There has only been once in the past 5 years that Dale has said that he couldn't get my vehicle in right away, and that was in 2020 right after the Derecho when Everyone needed their cars repaired. Outstanding customer experience! I stopped by to have them assess a noise my passenger side door had started to make after it was last serviced (in San Diego), and provide a quote for repair. Sooner (and shinier!!) than expected!! We are so happy we chose Ream to complete body work on our 2009 Toyota. The paint work is flawless...not even so much as a buff swirl to be found...and it was returned to us gleaming inside and out. I was very impressed with their work and service. They even had loaner cars available! My husband broke my car the day before I was set to take a very important career exam. My car was barely able to make it there. They got me in right away. They gave me a loaner car and even made an exception for me to drive it out of town for my exam. They were a life saver! First of all, this is not a review reaming ream, so to speak. At the end of the day, their work was flawless and I couldn't even tell I had been in an accident. But my only issue with them is how long they took. So I got in an accident July 2nd. They told me the estimated time it would take for my car to be done was 5-7 days...I got my car back yesterday, 7/23 (3 weeks). Now, if you're a high schooler with no responsibilities (unless you have a job;good for you), there is no problem. But I just graduated college and had to sacrifice a couple of days of my internship because I was left with no ride. This happened on three separate occasions. The last week they worked on the car, they told me "it would be ready tomorrow" for three days straight starting that Monday. Finally Thursday comes and I can actually get my car back. Like I said before, the job they did was amazing, but it should not take that long. It was probably worse for me because I only have liability insurance, in which case they don't lend out loaners. They only do for full insurance. In the end, I would definitely recommend Ream but just make sure they are not busy at the time or you're looking at a long time without a car. 3/5 because of length of time. We worked with Marty at Ream and he was so excellent in working with my insurance company after my accident. He kept me updated and informed on how the repairs were going and really knew how to talk to the insurance company to ensure all the necessary repairs were covered! They even have loaner cars available for $1 which was a HUGE help while my vehicle was being repaired. They did excellent work in an efficient manner. I have an old Honda that is only insured for liability that lost its bumper and casing. I went to three auto repair places in the Cedar Rapids area (one on Center Point that has initials B.M. and one on Boyson that sounds like magic spell) before Ream, and heard everything under the sun: that it was not able to be repaired due to structural integrity, that to fix it "would cost thousands," etc. Then I went to Ream. Instead of brushing me off in the parking lot, Scott shook my hand, told me to come into his office and have a seat. He took the time to call the local salvage shop and find out if any used bumpers were available. The price quote was good, the service was fast, and when I went to pick it up, I was surprised to find out they'd fixed a long-standing problem with the trunk to boot at no extra charge. The work was superb - the car looks like it had never been damaged. The people at Ream are professional, yet friendly, and they follow up on their work to make sure you are satisfied.
