Great little brewery, love the support they have for the communities around them. Did Bingo with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence last year when I visited and came back just for a spot to sit and enjoy a good beer with the family. read more

Ok wow! stated Gallaudet university on my first trip to DC. We didn't make it over here. I am very disappointed you didn't. On my second trip I was happy to make it over to this neighborhood and find this place. Love that it is LBGTQ plus owned and operated! would come just to support with that. But I stayed and continue to come back through the week because the food was delicious. The fried pickles and cheese curds were awesome. I had a burger one night that did not disappoint . And I had more beers than I would like to admit to. But they were all very, very good. They had two sours that I absolutely loved. Places clean the bathrooms are fantastic and have some amazing artwork and then love the first one with the cats in space Service was fantastic. Bartenders were very polite and courteous, and wanted to offer great suggestions based on what I like to drink. read more

I really enjoyed my time at Red Bear Brewing while catching up with a friend. For one, Read Bear has an amazing selection of draft beers. During my visit, I think that I counted 25/26 drafts, but I could be mistaken. Fortunately for me, the brewery had 5 or 6 IPAs at my selection, which made me a happy camper. If you have trouble selecting a brew (or two), feel free to ask a bartender for help because the two bartenders where VERY knowledgeable of Red Bear's brews. Since the brewery is pretty large, it's a great place to host a large get together, especially since it's right across form the red line's metro station. For the area, I thought the beer and mixed drink prices were pretty much in line with other places in the area. Overall, I definitely could see myself returning and checking out more of what Red Bear has to offer. read more

First time here at the RBB. This craft brewery is located in the old Washington Coliseum (where the Beatles played their first US concert in 1964) NoMa area of the DC community. The service is great and the libations are delicious! This is a great casual restaurant to enjoy great tasting beer and live music with friends. If you're ever in the area. GET SOME!!!! read more

What an amazing little bar! My partner ordered us out, and I ordered the onion rings, which came out crispy and delicious, the vegan dipping sauce is, chefs kiss! They also have drag shows and an MC which really elevated the experience. The bar staff was kind, even though they were completely slammed, and we felt taken care of. read more

We came here for our first stop on the City Brew Tour. I wish we kind of had more time to explore the brewery in it's entirety but we loved it here and loved the atmosphere. I can't remember all the ones we tried but I believe we did try the Pumpkin Beer and a stout. They also have brunch and cocktails that I'd like to go back and try. Overall plenty of seating. There's some street parking around as well. I did like most of the beers I tried here and can't wait to come back and try more! read more

Solid brewery with games, food and dranks (beer and not beer). Decent amount of seating too. We tried a lot of the beers (you can order taster sizes if you want to sample a bunch). They sell pretty typical bar food - highlights were cheese curds and the pretzels (those pretzels were so so good). They have a few happy hour specials - handful of cheaper drinks and a couple of food specials. I also got crab cakes, house salad (which was Caesar), Greek salad (very small...), onion rings and mushroom burger (also decent). Overall great place to hang with friends. read more

Located in NoMa, Red Bear Brewing has ample indoor and outdoor seating. We walked in on a Friday early evening without reservations and were found a seat indoors. You place orders via QR code on their website, and head over to pick it up once you receive a text that it's ready. I had a cider light cider, and also tried the rumchata Reese's hot chocolate which I recommend on a colder day! They had a nice amount of food options, which was good. The burger was nice, cheese curds were also good, but I liked their chicken fingers the most -- they were long nicely seasoned although not overwhelming. It looked like there were games (or maybe people brought their games and played them together), can get a little loud depending on the friend groups that may also be there when you stop by so keep that in mind. Nice option if d you're in the area wane would like a city-ish brewery experience. read more

Saw a recommendation in the nudge that this place had yummy hot chocolate (optional to get it spiked) so came for a date night! It's so much bigger inside than I expected. I've been by here so many times. So glad we came! My only complaint is that is was SO loud (on a Tuesday night) from bingo in the back room that it was difficult to carry a conversation, however the overall vibe of this place is amazing! Love seeing queer bars in the city. Oh, and the hot chocolate was delicious! read more

We have been to Red Bear quite a number of times. Tonight's visit was quite disappointing. My wife and I had veggie burgers. They were $22 each (!), and were pretty awful (dried out and burnt veggie patties and burnt buns). I also had the mac and cheese, and it was virtually inedible. The beers were okay but overpriced. And then there was the pretty hefty service charge. We really want to like this place, but have come to the reluctant conclusion that the price far exceeds the quality. It's a tough business, and costs have gone up, but we feel like we've been ripped off. read more

This was really a 3.5. Had lunch here today after an REI run. Happy there was a patio so Fercha (see pic) could hang at lunch. Scanned the code on the table, ordered via phone, and picked up the food inside. Everything went super smoothly and there wasn't a long wait time. I ordered the summer salad which was good, except the grilled chicken was slightly dry. You know what wasn't? The fried tenders. They were breaded well, very juicy, and flavorful, so I took one of those to add to my salad. I have no regrets. The fam also liked their Reuben and fries. All in all, I'd try other items on the menu when I'm in the area again. read more

