They installed brake hardware incorrectly, and after bringing it to their attention, I gave them several opportunities to fix the issue. Despite that, I've received no response at this point. Another mechanic, who I called for an unrelated issue, noticed the poor brake installation right away and recommended I get the original shop back out to correct it--which still hasn't happened. To make matters worse, the guide pins and other metal-to-metal contact points were not greased properly with fresh grease, which is basic brake service 101. It's incredibly frustrating to pay for work that isn't done right, especially when the company won't stand behind it. I hope they take this seriously and improve how they handle both service and communication.

One time, when my wife dropped the car off for repairs and decided to walk to a nearby store to wait, she got stranded at the store because it started raining. He does not do the work quickly, he takes the time and does it right. He got my truck and spent a week researching any recalls before starting work, to make sure I didn't have to pay for a repair before starting. I had a rebuilt trans shipped to Neese Transmission, and during the install, the valve body was bad from the new transmission I bought, He let me know and was fair in the install price. The amount for the repair was a little more than his estimate, but it was a 4 wheel drive pickup install, so this was more complicated than most transmissions. I recommend this shop for folks who need transmission service.

Never had as many problems just trying to get a reasonably accurate estimate from any auto repair shop as this one. The process with four other shops I checked out for the same repairs using same description went smoothly, so not sure why it was so difficult for RNJ. Needed a simple headlight replacement, installation of a new combo meter (circuit board that displays speedometer and odometer), and a quote for an engine swap on a Prius. The woman who provided a two hour quote for the combo meter, Nancy J., didn't know what one was - which is understandable - but apparently couldn't be bothered to look it up. On July 15 promised to get me a quote on the engine swap the next day, then almost two weeks later (July 27) said still didn't have it. Rather than being somewhat apologetic for not following up as promised, her reply was seething with sarcasm. Things rarely turn out well, in my experience, when a company is this careless and puts someone who doesn't understand the fundamentals of customer service as your first point of contact. It's not uncommon for these companies to exercise poor judgment in other aspects of the business as well. Bottom line: Service leaves much to be desired and prices not very competitive. Too many shops out there who are eager to earn your business and extremely capable to put up with this level of carelessness and sarcasm. Is this shop better than a dealership as mentioned in several of the positive reviews? Sure. But that's setting the bar really low.
