I had consistently had my lash extensions done after work by Melissa prior to her joining this practice. About three months after she started here, my usual appointment time was suddenly no longer available to me without any advance notice. When I tried to book, I simply received a "sorry, not available." Unfortunately, I cannot leave my job in the middle of the day to get my lashes done. As a long-time client of Melissa, it felt like there was little consideration for my time or loyalty from either Rebecca Ryan Studios or Melissa herself. If my preferred appointment time was no longer going to be offered, a simple heads-up would have been appreciated. This studio came recommended by my hairstylist. After doing much research, I liked the work done by the studio. When I contacted the studio to ask questions, the woman who answered the phone had a very poor attitude and was very short with me. She was extremely condescending. I was turned off COMPLETELY. I've been to many makeup artists over time but no one I've ever met has the talent and knowledge Rebecca has. She is up on every current trend and there is no look she can't do. She changed the look of my face with her brow shaping and did it FAST too. She had the entire shape changed after one visit. I'm a makeup girl and really pride myself in keeping up to date on new makeup looks and techniques and she knows everything from classic and simple to dramatic looks. I only wish she was around during my youth and wedding to do my makeup through all of my big events in life, but I'm just glad I found her. If you need makeup or brows (she even does brow tattooing!) I just had microblading done with Rebecca and the process was fantastic. First, she's taking new precautions due to Covid and I felt like everything in the entire salon was very clean and well maintained. Everyone is wearing masks and it's very clear she takes the health and safety of her clients seriously. The microblading experience itself was amazing. Rebecca took time with me to understand what I wanted my brows to look like including how I usually wear my makeup and what kind of daily look I wanted. She carefully drafted something out and made sure I approved before she started. She showed me all of the tools and explained the process in detail. She was also very friendly and easy to talk to, which is nice because the initial microblading does take several hours. I felt like we were old friends by the time I was done. I couldn't believe the finished result. They were better than any brows I could have imagined or ever done myself with makeup. The individual hairs look so real that my husband got up close when I came home and honestly couldn't tell which were real hairs and which were the drawn on ones. Rebecca also sends you home with a cute brow care packet and very detailed (and written!) instructions on how to care for your brows. It was a great experience and I would recommend her to anyone! read more

I'll start this review by stating I did not use Rebecca as my final makeup vendor for my wedding. I booked Rebecca months in advance of my wedding, after having a trial with her. I will say, she was flexible with me during the trial as I was almost an hour late due to unforeseen circumstances. The trial went well and she did not rush through it, allowing me to try a few styles. That's about where the "pros" end. The cons are... she only books business and responds to clients via her Facebook page which is not a convenient method of conducting business. She is also very unresponsive. It was not uncommon for days to go by before I received a reply to my questions. The last straw for me was when I tried to confirm the details for the day of and did not receive a response for 2 weeks. When I followed up on that message, Rebecca advised she would not be able to be at our venue at the time I requested, but much earlier due to other obligations (which was a surprise to me). When I tried to send another message, it took another few weeks for her to get back to me. By this time, it was only 3 weeks before my wedding and she had still not confirm important details. At that point, I'd had enough and decided to find someone else. I ended up booking with Dylan Michael whom I would HIGHLY recommend!! read more
