At one point, a woman with a couple of children came and sat down at one of the tables by the lazy river. I don't know what was said, but the mother slapped the girl on the cheek. The other girl said that man (referring to my husband) saw you do that. The girls and the woman stayed for a while and then went off to look for someone. They came back and spent a little time at the lazy river. The mother sat on the steps to the lazy river and vaped. Clear signs are posted that say no smoking or vaping. Eventually, they left, leaving a messy table area full of trash from all the food and drinks. A breeze blew a couple chip bags into the lazy river. Not what I enjoy finding while I'm trying to relax. It's not only children who can be disruptive and irresponsible. In this case, it was the adult. While lifeguarding does not have to be part of the lazy river experience; management needs to monitor and stroll through these areas at least every half an hour. And shortly after this event, another event occurred. A very loud group of people came through the gate. A very drunk mother holding a glass Smirnoff vodka drink bottle was trying to climb on a husband or boyfriend's back because she was so drunk she couldn't walk. Several children were with them, and several other adults followed. They were making their way to one of the poolside tables of the lazy river. All of a sudden, there was a loud crash and the cooler that one gentleman was carrying fell to the ground, and the lid opened up. Glass bottles of beer and vodka drinks along with ice spilled out and broke all over the deck of the lazy river. Broken brown and white glass bottles were near the edge of the lazy river. Someone slipped on the mess and there was blood. They were rapidly trying to clean it all up while they laughed and giggled. Anytime there are clear glass shards, it's very possible that some may have landed in the water. It is impossible to say that no shards are in the water. We made a phone call to try to report the incident to the Jellystone head office. No one answered the phone so we left a message. As we left, we waved down a RV resort worker who went into action immediately. We went to the other pool to get away from the situation. We knew that going into the lazy river with a possibility of glass shards was not something we wanted to experience. We hoped that the RV park would close the lazy river immediately. Most recommendations say that the pool or water area needs to be drained and vacuumed and cleaned. Then it can be refilled with water and reopen to the public for use. Anyone with questions can call Jellystone and ask if that preventative measure was accomplished. I'm not sure that the lazy river was ever shut down. We drove by a couple hours later and there were still people in the exact same area where the ice chest had been dropped. It makes my stomach turn to think that the same scenario could've happened anytime in the past. I don't know what we were floating in. I'm hoping it was a safe, lazy river. ?? So again, I say, management needs to stroll and observe all of these pool areas at least every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes. Again, the adults were at fault. The children were not being managed or watched in anyway. The rules of the pool and the RV park were being broken. Anyone with questions should call Jellystone RV Park and ask if the lazy river is safe to use. By the way, the obnoxious family was removed from the lazy river, I guess. They ended up at the other regular swimming pool. We called the RV main office again to report that they were drinking out of glass bottles at that pool. I don't know what happened to them. Evidently they weren't escorted off the premises after the fiasco at the lazy river.

I had just texted my dad for the code and the owner pulled up next to us and yelled "If you don't know the code, Then you don't enter!". Then we proceeded to explain what was wrong and just backed up and corrected ourselves because another car was coming out and he jumped out and walked over to yell "Yall are not coming in!". They have an on-line booking but we couldn't see a place to request a pull-thru or to get any offered discounts. We made the reservation on-line after several dropped connections; unsure if it's my cell service in Lufkin or their line. We booked a back-in site since no pull-thru sites are available for our stay. The confirmation came by e-mail quickly. I searched the Garmin GPS for the address and it took awhile to find it. Try address number 10502 and street name FM 2410 in Belton TX if you also have trouble. It would have been nice if alternate directions due to construction on the Interstate were in the e-mail but we skipped a few exits and came back on the other side. Our first visual impression is positive. We checked in and one guy gave me backing up directions that got me right into the spot. This was very helpful for me since we've only been RVing for 5 weeks and prior to that I'd never towed anything. The roads are asphalt, the pads stone and the picnic table pads concrete. The picnic tables are nice. The water pipe is insulated. Wi-Fi is slow at times. There's no local road traffic noise and an occasional distant train. They have a playground, dog park, sheltered (roof and three sides) picnic area with five tables, kids pool, hot tub, some outdoor exercise equipment and Amazon Lockers. It appears they are expanding.

We had an ant issue and they ended up getting into our rv and we lost some food over it. My kids got bit a few times as well, because the ants got in their clothes. The latest...I am a long term resident and spend $14,000 per year on my site rental. So far, $28,000. I have a premium site with ample room around my rig. 2 weeks ago another 5 th wheel pulled into the spot next door. And quickly erected a 10 x 10 x12 ft high solid wall tent and are using it to store an ATV and a big metal tool boxes. Management tells me it's compliant as they allow "dining canopies." this is not a canopy it is an encapsulated storage room. It is the only one at this campground. Many real "canopies" are here that you can see through and are about 8 feet high. When I walk in my front door, I see the 12 foot solid white wall from the bottom of my window to the top. That is all I see through 3 windows. To boot the RV on the other has 4 vehicles (2 are allowed.) Manager told me "as long as they all fit." So I have a white wall on one side and a wall of trucks on the other. What did I select a $1200 site just to have a tent 5 feet from my window.

So here we go The humans booked us right outside of Austin, Tx at the Sun Outdoors Lake Travis RV park and we have to say we give this place 's from a dog perspective one of the things we loved the most were the 3 dog parks, so space for all of us regardless of personalities. Each dog park has a few big trees for shade, picnic bench for the humans to sit & bags and trash close by. While there are no jungle gyms for us to play on, we are ok with that as that gives us more room to run off the crazies. Also no water bowls @ 2 of the parks, but the largest did have a water bowl along with a doggie wash station The park had nice wide roads throughout so the humans can walk us and if there are any other dogs, each can pick a side of the road if needed! Also a nice off road walking path. RV site - nice and enough room between RVs so you don't feel on top of your neighbor. Usually a tree or two per site, picnic table, and grass at our site. Only downside, no fire pit but it was warm out so we didn't really miss it. Humans are happy tho, 50amp service, great water pressure, and sewer available at each site AND daily trash pick up RV park - nice wide roads, no low overhanging branches, gravel site but level enough and enough room for a 42' trailer + truck Took about 20-40 mins to get to downtown Austin depending on traffic. Pool and jacuzzi for the humans, along with a airstream cafe at the pool! also a gym and a clubhouse, again for humans We would definitely stay here again, everyone was nice and the park was kept in great condition #bringfido

Our stay was ABSOLUTELY perfect! The guys at Templeton's Tavern get 5 stars for the friendliest and best service ever. They made us feel very welcome and right at home with many above-and-beyond moments like bringing us an extra pickleball racket to the court when they noticed another family member show up to play. The food and drinks were great. The games and pool table were super fun. We enjoyed the live weekend music from our patio while we cooked hotdogs and s'mores over the fire. Andrea was stellar with quick communication! Housekeeping gets 5 stars because it was really impressively clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. The grounds are well kept and we enjoyed hiking around and seeing the beautiful wildflowers. I can't say enough good things about this place. It is unique and combines all the beauty of nature with all the comforts of home and lots of attention to detail in decor and service. The container cabins are really very pretty and the spider sculptures are a neat touch. The sunset view is so amazing my tween girl ordered us all to the upstairs balcony to take it in.
