I highly recommend Sergio Luis for any floor work you might need!…read more A couple of weeks ago, my tenant (who lives in my single condo unit in Washington, DC--I live in Los Angeles now), contacted me to say that the wood floors in the foyer near the utility closet had "raised up." I don't know any flooring folks so I went to Yelp and posted my need for a flooring expert to go out to the apartment and assess the situation. Sergio Luis from Artistic Hardwood Floors responded in a timely fashion. I noted they had great reviews--which is the first thing I look for--and he went out to the property later that day. As suspected, the raised floors were due to an HVAC leak in the utility closet. Long/short, Sergio's crew took out the floor and subfloors on Thursday, 7/3 and finished the work today, 7/7 (the concrete underneath needed time to dry plus it was the holiday weekend). The picture he sent of the finished product looked good. I don't know how much it costs to replace hardwood floors and blend them with the existing floors, but the price seemed fair to me. He also connected me with his long-time colleague, a plumber and HVAC technician to work on that piece, so it felt like a full-service situation going on, which was really helpful. Apparently plumbers and HVAC experts have a symbiotic relationship, which makes sense--Sergio had already surmised, even with the floors being dry and before he went to my condo, that it was an HVAC leak responsible for the raised floors. What I appreciated the most about Sergio was his communication (prompt and courteous), his thoroughness in explaining the situation and the work that needed to be done, and just his help overall since I live 3,000 miles away. He was very kind and helpful. And, they are professional experts at what they do. I am definitely keeping his information in my phone moving forward!

He picked the table up and returned it. For those of you who do not know what a drum table is, the center of the table goes around. Mine was badly broken causing the top to be very tilted. I told Mr Burkett, if he could not fix the table to turn and just have the top be connected to the part that turns, I would have him do the job. He came over and looked at it and said he was pretty confident he could fix it. I also have my grandmother's secretary and one of the doors was too warped to close, he fixed that too and now it closes perfectly.

The bathtub in our 1982 home had been reglazed once before but was now chipping off in the bottom. There was a reasonable fee for the repair work he did first and then he sanded and taped plastic over everything like a mini paint booth. He stopped to confirm the color and level of gloss I wanted and got back to work. I was really happy when he used a ventilation device with an 18" flex pipe that went out the closest bedroom window that really kept the extreme smell to a minimum. He also added a sand-like material to make the bottom portion non-slip. I highly recommend Top Reglazing for their reasonable pricing, quality workmanship and for doing what they said they would do, which can be hard to come by in this area.
