Media stores seem to be rarer and rarer to come by these days, so when I came across this chain, I had a lot of excitement. They offer movies, games, game systems, vinyls, memorabilia, toys, electronics, and more. It's not just current media, but retro and classic media. It's a great store for a media buff. Service has always been nice and welcoming. My biggest focus on my visits have been 4k movies and steelbook. I always browse Blu-ray titles often. Each location has a different selection. Some days you'll find the titles you're looking for. Some days you'll find a gem you didn't expect to come across. Other days you'll strike out. This can cause some excitement when visiting as it's a mystery as to what you'll find. I've had some good finds for fair prices. Prices is one of the reasons for a middle of the road rating. I'm coming across used 4k movies that are priced the same or higher than I can find them brand new. This has killed a lot of the excitement in my recent visits. I've found some of the steelbooks to be priced fair, but many are overpriced by online retailer and even eBay reselling standards. If you're going to be a local store selling used items, you need to sell at reasonable prices to encourage repeat buyers. I still have my old retro game systems and do plan on looking at classic video games for the N64, Sega, Super Nintendo, and other systems. This is a great place to find games. I don't know on prices yet, but glad it's an option. The other aspect is the ability to sell or trade in media for credit. This is the other reason for the lowered rating. I've bought 4k movies that I just didn't enjoy and wanted to basically "trade up". Again, these are brand new movies watched once. You only get penny's for selling or trading in. Very disappointing to pay $15 one week and the next getting a trade in value of $4-5. I'd get more selling on Facebook marketplace and eBay, which is what I'll be doing in the future. Summing this all up, my review is very mixed. The nerd in me loves seeing what I'll come across, but the prices are far from worth it based on my movie searching experience. Online used is much cheaper.

I don't always find what I'm looking for but they have a great selection and I never leave empty handed. I can't say I've ever left the store without spending hundreds of dollars and the records are always in good shape well worth the expenditure. That being said I can't really say it's a real welcoming environment. I don't know what kind of crimes are being committed at the Elyria location but when I'm spending $500+ dollars at a time I expect beverages and snacks not being treated like I'm there to steal from them. I don't appreciate being approached by some kid with a face full of piercings that's more likely to rob me than I am to rob them demand I turn over the items I intend to purchase implying that I may or may not intend to steal. Yes I still spent over $500 and would have likely spent more if they didn't make me feel so uncomfortable. Customer service is lacking to say the least.

Im so thankful I took my gear to them instead of shipping it off to an authorized tech in NYC. They saved me several hundred dollars and did great work in a timely manner. This was on a custom hand made dj mixer from Australia with no manual to reference mind you. The variety of different gear they are able to work on is staggering. After I found their entrance it was smooth sailing. They also back their work for 30 days so you really can't go wrong. Highly recommended.

I would call them weekly and for the first month the response was we haven't gotten to it. Ok if work is ahead of me I accept that. because of my repeated calls I was told they would move me up on the list to have the tech make a diagnostic evaluation on it which never ever happened. Then after that it was BS about having to build some "special diagnostic software" to access the ethernet port on the back of the amplifier or equipment to make an assessment. they told me they couldn't get enough information from the manufacturer or off the Internet. I could except that for a repair are you telling me place that repairs amplifiers can't even do a general diagnostic evaluation on an amplifier for god sake?? Then finally after two months I called to just tell them I wanted to come pick up my amp and take it someplace else and their response was "we are out on the road for a week with the some band but we'll see if we can find anybody to let you in to the store so you can get your amplifier." what a joke this place is. They have no business whatsoever advertising home audio equipment repair. The only thing I got for my money was excuse after excuse about why they had done nothing and a bunch of BS. They could not even provide me a guess what might be wrong with it based upon a bench evaluation by one of their techs. It is really hard to find audio equipment repair shops nowadays as everything is disposable but I can tell you this, Pro Sound certainly isn't one of them! Stay away if you need stereo repair.

You can find new comics weekly, a sneaky good selection of back issues( always ask Brian he has the books nestled away) and some cool toys. The graphic novel selection is strong and i know he always throws a great party for Free Comic Book Day. When I was there we engaged in lively banter around the best new movies and TV shows. Trip Review - Comics Are Go Sheffield Elyria Border right…read morebehind Aldi's by Sugar Creek Restaurant. This is my homebase so I might be a little prejudice on the side of Comics Are Go and Eric Anderson. Comics Are Go. I've been going to Comics Are Go since it was under previous ownership with Scott and it was called "Astound" in Westlake, Ohio. I've had the pleasure of watching this shop grow out of its previous location in the same plaza and into bright and spacious space it is now in. Eric Anderson went from being a novice to journeyman comic guy and always a gentleman. First thing you'll notice when you walk in is how light/ well-lit the store is and how open the floor plan is. Comics Are Go was able expand and fill the space with so much good stuff. They have so many back issues plus so many hidden back issues, it's dizzying. Be sure to ask what you're looking for. On the west side of Cleveland, there is probably not a Comic Shop that has more silver, gold and bronze comics available, including slabbed/ graded books. I believe they may have one of the largest selections of variant comics also. If you're a very collector, it's definitely worth your drive. They get new comics every Wednesday, they're always stocked with supplies and their Funko pop wall is amazing. They've also curated a large selection of graphic novels. I'm always mesmerized by the amount of toys that they have and their fantastic selection of statues and busts. And remember when you're looking at the wall books, they probably have 10 times that amount of wall books available or more. Be sure to ask for what you're looking for. I'm sure Eric or Ed will be able to find it for you. Recently, they put together a section of manga so if you're looking for some manga on the west side, Comics Are Go is your place. Every year Eric throws a big shindig for free comic book day, I am sure this year he is going to have special artists and creators. Plus he's gonna have a ton of free comics. Be sure to stop in. There are always shenanigans to be had.