Pretty cool spot. My colleague hosted a happy hour gathering here and it was my first time coming. The food was good, I had the chicken sandwich (I forgot which one, I think there's two options). If you are not a beer person, they also have a full bar and a cocktail menu. The service was good I guess being that you are mainly using your phone to order and then getting your drink and food yourself. I did try the first cider option and it was pretty good. I wouldn't mind coming back for another social event, but if it was up to me. I wouldn't, brewery's are just not my thing. But I do recommend you to go, if it's yours. read more

We stopped by Red Bear Brewing for two rounds of beer before heading to dinner and had an okay time. It was the dissent (a hazy IPA) for me and the something about rosemary (a saison) for my husband. I love the vibes and energy of this place. Great food and drinks. Unfortunately though, it lost a star due to their misleading alcohol percentage on one of their drinks. Their menu represented a drink with 5.6% ABV, when it was actually 6.8% ( on the board). I brought this up to the staff working, and they did not seem to care. I came months later and still was not updated/changed. I like to drink lower percentage beers, so I was a lot more intoxicated than the way that I paced myself to be. read more

If you want tasty beers, a good time, and an accepting environment, look no further!! Red bear brewing was SUCH a wonderful surprise. I stepped in here Friday for a quick draft, having no prior knowledge of the spot. Right as I walked in, I noted the many supportive flags they had hanging from the ceilings and Ru Paul's drag race was on most TV screens, with the audio being belted out on the speakers. Come to find out, they have queens come out on Fridays for a viewing party and show. The place was packed, but we found a seat relatively easily. I only had one beer, the spruce almighty, but I enjoyed it. It reminded me a bit of the Sam Adams Octoberfest, but lighter. Based on signs around the space, it looks like drag shows (+/- brunch) and ASL trivia are pretty regular events. I look forward to bringing my friends and sharing the magic of this place with them! read more

This is one of my favorite breweries in the city, and has the best food menu by far! They have amazing events, fun can art, outside seating, and really great beer. I really love their chocolate peanut butter milk stout because I have a peanut butter problem...... but their other beers are good too. But more than anything, please get their food! Their chicken tenders are THE BEST that I ever had. Seriously. Get them with their peppercorn Mayo. You will be in heaven. Really cool and delicious brewery! From the beer selection to the food options, I highly recommend this spot! Cool spot. Went to REI to grab camping stuff and decided to stop by. On a Friday COVID night, pretty packed. I made a reservation online for the earliest time possible for after our shopping. We finished early (almost 45 minutes earlier than the reservation) and they were still able to seat us. The turkey wing is crazyyyyy. Loved the colorful carrots- perfectly cooked and the sauce was great too. The salad was pretty standard. Service was decent. Interesting that you put your order on a sheet of paper even though you have to download and pay on the app. Would be better if you can just order and pay on the app. Great time- sat next to some cool brewing (fermenting?) equipment. read more

Next stop of the night was here. We walked here from Wunder Garten. Lovely LGBTQ and Military owned restaurant. Seat yourself. Our table was barely cleaned and my friend had to get napkins to clean off the liquid. Menus are all QR scanned and correlates to your table. You have to go up to the PICK UP counter to get your food. Bathrooms were unisex and also included feminine pads for women!! :) A ton of TV screens and they were watching a RuPaul Drag Show. The audio for this was turned on 15 mins after we sat down, and it was really loud! lol There wasn't much physical interaction with employees so we ended up leaving. And I mean that by, a waitress/hostess, etc. it was kind of like once we were in there you were on your own. Plenty of outdoor seating and dogs welcomed outside! read more

Another quality establishment right here! I love Red Bear Brewing. This is such a fun place to hang out with your friends. The ordering process is pretty much what you'd expect nowadays. You can either order at the bar (straightforward), or you can order from your phone when you sit down. If you order from the bar, you'll be handed your drinks and an electronic buzzer that tells you when to get your food. If you order from your phone, you basically walk to the bar and get your drinks right away, and then they text you when your food is ready. I love that they offer flights here! The beers are always good, no matter what style you choose (and they have a variety)! I'm a fan of red ales, hazy IPAs, and ciders. They definitely have something for everyone here. The entertainment is on point for the LGBTQ crowd out there! A week ago, they had drag race playing on all the TVs.. It was so fun to watch drag race in public with people who hadn't seen it before. The food here is great, and the beers are top-notch. What else could you ask for? Oh, that's right - a clean bathroom. They have some of the CLEANEST bathrooms I have ever seen in a bar. Not only are they clean and stocked, but they are also decorated!! Some are themed, which is just such a cool touch. This is what I'm talking about when I say bars should have character! You can tell the staff care about the place and want to make it fun for everyone. Thanks Red Bear! read more

Came here to watch the last presidential debates. We had a reservation which is necessary in DC during Covid times. Beer was pleasant but I'm not a beer person who I can't give anymore deets on that. Raspberry cheesecake was excellent though. We had a great view of the large projection TV for the debates. Service was so friendly and consistent. Nice brewery. Not really any service so I couldn't understand why the lowest tip percentage was 18%? Food was good. My chicken in the salad was a bit dry, even the greens a bit dry, but fruit and avocado were fresh. Spray some water on this stuff and don't overcook the chicken. Wings were perfect and appeared grilled. I like the red bear atop DC monuments in their Ts but not enough variety in this with styles. Was going to buy a hoodie but the hood covered up the design on the back. Think they can definitely sell more merchandise. read more
