All five star reviews and I honestly don't think they capture just how crazy good this can be for so many former athletes and people in pain. I tore my hamstring and it's been a constant battle for the past decade. Run, tweak, rest, run a little slower, tweak, rest. Run a lot slower, and yup, tweak again, and then just sit around feeling sorry for yourself for getting old. Next thing you know, you can't break a 10 minute mile without fear of tweaking again. That's like a fast walk! So I spent a total of 15 minutes being stretched and poked a little. Not sure what happened really. Went downstairs and jogged for about two minutes and I felt fine. I asked how many more treatments I'd need. "Zero, I hope. You should be good to go." So I'm a week out and it's winter here so managed a couple treadmill sessions at the local Y. Didn't want to be greedy, but did some interval training at 8:30 pace and NADA. No tightness. No twinge. Nothing. Pain FREE! It's like voodoo magic. Will try to work my way up, but it's literally the most too good to be true, but it really is true moment I've experienced in a long time! Anyone with that annoying bad tight HAMMY, make an appointment and walk fast! It's CRAZY. I don't even know how else to describe how effective ART can be. Heading over for my shoulder next! read more

Christina has hands of gold! She has the delicate touch when needed, always finds the spot where it hurts and she really knows her stuff. She has a very pleasant and calm personality and does wonders with her hands. A very skilled massage therapist whom I have seen quite often. read more

After 8 years of intense shoulder pain that went untreated by multiple orthopedic surgeons and other pain doctors, Christina was the first person to take my pain seriously and take the pain away! She was so considerate and explained everything that she felt when she was working on my shoulder. 8 years of shoulder pain melted away in one session. I had a few more follow-ups to deal with some additional pain and Christina fixed every single spot. I'm so relieved that I was able to find a specialist that fixed my problems and so mad that my doctors never recommended seeing an ART therapist to address my pain. Since then, Christina has helped both my parents with additional wrist, nerve and shoulder pain. Booking with her is super easy and the whole process is incredibly affordable. I highly, highly recommend going to see Christina for any pain you're experiencing - she's incredibly knowledgable and amazing at finding the root cause of the pain and alleviating it in a short time. read more

AMAZING! Malik was simply perfect. That deep tissue massage truly felt like a reset. Malik paid attention to what I felt, what I wanted us to focus on and explained details as needed along the way. I am definitely coming back! Perfect for me to release the tension from my muscles and continue to exercise, and such a relaxing experience too! Thanks so much Malik and Rebalance Massage Therapy! Can't wait for my next visit. read more

I booked a last second massage for my sis and she loved it. ..Then I booked an ART appointment and a deep tissue for myself. Christina is amazing!! The price is insanely affordable and my back felt so much better after the ART session. In terms of the deep tissue, it was relaxing yet my achy muscles felt so much better after! For someone so small, she really puts in a lot of muscle! (Then again, she's also a powerlifter...) I can't wait to come back to Albany for Christina and the gym! read more

Really great vibe and she knows what she is doing. I have consisting neck and upper shoulder pain along with hip pain. She found things, moved them around and I felt a drastic difference on the spot. This was about a week ago and I still feel the relief. I would definitely go back to figure out my other kinks. Note that the sessions are 20 min. So if you're like me and have a world of mess to address, you will likely need to break down the sessions. She did great about working to address everything I brought up! read more

Went in for the first time for a 90min massage, and had a great experience with Felicia. Will be coming back!!

Christina cured upper back spasms I've had for years in one visit! I had been to many doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists and taken many medications over 7 years but nothing had resolved it. Active release therapy is not well known but it works. Since she helped with my back I have recommended many friends who also have had good results. I returned when i had tingling in my fingers and she was able to eliminate that. Also helped with hip/it band issues. read more

Christina was great! Found all kinds of nerves stuck together! Worked her magic and back pain is gone 75% !! What a miracle worker!!! I send everyone to her! read more

Today Felecia at Rebalance gave me the best deep tissue massage I have ever had. I am an avid cyclist with a complicated injury history and sore muscles. Felicia asked if there were an specific areas I would like her to focus on, as most message therapists do. But unlike most of the other people who've asked me that question, Felicia listened intently and responded to me with details that let me feel like she truly understood what I was saying was going on with my body. Then she gave me a massage that made it clear that she understood perfectly not only what I said was going on but also how to address my problems. I have had many massages over the years (My mother is a massage therapist) but none compared to this one. I can't recommend Felicia at Rebalance Massage Therapy highly enough. read more

Christina has miracle hands. I have gone to her several times and she has fixed every issue in just 15 minutes. She fixed issues that chiropractors and massages could not fix. She knows exactly where to put pressure on your body to get to the heart of the issue. I truly could not recommend her more. Beyond all that her prices are so reasonable. read more

I came to Christina hardly able to move. I had hurt my left shoulder and could hardly move my arm or neck. It had been a week of constant headaches, taking ibuprofen every 4 hours, trying to stretch it out, applying a heating pad, and it wasn't getting any better. I was frustrated and miserable. I called Christina and she suggested ART, and I was skeptical but it sounded like it could help so I gave it a try. ART involved Christina applying pressure to different parts of my shoulder and neck, and then moving my arms and stretching my neck in conjunction with this pressure. When I left, I still had some pain, but my headache was FINALLY gone and I felt a lot looser. She gave me a stretch to do every 15 minutes, which I obviously didn't really do every 15 minutes, but I did as often as I could remember. She told me that the release would keep happening throughout the day and I could expect to keep feeling better. The next day I felt about 70% back to my old self. I couldn't believe it. I kept stretching and applying heat. By the time I had my follow-up appointment (5 days after the initial appointment) I felt 95% better, just a little leftover pain in my neck during some motions. That follow up appointment was yesterday, and I feel amazing today. Time to get back to rock climbing and being active! I was a little intimidated by all the pictures of body builders and huge muscly dudes (I'm a scrawny lady) and the fact that it was in a weight lifting gym. But don't worry--you don't have to be a body builder to go here! Christina is very professional and friendly. I will swear by her to anyone who is having muscle issues and will continue to go back to her if anything else ever happens to me. Give her a try! read more

Was able to schedule a same day appointment and walked out with more mobility and less pain in my lower back and legs than I've had in years. Couldn't recommend more highly, and I've been to many chiros and PTs for issues including migraines and a herniated disc. read more

Amazing... one word. Amazing. Fix my long term problem in one session. It is like magic. Christina is knowledgeable and very friendly.

