her that they had to order the parts for the rack and pinion which is making the noise we hear. They were nice enough to tell her that when the parts are shipped in, she would need to drop the car off and come back to pick it up as the work will take several hours. Fifth star evades this review as both times we had an appointment for the work but ended waiting approx 2-3 hours anyway. I know a wait is expected but why make an appointment? Anyway, other than the wait issues, we have found something great in this dealership.

I normally don't write long reviews, but my experience with Ken Ganley Kia of Boardman was so…read moredisappointing and stressful that I feel compelled to warn others. What should have been an exciting purchase turned into a two-week nightmare -- one week just trying to complete the deal, and another week waiting for the dealership to finally release my approved, paid-for vehicle. During that delay, I was told I'd still have to pay for the days I didn't even have the car in my possession. My experience with sales associate Christopher Kenney, finance manager Heather Marino, and general manager Melanie Yesovich was marked by misinformation, unresponsiveness, and defensiveness. I was repeatedly pushed aside, ignored, and treated as though my time and business didn't matter. Even after paying my down payment and signing the paperwork, they refused to release the car, citing "funds clearing" from the leasing company -- which makes no sense for a lease. When I raised the issue, I was offered only $40 compensation and told to sign a release form that would have silenced me from ever sharing this experience publicly. I refused. The only person who showed any professionalism was sales manager Mark Dickerhoof, who listened, treated me with respect, and ultimately honored the national offer I was initially denied. Unfortunately, every other part of this dealership failed to deliver even the most basic level of customer care. As a former licensed car salesman at Klaben Ford and Lincoln and a recipient of the Key to the City of Youngstown, I know how customers deserve to be treated -- and this dealership fell far below that standard. If you value honesty, professionalism, and respect, steer clear of Ken Ganley Kia of Boardman.

Then the issues started (again) so I make a new appointment for today. Wait this whole month and bring it in, and I am told they can't diagnose the issue because the vehicle is behaving today. I said I am worried about getting stranded with the weather getting cold. They have nothing to say to that. I explain to them that the problem is inconsistent, and it's not my fault that it's not having issues today when I finally have an appointment. Again, nothing to say. I ask if next time that my vehicle is having the same issue if I should drive it directly to the dealership, as I can't predict when the issue occurs to make an appointment for that day. They tell me no. They suggest I take a video next time and they can escalate it to the Hyundai technical support team. So how am I supposed to get my car fixed?? This vehicle was bought new not even a year and a half ago! Totally unacceptable! Clearly I wouldn't have spent my afternoon waiting around at the dealership if there was no issue. I think it is asinine that I was turned away with no resolution in an unsafe vehicle! If they are able to escalate the issue then they should have done it TODAY and sent me home in a rental until the problem was fixed! Instead I have to risk driving in the bad weather coming soon in a new vehicle that doesn't start and being stranded??? Absolutely terrible service. I am considering just trading the car in and going back to Chevy vehicles; Chevy never gave me bad service that could potentially put me in danger. I cannot believe that after buying the car new just last year and with it being under warranty that I am being denied service.

I was in to look at Camrys I was interested in, and was offered no assistance, so I left feeling a little annoyed and insulted. Stephanie D reached out to apologize and I made an appointment the next day to meet with a sales rep. After meeting with sales rep (Kevin Sikora) and taking a test drive, was offered a deal too good to pass up. Also a pleasant experience in the finance office with Keely; no shady monkey business at all during the parade of paperwork. She did try to sell a few last-minute extras but didn't turn evil on me when I declined them. Very happy with the car I got and the deal that came with it. He couldn't bother to let me know ahead of time despite texting him just a couple hours before; I drove an hour out of my way and had a cashier's check made out for the down payment and everything. Overall very disappointing and frustrating, and incredibly unprofessional on their part. I would strongly encourage anyone to avoid doing business with Nicholas Rushwin specifically, and this dealership as a whole. I definitely will not give them my business and advise against anyone giving them their business either.
