In my experience, it is very uncommon to work with a company that impresses you with exceptional customer service from the initial call to request a quote to the completion of a project. Rebuild Arizona is the company that did this for me. I called to request a quote and they promptly returned my call to schedule a visit at a time convenient for me. At the agreed upon time, Elvis, the owner, arrived with Corey, one of the team members, to review the project. They provided detailed information on the work that would need to be performed and the cost. It was all very professional and, I must say, quite impressive. When I accepted the quote, a date and time to complete the project was set. Elvis, Corey, and Chase arrived on time and began the work. They kept me updated on what was being done to correct the problems. In my situation, the issue was several doors not closing appropriately, one of the doors being my very large, very heavy front door. When all work was complete, they invited me to check each of the doors to ensure it was working as I expected. They completed all of the necessary paint touch ups and did a very thorough clean up. I found this company on Yelp, they were excellent at communication, they showed up promptly from the first day when i got my quote, and their work looks great. My tile backsplash was put in by a wizard, it's what I dreamed the remodeled kitchen would look like. I think they had my old kitchen torn out in less than three hours. Great Experience with Elvis and his crew, Corrye and Chase. Elvis gave me an estimate for a repair of a set of exterior French doors that hadn't completely shut or locked for over a year. He scheduled my repair for 2 weeks later with only a 30-minute time frame for arriving which was amazing. I received an invoice the day of the estimate via email with details of the expected repairs. They called 45 min. prior to arrival and worked for the next 3 hours non-stop, no breaks. Elvis is detail oriented, so everything was checked and explained to me as the work was being completed. Elvis, Corrye and Chase couldn't have been more friendly or comfortable to have in my home. The three men worked well as a team. Many adjustments had to be made because the door wasn't originally installed correctly in any way and is now 25 years old. They made each adjustment, changed the locks, and hinges, rehung the doors and even though there was a lot of extra work, the original estimate was honored. Corrye and Chase cleaned everything including the floor, carpet and windows on the door prior to leaving. I immediately received a final invoice via email showing payment made in full. We had Elvis come out to close off a pony wall on our loft and install a ceiling fan. His team was great! They also added a new outlet in our loft. They fixed some questionable electrical wiring that was done by the previous owners of the house. They also added on patching some drill holes in our wall, they dry walled our half finished dog-door installation and added a new outlet in our living room for a TV, all for free. Compared to the other quotes we received these guys were the best option! There were some issues with the finished product but their response time was immediate and they came back out within 2 days. There were then some issues with matching the paint color but again their response time was immediate and they came out 2-3 days both times! If I could give this company 100 stars, I absolutely would. We originally called them out to fix a pocket door but ended up hiring them to do repair work from a flood we just finished dealing with insurance. They came out the same day took all the information they needed and we received a quote after a couple hours. Junior, the supervisor, spoke with us and adjustments were made - as soon as we agreed on the work order a plan was made for them to come out and cut into the walls so make sure we weren't working with any mold. The next day work got started - they communicated every single step of the way. Elvis, the owner was there for most of the work. He and his crew were all incredibly friendly and dealt with our dogs (who can be pretty vocal) with good humor. We have a house that needs a lot of work and Junior and Elvis were more than happy to talk us through other projects and offer suggestions. Top notch service! Here's why... I used Elvis for 2 jobs so far, at my parents' house, and will be using him for many more. He first added new doorknobs and locks to their front and back door, having to drill out solid door holes for them to fit. The second job was cutting out rusted wrought iron fence pieces and replace them with aluminum. Everyone else wanted to tear it all down and replace with a new one, and that would cost too much money for me. My mom's front fence looks great now and I don't worry about anyone getting cut on it when they walk by. Would not recommend. They abandoned the job and charged too much for too many mistakes. Leaks all over, I had to redo a lot of the work myself and hire a professional to reinstall the shower door. I will be putting a formal complaint with the AZROC for no license and job abandonment. Elvis three times told us he was a licensed GC. When you look them up on the AZROC they are nowhere to be found. Definitely not a dream but a horrible nightmare. Maisa, thank you for your response. The last text I sent Elvis (4/22/22) asking to come finish the job he said he would get back and that had been over a month. He never got back to me. The piping that we discussed I told Elvis not to do it that way and he did it anyways. Elvis was the one saying it would work, not me or Kelle. And no I have not paid the rest because again, the job was ABANDONED. When a job is abandoned the job won't get paid. In everything we discussed through text, in person, and over the phone, it was not completed on your end. We just moved into a new home in Scottsdale and needed repairs to an electric sliding door in our Kitchen (before we moved in someone had accidentally triggered the door to open while it was still locked and ripped the frame off the wall slightly, along with the tile at the baseboard. Elvis and Maisa were responsive, he came out that day to look at the job, gave us a reasonable estimate and was back first thing the next morning to fix it. Elvis and his team came to our house to do a list of repairs in June 2021. They did some dry wall, grouting, and painting, and some other miscellaneous tasks. The whole thing was supposed to take them two full days, but they did it in one afternoon. It seemed like they rushed through things, but at the time of their departure everything looked good enough (a few things should have been cleaned up better, but overall it was fine). The whole thing cost us around $2500, which was a higher price than some other companies had offered, but worth it for what we hoped would be a high-quality job. After a few months, the cracks they had fixed were back in the drywall, so we asked Elvis to come back to fix things again. He did it at no additional cost to us. Again, we were mostly happy with the work they did and we appreciated that he came back to fix things. Now, in January 2022, all of the cracks are back in the drywall and some in the grouting, and the paint job looks very bad (see photos). Overall, it feels like we spent a lot of money and things look just as bad, and in some cases worse, than they had before they came. read more

Elvis did a great job at my home and rental. I will use him in the future. He had timely responses, was friendly, and did what he said.

My regular handymen were out of town for the holiday. My second option was to use an alternative contractor but they were booked for two months. The third option was to use Dream Builder. They came out, review the list of items, gave us a pricey quote and said they weren't able to start until after the holiday. At that point, I should've said no thank you and wait for our handymen. Instead, we moved forward with Dream Builder. Overall, they did a poor job. One of the two guys shouldn't be in this business. He didn't know how to sand or stain wood. Both were done against the grain. In addition, he used all the stain as if it was paint. I had to strip it, resand and restain. Oh, money well spent.... As for Elvis, he didn't texture the wall and, when we asked, he told us that it'll look textured once the paint dried. Are you kidding me?! You can see that it's not textured when it's wet. One positive thing out of this job was finding out a wire was dead so we asked Elvis to ground it to be safe. read more

We have one of those trash cabinets that slide in and out on 18" rails. He seemed like he was in a hurry then said it was the bearings when they were working fine before. He added a little ledge to store trash bags, which was nice, but the trash does not slide in and out and what the problem is he reassembled the box off center. My kids and mom can even open it. I assumed I was paying some $200 to fix my trash and not make excuse and bail when the job isn't done. You can clearly hear wood rubbing, not railing. read more
