I've been a loyal client of Karen's since that first massage and have literally followed her wherever she has been practicing. Karen has extraordinary instincts as a massage therapist and has expanded her practice to include cupping, Reiki and other specialized healing arts. Since she knows me so well, she understands exactly where she needs to focus and spend time. I'm usually an absolute mess by the time I can finagle my schedule to see her and need serious deep tissue help. I was visiting from out of town and needed massage for upper back and neck pain. Karen was able to see me twice within a short time and the pain has decreased considerably. Her massage room is very private and serene, conducive to relaxation. The background music is perfect. The massage table is heated and comfortable. I have gotten massages for a number of years, from a variety of therapists and I think that Karen is a wonderful practitioner. She is intuitive and responsive in regard to listening to the type of massage that I was seeking. Use of essential oils adds to the overall experience. Karen is very knowledgeable in the art of healing. She will not only try and pinpoint where the issue is coming from, she will research things for you to help you feel better; ie: oils, exercise, foods, etc. Karen has strong hands but she will make sure her pressure is to your liking. I have been to Karen on several occasions and will not go to anyone else. I like to stick with the same massage person as they get to know your issues and it becomes a relationship that is completely trusted. Karen has also helped my husband with a problem he was having with numbness in his fingers. Karen found the issue was coming from his neck. I highly recommend Karen North for massage therapy. I intially hired Karen when I had been working with attempting to resolve some ongoing shoulder/neck and knee pain. I am an athlete and had been using adjustments to my work out with some success but not complete. Karen's massage therapy sessions were excellent. I credit her work with additional resolution of these pain areas. In addition, Karen's massage therapy sessions are deeply relaxing. She works extremely hard and diligently. Karen checks in with how you are feeling and what areas might be giving you trouble or are particularly tense. Karen is easy to schedule with through email and she confirms appointments. At one point I saw Karen for intense lower back pain - one of the big muscles on the left hand side. Karen fit me in as soon as I contacted her.