The absolute best in the area . She has helped me with dislocated ribs, pulled hamstring s, and even a bout with bells palsy. When your involved in a lot of different high impact sports you need a therapist as well as a masseuse. Awesome awesome awesome. Always there in an emergency. Thank you rebalance read more

I made an appointment with Christina for and ART session based on a recommendation from a gym friend. I've been working through a frozen shoulder as a result from a complete tear in my rotator cuff that required surgery. 8 months post surgery and 6 months of stretching and physical therapy exercises only got me so far. After 1 session with Christina I almost feel completely normal again. I don't understand the science behind this type of therapy but I do know that I can now put my hair in a ponytail and I'm nearly pain free. This is a great resource to have in the area and Christina is wonderful to work with. Another great aspect of this method is that it's very direct and it doesn't require months of sessions. read more

Christina is wonderful! Her knowledge of the human anatomy is incredible! She is very skilled in her work as she's using gifted hands. I was blessed by the ART "Active Release Technique" treatments I received at her location right above Albany Strength XXXL Gym. The difference I experienced was drastic, night and day, as pain was greatly relieved, functional mobility returned and comfort restored. I recommend her to anyone who has new or old injuries, muscle pain/soreness and/or lack of ROM/functional mobility. I felt great after 1 treatment, and continued to see her another few times to further address other issues affecting different parts of my body. She was instrumental in facilitating the healing process in a recent muscle strain from an injury at work. Thank you Christina, you're a blessing to many! Please continue to master your craft, the Lord has truly blessed you! Col 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people. " Ps 90:17 "Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!" John 17:3 "And this is the way to have eternal life--to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. " read more

I am a 15+ year senior competitive ballroom dancer that had injured my left leg prior to having to compete at a large competition this weekend. I was concerned about being able to dance well with the injury especially since I was competing in numerous highly competitive heats. I had tightness in my lower hamstring, pain in my gluteus maximus and pain in my hip joint. On Friday, I went for a treatment on Friday at Rebalance Massage Therapy in Albany where Christina used Active Release Technique (ART) on my leg and neck. It worked wonders! I usually don't ever get relief this even after getting deep tissue massages. In the end I had danced my personal best and am thankful for finding Christina and this technique . read more

You don't have to suffer as much as you do. I've tried California acupuncture, acupressure, various massage and yogic treatments, western meds, and chiropractors for bodily injuries, aches, pains and strains. No other practice, including yoga, stretching, ointments etc. gave nearly as much relief from my physical aches, pains, strains and injuries as Christina has. I've gone in for short visits to attend to a burned out shoulder / rotator cuff injury on separate occasions and improved in mobility by 70% in under a half hour. Much less pain too. What a relief. The active release therapy practiced by this particular body builder has done my injured body much good and I wish I had found her in CA, but there she is in down town Albany NY. Surprise surprise! read more

My two appointments with Christina were amazing. In less than 15 minutes, she was able to restore lost mobility to both shoulders due to old injuries and bad habits. I'm now back up and running and more active than I have been in the past few years! She is a truly a miracle worker and her rate is unbeatable. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment immediately!! read more

Christina did an amazing job releasing the tension throughout my body (especially the chronic pain in my neck/shoulders and lower back pain). Her enthusiasm to stay up to date on trying new techniques, as a massage therapist, truly makes a difference (whereas most people are set in their ways). I am so grateful she was able to squeeze me in a number of times (on short notice). I wish her much success in further growing her business and hope that she will still be able to repair my very broken body when I most need it. She deserved every penny of that $20 tip. Thanks again! read more

When I 1st looked up Rebalance it was only have KT Tape application for some pain associated with swimming work outs. Christina suggested A.R.T. so knowing nothing about it I looked it up and decided, why not. I have to say I had my doubts but Christina explained the history and practice of this therapy and I have to say I'm a believer now and have sent her website to others with chronic pain. As someone mentioned she's petite but has hands like vice grips and can really manipulate the affected areas and really understands what's going on with the muscles. Only had to go 2x and feel great now. read more

Rebalance is the ONLY place to go for a professional, knowledgeable, and comfortable Massage experience in Albany. A+++

Hands down (pun intended) best massage I've ever had. I am a repeat customer....Christina is the best. She creates a comfortable sanctuary for healing! read more

Christina is a life saver. I came in with extreme back pain making it hard to breath and just general discomfort. Without pointing to where the pain was, she was able to locate it based on the symptoms I explained to her. I was going to the chiro and massage therapy but both were unsuccessful. After one session with Christina I was fixed. I didn't feel 100% right away and she explained that throughout the day it will start to feel better..I was skeptical at first but she was right. Working so close/on the nerve was a little uncomfortable, but she knew what had to be done and I trust her 100%. This is the only place I'll go now and will recommend her to all serious athletes/lifters and anybody who wants a pain-free life. (The prices are just unbeatable for the services you receive) Thank you!! read more
