After discussing different email servers that he thought would provide me with what I wanted, I decided on Proton Plus with no ads which he promptly installed. He fixed my email client that had not for several days delivered my emails to me from my old server. Lastly he helped me find an ethernet over power line product that allowed me to connect to my printer in another room without using WiFi. If you are a senior citizen who is computer challenged, you need to call Noah when you have a computer problem. He is patient, knowledgeable, respectful, and has an eye toward keeping cost down with his suggestions.

Jacob, one of the owners, answered the phone and was sympathetic but skeptical given what I told him about my situation. Nonetheless, he connected me with them as his "go to" laptop team, and after a few minutes on the phone with Leslie I knew I was in good hands. They picked up my laptop from my house, Garrett performed a heroic deep clean, and--miracle of miracles--the motherboard survived! Only the keyboard needed replacing and they put in the order for me. Meanwhile, Garrett returned the laptop personally so I could keep working with an external keyboard and reassured me that my laptop was going to be as good as new once the new keyboard was installed. When it arrived, I got a call and they worked around my schedule, picked it up on a Saturday morning, and delivered it fully repaired that same afternoon--ahead of schedule. Professional, friendly, patient, and downright magical--Garrett and Leslie are the tech superheroes you hope to find when disaster strikes. If you have electronics that need saving, call Mad Hatters immediately and ask for them. Seriously, don't risk anyone else. If I could give them more than five stars I would!

I was writing on a deadline and my computer's hard drive froze up (I didn't realize it wasn't…read moresyncing with Google Drive). I went to a couple of bigger name computer repair sources and they both said essentially:: "For ____, we can look at your problem. Then for ___ we can try to transfer your hard drive data, but it sounds like you'll probably lose everything. Then for ___ we'll replace your OS, which means you'll have to re-install all your programs as well as any lost files. Did we say you'll lose everything? Oh, and it'll be 3-5 days." I called Greg at Comtek and we arranged to meet so I could give him my hard drive. He called THAT SAME EVENING with the good news that he was able to repair the hard drive issues and link me back up with Google Drive. He even copied the file I needed onto a disk. That kind of service is why I'll call Comtek first from now on.
