The place is very clean, which I think is a plus. Some of the spa places might be a bit ghetto looking, definitely not this one. The staff were very friendly and professional. The staff start off checking my scalp with the machine. Then my massager lead me to the room to prep for session. I believe my massager is Amy. She was really good with my massage. She definitely target my tensed shoulders and trying to break the knots. I really enjoyed that massage. After my 1hr massage, I was asked to sit up while she quickly transform the massage bed to a head spa bed. I thought that was pretty cool because I don't have to get out of the bed and wrap myself around and walk from room to room. The head spa was a little different than my other experience. I believe because Mulan head spa actually use Chinese herbal tea to soak your hair and scalp. I end up falling asleep in and out during my head spa. I'm not sure if it's the Chinese herbal tea or their hair product they use, but after that head spa, my hair feels silky smooth for days! And way less hair knots I get. I do highly recommend trying this place out, especially for their massage. Surely ask for their membership or group packages to get a better deal for your spa.

There is a slight curl, but that's it. I ended up with a really red eye for two days after the second time. The first time there was no head or neck massage. The second time there was, so that was a nice added touch. I might give them another chance to see if I can get the same results as the first time. I feel as though I wasted $95 for the second time; that was the price with the tip.

The room she was working in was dirty. Hair all over the floor(yes, understanding it IS a wax place but you could sweep before the next customer), dirty counters where she was working with the wax, looked unprofessional. She rushed the wax. My skin teared. My skin was more irritated than it had ever been in previous wax sessions there. She didn't let the wax sit, she was trying to rip it off while it was still very wet on my hair which made the process feel rushed. She went over and over the same spots more than three or four times which caused my skin to tear and I have multiple cuts and chaffing in the area I was waxed. I had a Brazilian done. I'm very uncomfortable and I'm in pain. Aside from the wax; when checking out- I had a wax package through European wax which apparently was "canceled" when I signed up for it over the summer and no one cared to inform me that it had been canceled. No email, no phone call, nothing. So when I arrived I thought it would have been taken care of come check out. So I had to start that process all over again and pay the 105$. Very displeased with my visit.

Seriously in need of a change in salons and hair philosophy I wanted to try someone different so I took fellow Yelper Sari Marissa G's suggestion of trying TNT. So glad I did because she was spot on in her review and in the suggestions she gave me about trying TNT. The salon is right off of Bustleton Avenue and you may drive right by it because it's on the second floor. But once you find it there's plenty of parking in the back and some out front. The salon is really pretty and set up well. Separate areas are set up for shampoo, coloring and styling. I actually like that. Not being stuck in one place for a couple of hours while The coloring process takes place. Everyone there was very friendly and it seems like a happy place to work. Trish my stylist has been with them many years and I must say the way she worked on my hair she impressed me as being an artist in her chosen field. She took the time to listen to my hair concerns about what I wanted to accomplish, what I had done in the past and how I needed a bit of a change. We talked back-and-forth about what to do and I really felt confident that I would be happy in the end. One thing that I really loved about Trish was she really took the time when coloring my hair, separating the strands and applying the color and foils for my highlights. I have been to a few other places where the stuff was just kind of slapped on. Not here. It was just a very pleasant experience. She showed me a better way of applying mousse and working it through and I watched her as she took the time to style my hair. She did A really fantastic job and I left there with a great cut and style and beautiful highlights. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the shampoo was one of the best I've gotten in my life. Lucy did a fabulous job there too. So on my way home I hit that inevitable cluster that is I 95 south at rush-hour and it took me an hour and five minutes to get home. I like TNT so much that it will not prevent me from coming back to see Trish again. I'll just get an earlier appointment next time.
