The beds were very comfortable and everything was super clean and just-so. The garden features a large Koi pond with several outdoor seating areas from which one can enjoy the plants and creatures that live here. I had a great time sitting on the upstairs veranda and watching the fish while I drank my morning coffee. Very quiet and restful! I'll definitely stay here again!

Prior to our arrival, Brandie contacted us and informed us that our original cabin reservation had been canceled due to reported bed bugs. We were reassigned to another cabin, assured it would be prioritized and ready before check-in, and told we could stay four days free of charge because of the inconvenience. After arriving and waiting for hours, we were finally allowed into the replacement cabin only to find dirty sheets stuffed in a closet, stained bedding, dirty and rusty kitchen utensils, and overall cleanliness concerns throughout the cabin. Given the circumstances surrounding the original cancellation, we did not feel comfortable staying and immediately left the property. We never stayed overnight. What happened next was even more frustrating. We were provided documentation showing a refund amount, leading us to believe the matter was being resolved. Later, Ashley with corporate informed us that we would also need to submit a refund request through Hipcamp. We followed those instructions, only to have the refund request denied by Brandie and Dickie (management) with Lake Buchanan Resort even after we had been provided a refund receipt and despite never staying at the property. The lack of communication, consistency, and accountability throughout this process has been unacceptable. We took time off work, purchased supplies and groceries, and planned our holiday weekend around this trip. Instead, we were left without a vacation, without a stay, and without the resolution we were led to believe had already been approved. Unfortunately, this experience was mishandled from beginning to end. Potential guests deserve to know exactly what happened before choosing to book here. Extremely disappointing experience and poor management. I do not recommend this place to anyone. We have kept records of all communications, refund documentation, and correspondence related to this matter. We hope management will review the situation and do what is right.

Some with just a Lean-to and some with just concrete pitches with no covers. I really like this area and it's fairly new as well. So, we just left Sky Ranch RV Park. Their website makes the place sound so awesome. But, then there…read moreis reality. This park is under new ownership for the last 2 years. There are roughly 50 functional sites. Many permanent folks. All very nice. However, with permanents you get lists of "stuff" piled up around the sites; broke down trucks, etc. The laundry/shower house is nice. Clean. There are 5 washers; all seemed to work. There are 5 dryers; 2 work. Good news the laundry is free. Take care of them. The security gate does not work so you do not need a code. It's okay, we never felt uneasy. There is no swimming hole. It's dried up and I don't think you really want to swim in it if it did. The fishing lake is beautiful and so clear you could see the fish. The property surrounding the campground is just so pretty. We were here 7 nights. All we kept saying to each other is, "this place has so much potential." Just pick up the trash, mow and kill the weeds. There are pieces of pipe and old sewer hoses just lying around. Finally, the RV sites are a little strange. There are two concrete strips to park on. For class RVs your jacks are not going to align, with the concrete. Anyway, when we first arrived we were a bit disappointed, but by the time we left we were like, "It's okay. It's a beautiful property and a campground with so much potential," I'm giving this camp 3 stars because it needs a little TLC.

We did a double take at the sign directing us to pull our travel trailer onto a runway, and looked both ways for aircraft. (We later learned the runway has been decommissioned.) The runway, which now serves as the main driveway, is a great option for evening walks. Location is pretty good - about a 15-minute drive to restaurants / stores in either Bertram or Liberty Hill, and about an hour to the wineries on 290. Area is secured by a gate - you'll get a contactless keycard when you check in. Private unisex bathrooms with showers for people and even an outdoor shower for your pet. There's a private ranch road (no motor vehicles allowed) for hikes. It leads to a refreshing swimming hole that is partially fed by a stream. Sit in one of the plastic lounge chairs and listen to the brook babble under your feet - or swim to the far edge for the "infinity pool" effect. The water is clear but the bottom is soft, so river shoes are helpful if you don't like the feeling of mud squishing between your toes. Walk further down to reach the lakeside patio, complete with water fountain and picnic tables. I encountered deer on almost every hike, but surprisingly not another soul. Nice place to enjoy a little solitude.

I did not see any concrete pads just grassy areas with hookups. No one was in the office that day so we just drove around. There is a picnic area available and bbq grills also. This area is down by the dock. There is a list of amenities posted at the office along with phone numbers. One can fish off the pier if they choose. There was one covered area to sit at if you bbq. On the whole it was clean but you always have that rogue camper who doesn't keep up his/ her pad area. Why is that?! There are conveniently located dumpsters. This location is near a Donut store, HEB, washateria, Dollar Store, Whataburger, Sonic, and several Mexican restaurants and Mr Gatti's pizza.
