The chicken and waffles (yes, everywhere we go) were great. Real size chicken with flavor and the waffle was good. My daughter had a regular American breakfast.. eggs, sausage and pancakes... she shared her pancakes with me.. very good, had flavor enjoyable. The chicken breading is great and it is nice and crispy. The chicken breast was juicy and came out nice and hot. They put the gravy on the side so its perfect to dip. Mashed potatoes: The mashed potatoes were great. They are smooth with no skin or chunks inside. The gravy came on top which added great flavor. Mac and Cheese: My mac and cheese came out a little cold but it was alright. It wasn't extremely cheesy either, it just tasted a little plain for my taste. I wish it was more cheesy and warmer. That would probably explain the biscuit being tough. The sausage gravy was not good. The gravy was thin/runny with cut up pieces of the sausage patties, but it lacked the sausage flavor. The grits were also very soupy. I had pushed my full cup of hot tea to the edge of the table, the server either didn't notice or just didn't care. I was only asked once if I was needing anything else, and since she didn't ask about my full cup of tea, I wasn't going to say anything. When she came over to the table she asked if I needed anything, I stated No, I am done. She asked if I wanted my check, and I paid my tab. They do advertise Bloody Mary's and other breakfast cocktails but I didn't have any of those. The location is good, area outside for the kids to run and play. Seating outside also to watch the kids. I think I would only return to this place if I am invited out to brunch with my group of friends. Otherwise, would be a long while before I return, being hopeful things have improved.
