He liked the bbq pork bun, but said the bread tasted better than the pork enclosed inside, so he wished he only ate the bread, part. Hee. The other cake was a green tea one and it smooth and tasty too. The ambiance was busy and they had a beautiful mural along the far right side. All their tables were full, so I didn't want to be rude and take a picture of other customers, but I liked how the line to the register separated the bakery area and the sitting area. Measures maybe two and a half inches diameter, an inch thick. Packs a wonderful wowie punch with the seasonally ripe berries and fruit, plus a few pieces of specialty chocolate. My friend who knows from excellent pastries says the goods at C and W are special because the sugars in each item are balanced, not excessive. The goodies we sampled together were scrumptious. Somehow even my pedestrian palate senses that these dessert thingies are distinctive and of ultra quality. Ambiance-wise, it's a noisy place with a few tables lining the windows. You are elbow to elbow practically against neighbouring tables. I know I heard every syllable of the conversation going on to my right-hand side. I also knew it was Korean, so I couldn't successfully eavesdrop... boooooo. Very unique metallic artsy fashioned chairs make the space seem modern. There's merch in the corner and on a wall. You can get coffee drinks too. Service is excellent: the majestically tall staffer -- who I thought was manager but isn't -- was the kindest friendliest soul, very pleasant to chat with. However, when walking over he looked at me without asking me if I was ready and upon entering my order tossed his pen on the counter in front and the clipboard behind him. He then proceeded to stand behind the barista on his phone while eating one of the pastries. She met with us a couple times to discuss designs and our vision. She was extremely gracious despite the many changes- I was extremely indecisive. I couldn't decide on our cake size or how many desserts to have at our dessert table (my eyes are bigger than my stomach and I wanted way too much). Amanda helped me select the type of dessert she felt would make sense and also be visually pleasing. A month before the wedding, I finally settled on wedding cake design...or designs. Amanda provided her input, incorporated the different designs I wanted and even tweaked the design and it turned out better than what I (and my husband) wanted. She was a sweetheart from start to finish. Aside from her amazing personality her cakes and desserts are amazing! All of our guests were raving about the desserts and especially the cake.
