This time we ordered the specials which come with empanada (potatoes and chorizo), mussels in some sort of "curry" like sauce, and and braised short rib with rice (you can also choose mashed potatoes instead of rice). You order at the counter, so we pay ahead. The verdict: wow. Everything was just wow. Such a great combination of food, I shared it with my bf and the whole thing was $31 before tax and tip. It was so good. The empanada was probably one of the best one in the city (the only contender is selva's empanada), the mussels were so good and the sauce too. Short rib with rice was amazing. It has more fat than meat lol but still really delicious. We brought our dog and they have a front patio with high chairs. It was a nice day so it worked out perfectly. The neighborhood is a little "sketchy" to me, this restaurant is literally surrounded by dive bars. I would imagine if they were located in downtown or 4th st, or Belmont then it would be so packed.
