These guys rock. I brought my car in after my A/C died in a heatwave in June. They recharged it, but it didn't kick over when they started it. They did more troubleshooting the next day, and found that a fuse had blown. They literally could have told me anything and I would have believed them -- but they replaced the fuse and charged me for the recharge and an hour of labor. I appreciate this kind of honesty. You don't find it everywhere. As an aside, an employee drove me home when I dropped the car off at 8am. I asked him about the biz -- do they treat you well, do you like working here? Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism shown from staff. My brother had his vehicle serviced at this location and instead of trying to rectify errors that were made on their end, they verbally harassed him (using vulgar language "f- this, f-that, get the f off my property, etc.") and got in his vicinity (to the point where my brother had to put his hand up incase he was stuck). When we drove it , the same problem was occurring. My husband took it back due to the fact that it had a warranty. They took our van and drove it around . They used it for a parts delivery trip as well. My husband asked for the job to be completed he refused . He told my husband that he was too fucking fat to be talking to him like that and to get the fuck off of his property. He then proceeded to get in my husband's face and tell him to fucking leave. On September 10th we spent $1600 for Red Bluff Auto Clinic to replace our A/C system. After less than 14 days our A/C is no longer blowing cold air or functioning properly. After the shop reevaluated our system they informed us there would be additional charges as they had not gone through the entire system as previously agreed on. We were verbally assaulted by the manager when we pressed to have the vehicle fixed correctly as agreed on. I DO NOT recommend this shop to anyone. We spent the extra money assuming we would have a completely new system covered by warranty, to be treated horribly by the manager and to be out a substantial amount of money. read more

These nice folks saved our skin when my air conditioning died during a long, hot road trip from LA to Portland. A while ago I had brought my my Subaru legacy to this shop to diagnose the issues it was having the 1st time it was in there I tried to explain the symptoms it was having and the owner'slash mechanic dismissed everything I had to say and After a week of it being in the shop nothing was was done to fix the problem. The car actually ran worse when I took it home above reverb examination yesterday's examination there was missing bolts bolts loose bolts and nuts so so I called and they told me to bring it back down to the shop which I did and it sat there for over or over a month with nothing being done to it and after that long period of time I told them just to Complete whatever they were doing to it or whatever they had done so they literally just slapped it back together never fixed the problem and charged Me $1300 for absolutely for absolutely nothing being done to the car except for making more problems for myself which I had to replace a bunch of nuts and bolts that were either the wrong ones the wrong ones that were put in place of place of the correct ones missing ones And come to find out the problem was a clogged catalytic converter that they couldn't seem to figure out but they charged me $1500 altogether and a month and a 1/2 of not having a vehicle read more

When you take your vehicle in be careful, you have to walk through the shop to get to the office. When you get into the disgustingly filthy office and Joes phone rings you will see how disrespectful he talks to (I would assume) his customers. When he wrote the paperwork up for what I needed done it was 50$ more than explained on the phone, this was after he asked for my keys and then we walked out to my car and he said "wow you drive a nice car". I'm not sure if he thinks he can take advantage of people based on what they drive but my experience with this gentlemen was very unpleasant. I would call one of the other shops here in town to get work done. Maybe Kupers or the Garage as I went in to both and the customer service was much better and the shops much nicer. Traveling north on I-5 in our motorhome between Bakersfield and Sacramento the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Since we had just had the left oxygen sensor replaced in Yucca Valley we feared the right one had followed suit and we faced another costly repair. No repair shop in Sacramento could accommodate us that day so we called ahead to Red Bluff where Joe Sr. at Red Bluff Auto Clinic assured us that he would scan the engine computer for codes when we arrived and let us know if repairs were necessary. Joe Jr. and another mechanic did just that. The news was good; a minor fuel evaporate leak that wouldn't need fixing until we got back to Washington State. Cost? No charge! Took my PT Cruiser in to have the water pump and timing belt replaced. they found other things that needed to be fixed, not a problem with that. The problems that came up when I picked up the were: First, the throttle cable was not connected properly and could not get the car above 30 MPH. Got it home took care of it myself not hard just needed to be clipped in to the housing. The 2nd problem was that the power steering was leaking BAD! I had a nuisance leek for a while, but this was so bad it was flowing to to the ground as soon as put it in. The High pressure line was backed out from the pump so far that I could see the threads. Again I fixed it my self as I knew how to since I replaced the pump and reservoir 6th months prior. Then when it was warm outside I turned on my A/C to find that it would not blow cold even after a few minutes. This system had been ICE cold, and this shop worked on the A/C system and put in dye in 2015. This was before I had the car but the service sticker is on the underside of my hood. Thankfully they are refilling my system at no charge to me. Really wish they had done everything correctly the first time. read more

The best of the best! I have taken 2 of our cars there for various issues from water pump replacement to oil changes and every single time I leave feeling confident in the repairs/maintenance. As any female who has ever taken a car in for even a simple issue will tell you, the world of auto repair is ripe with repair shops that will take advantage of our inherent ignorance of how these machines work. This leaves even the most savvy female customer on edge and just waiting for the pitch to upsell repairs for things that aren't broken or worst case, don't even exist. This is certainly NOT the case with Red Bluff Auto Clinic! The issue I had with a water pump sensor that necessitated replacement of the pump itself was explained thoroughly and in layman's terms. I have to admit since this was early in our relationship, I did call the dealership to check out the info and sure enough he was correct about the extent of recommended repair. The estimate for repairs has always been accurate - no surprises! That is greatly appreciated. I was on my way to Madras,OR on the Thursday before the solar eclipse when the engine blew on my '98 Chevy Silverado and I was fortunate to be towed here. The crew started pulling the old engine that afternoon and arranged lodging for me. With the crew working some overtime they had me on the road Sunday noon so I could join in the eclipse experience. I showed up unannounced (didn't call ahead), and even though they seemed to be pretty busy, all three of the folks working were super friendly and glad to help. Took my car there for a specific installation service. There was nothing wrong with my car. What was supposed to take 2 hours took 5 days because suddenly they could not get my car to start. Picked my car up paying far more than I expected for them to "fix" their own mistake (whatever it was). As I drove off the lot I noticed my gas gauge was no longer working and my wipers no longer worked! A few weeks later my car wouldn't start. It cranked but wouldn't turn over. Until this place got hold of my car, I had never had an issue starting it. In fact, I never had ANY issues with it! Car had a brand new battery too. Had to pay to tow it back to this shop. They had my car for 6 weeks. They finally diagnosed it as a computer module issue that they were too busy and behind to deal with and that they would need me to take care of it! So I do some research and find a a company that repairs ECM'S and I mailed it in to them for repair at a cost of $399. But the company ran a diagnostic on it and mailed it back saying there was nothing wrong with it! In the end this place was unable to figure out the problem but still charged me $300 labor (which they made it sound like it was a kind gesture on their part due to the loss they were absorbing. What about my loss?!!) and there I am with a car that doesn't start that they now needed off their premises. With little other options, I found a company that buys cars for the scrap metal and comes and tows away your car for free. I got less than $200 for my car which didn't even cover the labor I was charged! Not to mention the cost related to the ECM they wrongly diagnosed and needed me to take care of on my own! This was the ultimate worst case scenario. They seem like nice enough guys. But this was unacceptable and displayed incompetence, unprofessionalism, little regard for customer satisfaction, and shady business practices. read more
