After I paid him upfront for the parts (didn't have an issue with that) on August 22, I was told he would have the parts by Tuesday the 9th of September (18 days after supposedly ordering them, but okay)... I texted him on Wednesday the 10th asking when I should expect him. He texted back said he had been sick and asked if Friday the 12th would work. Told him sure. Friday comes and he doesn't show. I text him back and no response. This continues through the ENTIRE following week with no response from him. He finally shows up on the 19th (nearly an entire month after we first agreed he would do the job). I paid him via CashApp for the labor and figured that was the end of the situation. When he left, I was happy, finally had some air conditioning in the truck. My happiness was short-lived, because by Monday it was back to blowing hot air (no freon). So of course, I texted him and finally Wednesday the 24th he said he would try to get to me by the weekend (26-27 September), of course that didn't happen. He texted me again on the 29th saying he would "try and make it today".... Finally on the 30th of September he made it back over to redo his work. Everything since then was fine until last Sunday, May the 17th. The AC started blowing hot air again (obviously the system has sprung another leak). I've attempted to contact him via text every day since then with absolutely no response. Oh, and for those of you wondering why I'm texting him instead of calling, he doesn't answer the phone and hasn't even bothered to set up a voicemail. If you have an AC issue, find someone else. I'm fed up with this nonsense. Thinking about small claims court, but at this point I just need some AC.

After my initial stress and panic I finally called Redferns. Chris answered and got to me within 25 minutes. Intially this was a mobile service and when he got there, he then told me he had to get his tow truck and take it back to his shop. He got it back there with no additional cost. It had to stay iver night because it was late. However, today he called me around noon said he found the initial issue and fixed that too. Gave me a very humble and honest review of what needs attention to my vehicle after having saved me in this stressful circumstance. Thank you so much Chris! Truly an earth Angel. To be fair to their mechanics, I do believe they do decent work. But on two occasions, I've had…read morerepairs done there, and in both cases, the final cost FAR exceeded what I was quoted. And what bothered me the most was I had told them after the first time, to PLEASE call me if the repair was going to more than quoted. The second time it happened I asked for the manager/owner and he really didn't seem to care one way or another. It was like, "well, sorry dude but that's how much we charge." Further, the second repair would have cost $50 at Freedom Motorsports which is about 20 minutes away, but R&R charged $130. I think the whole "trike" thing has gone to their heads. And in looking at the prices for accessories in their shop, EVERYTHING is overpriced. I don't get it??? They seem to stay busy in spite of all this??? I guess that's why they keep doing it. But don't go there unless you like overpaying for virtually everything. Other shops not too far away are way more reasonable. I'd love to support my local Jasper cycle shop R&R, but I feel ripped off. Never again.

This shop is a joke. Was given a 2 to 3 week turnaround for a broken shifter, ended up taking 2 1/2…read moremonths. We were charged $1250/10 hours of labor after requesting a full motor rebuild, only gaskets and oil filter were replaced. Says he threw in a clutch but it is not on the receipt. Receipt does not even have his business name on it. We were not given a call when the bike was opened up to let us know that pistons were within tolerance and would not be replaced. He did not keep and show us any broken parts which is the norm for other shops. Charged for an oil filter... THIS BIKE DOES NOT HAVE AN OIL FILTER?!!!!!! Numerous parts hand tightened and scary loose, very very very dangerous. We now have other issues from parts that were removed and are very nervous to even ride it Now. Good thing we checked his work. Save yourself the trouble and take your money elsewhere!!

He is more than fair in his pricing, extremely qualified and won't try to sell you something you don't need. I don't think there is a motorcycle he can't figure out how to repair. Whether it is something mundane like tire replacement and oil changes, or something more challenging like electrical trouble shooting, I won't consider anywhere else. I'm old school, but so are great mechanics like Rich --- they taught themselves.
