My car, a Nissan Pathfinder, broke down on a road trip. I got it towed to All Pro Auto, in Red Bluff, Ca. BEST AUTO REPAIR shop I've ever gone to! I got the car there right before closing. They called me 30 minutes later to tell me it needed a new alternator. The co-owner, Eddy said the part would be there the next AM & he was going in early to start working on it (to help me continue on my trip). I called the shop the next afternoon to see how the progress was going. The new alternator was in, but Eddy was trouble shooting some issues. They told me it needed a new cable. So, I waited until the next day to call back & see if they had found the issue. I was told they were searching for a battery sensor cable. They found one, but it would take 7-10 shipping days to get there. So I rented a car to head home to Oregon. They called me a week later to tell me the part was in & the car was ready for me to pick up. Several mechanics test drove the car and said it was running great . . . . but a light on the dashboard was still blinking, then going off. Eddy researched this issue for DAYS. He discovered that you have to put a brand name Nissan alternator in a Nissan & not an aftermarket brand. The shop & I both called around trying to find an alternator. I called a Nissan dealership & the parts dept told me point blank "no one has any in stock, they are back ordered & there is NO ETA when one would be available". NISSAN SUCKS!! I was finally able to pick the car up 2 weeks later. Eddy met me after hours at the shop. I'm a patient person, so I wasn't calling the shop several times a day, like several of my friends told me to do, to see if the car was done. I knew they would call me when Eddy was done. Women get taken advantage of ALL THE TIME at repair shops. Thankfully, All Pro Auto DID NOT do this to me. Eddy told me they are in the business of helping people & that the shop would lose money on my car. I greatly appreciate Eddy's time & honesty trying to repair my car. In the end, Eddy only charged me for the battery sensor cable. I've never met a repairman this nice, helpful & honest. If you need a repair shop, I highly suggest All Pro Auto. They are HONEST, DEPENDABLE & will get the job done correctly. This all happened in Aug & I'm late posting this review. (FYI, I did have to eventually take my car to a Nissan dealership. It took over 3 weeks to "find" an alternator & I got royally SCREWED!! I'll NEVER own another Nissan in my lifetime!! B. Arriola, Oregon read more
