Paul at Allied worked with me over the course of four months figuring out the best way to deal with the problem. The solution was a channel drain that would lead to my existing gutter drainage system. Because of the topography of my existing driveway, I assumed that there would still be a fair amount of puddling even after the drain was installed and that I would just have to live with it. In the days just after the install however, it rained quite a bit, and the drain worked pretty much perfectly. The puddling has been reduced by about 95%, and the water that does collect is shallow enough to handle easily. After the rain stops, the remains evaporate after a few hours. The small lake that I used to have to walk around is gone. The guys who did the install were professional and very courteous and Paul was very knowledgeable and patient in response to my many, many questions and emails leading up to the install. Would definitely recommend Allied for any project, large or small.

We've recommended them to countless friends and relatives over the years whenever homeowners in Seattle inevitably need help dealing with drainage issues. We've sung their praises to people on forums seeking help finding the best company to help them deal with drainage and repair jobs. Never again. Even if we set aside the fact that our last annual service appointment took almost 9 months (with four reschedules and three no-shows) to actually happen, this company is no longer even able to bill correctly for work that has been completed. We've now gotten three invoices in a row that are not only the incorrect amount, but they're for a bill that we paid in full back in February. They're not even system glitches for an old bill in the system: someone literally created a brand new invoice for the wrong amount and for services that we've already paid for, and they did it after we paid in full. No one ever answers the phone. No one calls back. We just keep getting texts with this wrong invoice over and over. The last response we had about this was in an email on April 1st, and all it said was that Ryan (the owner) had recently fired the back-end staff person who'd screwed up all the scheduling for 2024 and that he'd asked another person to handle the invoices. No apology, no attempt to resolve, and (most importantly) no follow up since then from anyone at PermaDry to actually fix the incorrect invoice that we keep receiving. We've stuck with the absolutely terrible customer service for over a year now because we didn't want to invalidate the warranty we have for the work they've done for us, and we've tried to have patience since they've done great work in the past. At this point, though, it's probably going to be better in the long run for us to just let that go and move on to picking someone else for future household needs. Do yourself a favor and choose another company.

I previously had an excellent experience with Terra Firma for management of a water problem in my crawlspace. I hired them without question again for my current property for management of moisture issues, and I didn't check their work upon completion as thoroughly as I should have. Unfortunately, about 1 - 2 months after completion of work, I discovered a large mushroom growing out of one of the structural posts in my crawl/basement. On closer inspection, I noticed that the dehumidifier water discharge line they installed was dumping less than a foot away from my foundation, corresponding to the exact spot the mushroom was growing. Moisture was the exact problem they were supposed to fix, but now they have created a severe structural problem secondary to moisture with the dehumidifier line dumping large quantities of water right next to my foundation. In other words, they created the exact issue they were purporting to fix by collecting the moisture and depositing it into my foundation. Once fruiting bodies are growing out of wood, this is an indicator that the wood is severely compromised and the fungus network has grown extensively. I now have a very expensive and serious problem to fix. I called to let them know about the problem, not sure if I will hear back from the coordinator/ the team who did the work. I am not sure if I would trust them to fix the issue after the damage they have caused, but I would accept financial remediation. If they take steps to make things right, I would update my review. I would not hire Terra Firma again for any crawlspace work, be it structural or moisture related because of the big problem they have caused. Again, just would like to warn others.

In total I paid $2000 for them to break my irrigation system and have 1/2 my yard die. I had another company who dug up the backflow valve and showed that rainpros disconnected half my irrigation system and were clearly responsible. Now I am waiting on Tim Buiten to grow a spine take fault, instead of just my money. Don't let this shady company take your money. They quoted her $2,000+ for a…read moresiding repair and instead convinced her that it would cost $14,000 to side a 30 foot section with FENCE boards. They charged her for siding but used 8 foot cedar fence boards. They didn't even remove the end tags. The install is horrible with large gaps and no flashing around the window. They left their trash behind for us to clean up, nailed her porch light up instead of installing it properly and nailed through the wire causing us to have to replace it and hire an electrician. They never returned to finish the gutter repair the charged her for and will not return our calls to resolve the issues. Use at your own risk!
